Hanshin Pocha

This pocha just opened up recently on the new side of the Katy Asian Town Plaza. My friend and I did family style and split the large garlic soy chicken wings, rose tteokbokki (rice cake), and the marinated beef bulgogi. The rose tteok was super creamy and delicious. It was not too spicy, so I would recommend this over the traditional tteok as people with lower spice tolerances can still enjoy it. There are a lot of sides included like sausage, noodles, fish cake, and lettuce. I just wish there was more tteok though. The chicken wings were really flavorful and crunchy and came with a side of corn, lettuce, and pickled radish. The beef bulgogi also had amazing flavors as well and I liked how there was japchae added. Overall, the service was amazing. The servers came almost immediately after we rang the bell and answered all our questions thoroughly. They also provided us with sides of rice without charge, which I appreciated. There was a decent amount of seating with six seats per table so I'm not sure how larger parties than six can be accommodated; however, it was a great place to eat at with K-Pop playing and music videos on the TVs throughout. My only critique was there was a fairly limited menu.

I was shocked when i saw we were getting this place because i loved it so much when i was in korea! Mostly everything that i order from here is always super good especially the ramen, this has got to be one of my fave places for Korean style ramen. Prices are pretty average but service is always great and they close late.

Great place for late night food and drinks!! The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The chicken feet here is so good!! The pineapple soju was fun too and comes with the plate of pineapples they cut out!

When I heard that a new pocha opened up in Houston, I was excited, however, I was a bit underwhelmed when I left. The place was a bit smaller than I imagined, there was no karaoke room inside. The menu was very limited and the restaurant seemed dead for a Saturday night, given this was the first week that they had been open in the new plaza of Katy Asia Town. The service was quite slow considering they weren't really busy but the servers themselves were very personable and seemed like they were happy to be there. The food took a while to come out but they came out hot and fresh. It was very filling but it was nothing extraordinary. It was quite pricey but it's expected from pochas usually. A bonus in my book was that they kept playing LOONA on the TV!!!

It was our first time at Hanshin Pocha. We ordered the short ribs and a mango apple soju cocktail. The ribs came with 2 kimchi side dishes and a potato dish, and we could order rice alongside it. Service and staff were very friendly and warm. We really enjoyed the lighting in the area, along with the mukbang and K-Pop music videos playing. It was a little on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and drink were good.

I have been ordered togo only and their food is very good. The person that takes order on the phone is very nice and have good communication. keep it up!

Been here twice so far and it's a very close pocha that is in the katy area. Although the pocha is secluded in the plaza, I would say it's a hidden gem for late night korean food. When walking in there are booths that make it more private for your group and there is a caller button whenever you need something. The service is great and were very friendly! We ordered the boneless ppuring chicken, tofu soup, the fried fish and crab cutlet and beef intestines. All were very good but our favorite was the chicken and intestines! We also got the blue lemonade cocktail which was a big portion and packed a punch. Overall, would come here again for late night food and fun with friends!

Went today and enjoyed. Deducted a star since there was no happy hour. But food, option was on point. Need more selection on Asian beer

This is one of the places I have been waiting for to come to Katy Asia Town. I love Korea and I really love the bar food. This exceeded my expectations. You can tell the place is catered to young adults with the neon sign " Please don't do crack in the bathroom" lol. Maybe don't bring kids here. The ambiance is nice, I'm sure it's something close to what a bar in Korea is like. Thank God they stayed true to banchan with the free refills lol. I had to get my two favorite things: wings and corn cheese. They were delicious! For the corn cheese, I'm not really the biggest fan of mayo, so when I saw it was more maybe like a cream it made me very happy lol. The wings had great crispy texture and I believe I got the soy garlic wings. They also came with a bit of ranch as well which I greatly appreciated. I like having to press a button when I need a server because it makes everything much easier. The pricing was IMO really good for the quantity and quality of the food. I will be coming by again!
