The best food truck in Goldsboro! The BBQ is second to none. They also have brisket on Tuesdays, and they have BBQ chicken (every day, I think). Breakfast is available as well (and they have a fried bologna sandwich with egg and cheese). Check it out for lunch....you won't be disappointed!

Very low key spot on a side street in downtown Goldsboro. Blink and you will walk right by it. Went in on a Tuesday around noon and the place looked empty, which is a shame because the food was delicious. I ordered 3 chopped bbq pork sandwiches and they were hot and ready in about 5 minutes. This is Eastern NC bbq with a vinegar based sauce and it was fantastic. The meat had the right amount of smoke and it was perfectly spiced. My Father in law (a 59 year resident of Wayne County, NC) liked it better than McCall's or Wilbur's. Got it to go so we didn't stick around but the decor was nice and the place was clean. The girl who took our order was attentive and polite. Ample bar in the back and the whole restaurant is bigger than it looks outside. Plenty of BBQ competition trophies and awards line the walls. The wooden tables look like reclaimed wood and are pretty cool.I wish more people would check it out. This guy Had earned his awards and his food is legit. We need more restaurants like this downtown.1 star taken off because I wish he was open later. This would be great after hitting up the Well Traveled Beer.

I used Haulin Hog to cater an event for the first time 03/28/16. I had 50 people. John came and delivered the food with all the trimmings. He did a very professional job on set up. I ordered grilled chicken breast with roasted red potatoes, green beans, tea as well as plates cups and cutlery. When I got my first look at the chicken breast I couldn't believe it, they were huge. About a pound and a half each. They were so moist and tender. He cooked them perfectly. The entire meal was great. I had many guests that wanted to know who catered and complimented on how good everything was. Thanks John, we really enjoyed it. I will call you again.

The food is disgusting, the service was unprofessional and amateur, beer was warm and the place was filthy. It's no wonder this place was empty on almost any given night. I ordered the brisket and it was dry and tasted old. Also had the mac and cheese which was crumbly and almost powder from sitting out and over cooking the noodles for hours and hours. My husband had pulled pork in a tiny portion and with soggy tasteless coleslaw. We would not visit this place ever again but in fact we couldn't because they've closed permanently and a Seafood Restaurant has started to work on opening in this location. See ya!

In my opinion they have the best brisket sandwich in Wayne County and possibly all of NC! The ribs are also some of the best I've had in the US.

Worst place I've ever been! The server was nice, but not knowledgeable about the menu at all. Asked a simple question and she had no idea what to say. The person I was with ordered the Brunswick stew and smoked Mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was utterly tasteless and Luke warm. I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich. It was cold in some spots and Luke warm in others. I wasn't happy. The owner asked me how everything was. I told him it was ok. He said "just ok?" I let him know about how Unhappy we were about the food. He wanted to give us our money back and I wanted to pay for my meal because we did eat it (we were hungry). He said "NO! Take your money back! The last thing I need is people walking out of my restaurant pissed off!" He said nothing else. I took my money back and left. He seemed very offended and made us very uncomfortable! Needless to say, I will NEVER go back there again. I'm letting everyone know how rude he was and how bad the food was. Terrible!!!
