Home cookin' cafe is dependably good breakfast in our neighborhood. It is always bustling with customers and they provide adequate wait staff so waits are not long. We see customers of all ages here and I believe many are regulars. The food is fresh and delicious. The coffee is good although not quite like a gourmet coffee shop- so we come for the food- not a fancy coffee beverage. They have country decor and regular tables and chairs with a few outdoor tables.

Hidden Gem. Think snooze meets steuben's at half price. Sleepy part of Arvada burbs in a plaza across from a gas station, but we're not here for ambiance or even service. But I must say it's one of the few I'd drop a 30% tip and still walk away overwhelmed with satisfaction. Breakfast food exceptional, service genuinely giving. (yes try those oat pancakes!)

My husband and I LOVED this place. The menu was great, the food was even better, and the service was the best of all! The food came out faster than fast food, but the food was perfectly cooked to order. Our server was as sweet, helpful, and attentive. I could tell the staff knew the regulars, they remembered their names and their orders. The breakfast burritos looked huge and amazing. The Reuben had a ton of fresh sliced/chopped corned beef. Just go! It is worth the trip!

Very good lunch/breakfast sport in Arvada. Limited tables inside so be ready for a wait. While everything our group ate was good, there was really nothing outstanding. My chicken fried steak was just a frozen patty with not much flavor and would have looked much more appetizing if it was served with the gravy on it. The chili cheese fries were tasty but would have been better if they were hot. The coffee is very mediocre so please take note. Very friendly and attentive waitstaff and hostess. I would recommend you give it a try

A few reviewers have already mentioned the poor and slow service here and I unfortunately had one of those experiences.Came on Saturday around noon and it was pretty busy but only had to wait about 15 min to get a table for 2. 5 stars for the lady who's always walking refilling your coffee. Your cup will never be empty with her around!2 stars for everything else. I get that places get busy and things can be slow. But 45 min wait for food seems pretty unacceptable - especially when not once during those 45 min did anyone check up on us (except the amazing coffee lady). What pissed me off though was how our waitress checked up frequently on the table literally next to us to apologize to them for the wait. Why do they get to be treated like actual customers and us like literal wall flowers? Idk you tell me.She also let that table know that there was an extra delay in the kitchen cuz they had to make a new batch of bacon. But you know what was supposed to be on my entree but didn't get? Bacon. I got no communication about it what so ever though. And of course That table next to us got their bacon. I ordered a Breakfast pizza with sausage gravy and you can choose from a list of toppings. The concept seemed great but wasn't executed very well. The dough and the sausage gravy were bland. There was no cheese where the toppings were to hold it together so whenever you pick up your slice everything slides off. There's a bunch of breakfast spots that serve very similar food. I'd avoid this place

We were in the area and decided to try Home Cookin for breakfast we had The Stacker it was very good! Also had the Mexican omelette. The green chili isn't very hot. It could have a little more spice. The hash browns were very good. Not too crispy! We will definitely be back when in the area.
