Kinda cool if youre into older crowds singing karaoke while eating /drinking. they got private rooms tho if you want privacy. food is okay but portions arent great for price. atmosphere is decent. very minimslist. tbh, feels like a larger sized One Shot Pocha (off longpoint in Houston) but worse priced. If Soho7th and One Shot Pocha had a baby that didnt graduate college, this would Hongdae Pochae

Today was grand opening so we decide to stop by and grab some Korean food. The place was very roomy and spacious . It is sorta loud but it's to be expected because it's a karaoke place. I ordered several dishes. I was a bit disappointed with the corn cheese. It just look like they pours can corn on the hot plate and added cheese on top . The cheese wasn't even broiled on top so it kinda just came out 1 big blob when I scooped it up. There was lots of water from the canned corn on the platter too. I highly recommend they drain it completely before placing it on the hot platter. The spicy fried chicken was very flavorful and delicious. I like this the best. It wasn't really spicy more like tasty and sweet. I give it a 1 on spice level. We tried the grilled eel which was meh. There wasn't much meat of the eel and the onions, scallions and ginger took away from all the flavor of eel. Service was good, just push the button and they come to you within 30 seconds. Overall this a fun place to be, I would recommend getting a room to sing karaoke and grabbing some delicious wings.

Tasty dishes and awesome vibe! This spot transports you to the lively streets of an Asian night market. Service is friendly and fast! Can't wait to come back at night and couple dinner with some Soju and karaoke!

Love this place -- they are locally owned and we always visit their sister location So Gong Dong! The service is always great and this is a perfect place for large groups. They have karaoke rooms if you want a more intimate experience and they have a large stage in the center for karaoke in front of a crowd which is my fave! They have a lot of typical Korean street food from rice to soup to teeokbokki. They have craft cocktails, Soju, maekgolli, and beyond. We love coming to this spot to just unwind and hangout for a chill night. 10/10 recommend

Another karaoke and food spot in the Katy neighborhood! The food here was great! I didn't love their fried chicken, but the tteoboki was super good and their seafood pancake was awesome. Loved their octopus dish as well. Their karaoke system is actually one of the nicest ones I've seen in Houston where you can switch from the old school Korean one that got OG Korean songs, and YouTube, so if you want to sing some newer pop hits or Indie songs, its all there available for you. And the interior deco is absolutely dope. If you've watched Itaewon Class, it's similar vibes and a total jam!

It's nice to have another pocha (Korean bar? Pub) in the Katy area! Everything in Katy closes early, so Hongdae Pocha is a good place to hangout with friends until late at night. Pros: -The place is clean. No sticky floors or tables!- the interior is nice & extremely spacious- the food is solid & varied- extensive soju + other alcohol menu- there are different seating options (private booths, smaller tables, longer tables for large groups)- private karaoke rooms- several tvs play various things from kpop mvs to sports- the owners are super friendly! They stopped by our table several times to ask how things were or to see if we needed anythingCons:- the lights were a bit brighter than preferable for a pub- there's an open area for karaoke. This may be a pro to some, but to us it was pretty distracting. I believe anyone in the dining area (not in a private karaoke room) can sing from their seat, which got very loud when we were visiting. Thankfully, the owner was obliging when we asked her to turn down the volume. I would prefer it would be better to open the stage every 30 mins or so or to let big parties make reservations for special events rather than having it available/open all the time, as it was too loud to have a conversation.Overall, this would be a great place to grab food, to enjoy karaoke, or do both! There weren't too many patrons, maybe because it's newly open, but I anticipate this business growing once they establish themselves :)
