Happy China Cafe

Okay, I know it's not the best picture here but, this is a picture of the BEST chicken noodle soup in the area. Put it this way, I drove about 15 miles just for this soup! Plenty of noodles, tender chicken, carrots, red & green bell peppers & my favorite, cabbage. It just really good. Very homey, and flavorful comfort food. I've tried other items on their menu and honestly every thing is good but this soup is my go to! I hope they never change their recipe because it's just amazing. BTW, I'm not a family member or employee. I always get my soup to go so dining experience is not in this rating.

Food taste good, I like that their chicken isn't soft it has a bit of a crunch.I'll order again..The reviews about the lady in the front are true.

First time going there, the service was not the best at all, we were not greeted, sat ourselves, waited 10 minutes for the hostess to acknowledge us. She was too busy eating her McDonald's. The restaurant was completely empty, once she took a couple of bites of her fries and burger she came up to us and dropped the paper menus, she then proceeded to sit down and eat her food again, we called her over and told her we were ready. After a while she brought out the appetizers and food all on styrofoam plates and handed us plastic utensils. The cups she brought out weren't even from the restaurant itself. The only good thing I can honestly say is that the food was hot. As for the taste the food tasted as though they poured lots of soy sauce on the meal . As for the place itself the hostess was blasting a movie she was watching on her phone so I couldn't really talk to my spouse in front of me cause it was hard to hear. I'm not sure where all these "good reviews" come from, just try at your own risk, and please if you had the same experience let others know. This place wasn't worth the money or the drive.

This place was definitely an experience to start they serve everything in styrofoam, the staff isn't very accommodating or friendly and the food is mediocre at best. Definitely will not be returning.

It's a bit of a drive to the other side of Pearland for me to get to Happy China and once there the parking is typically a little horrendous.I continue to return bc it's the only place I can trust to fulfill my egg foo young needs. Its also one of few places that even serves egg foo young. I typically get the house special egg foo young with fried rice and will occasionally add a hot n sour soup. I also like that for a nominal bit more, you can upgrade your rice side to one of their fried rice + protein options. Happy China is a great go to for egg foo young. Not the best I've ever had but a solid choice given the options available.Also the service is always good! The young lady at the checkout counter is always calm, sweet and pleasant.

Great food with fast delivery...this is the oly restaurant I order sweet an sour pork from!! The soup is great too!!

Food was A1 - service was fast especially for a call in pickup order - inside was clean / had a nice ambiance - new favorite Chinese food spot

I found this glass like sharp piece of plastic in my general tso chicken. I called them and told them what happen and they offer me 10% off after almost killing me. The nerve of them please stay away from this place because somebody in the kitchen don't care and the front end doesn't care either.

I have been frequenting this Chinese restaurant for quite some time. I've never had a issue, but on my last order there was glass in one of the entrees. I called and informed them and the woman who answers the phone and takes the order only said sorry. She didn't know what to do or say. I offered her suggestions on how she could make the situation better and she said no. I didn't even want my money back, but thought maybe a store credit would be nice. I'm very disappointed in this experience. They were by far the best I've had around here. But sadly I won't order again.

The food I ordered was amazing. I had the salt and pepper fried chicken wings and I had the Singapore noodles. OMG everything was exactly how it was supposed to taste. I am ordering again today. I have lived over here for two years and I'm so mad that I have not been enjoying this restaurant the whole time.
