Hank's Crawfish Bar & Grill

I have been here several times over the crawfish season and it's worth it every time. Spice is subjective but medium is enough for me. They are always running some sort of deal during the season. I generally sit at the bar so service is quick an attentive. It's very New Orleans here from music to decorations. Trust me, next season I'll definitely be back here and if you beat me. save me a seat! Gonna go cry now since I've had my last crawfish of the season.

Update: Went here about a year ago and the crawfish and service were crap. Decided to give them another try this weekend . They said the crawfish they had were live so I was contemplating ordering some. Our waiter said he could bring a sample (which he did... FYI, a sample is $2). The 2 crawfish he brought were mushy and old. I decided to go with something else. My partner wanted the fried rice since that was his favorite. We thought there was no way they could mess up the fried rice and we were wrong. It lacked flavor and was bland.Needless to say, we will not be going back. An establishment that was once our go to has now turned into a won't go.

Nooooooo!! Not my Hanks! I would give a 1 star for today's experience, but because they have consistently had the best crawfish on the planet, I will give them a break. It's still April, yet these were FROZEN. You can always tell by the chewy, chalky texture and the bendy shells. That's why I never order their snow crab! But not the crawfish in peak season We can accept 1 crappy experience out of 10 plus years of awesomeness.. but we were told it's because it's late season by the manager. late season!!? It's not even May yet. We've had them at the VERY end of the season and the VERY beginning. The only difference was smaller in size and a hard shell. Either the manager is dumb OR he thinks we are. Terrible. We drive over an hour for this and feel completely betrayed. I took the amazing juice and plan to make some at home. thank goodness we were eating them 2lbs at a time so we could cut our losses and go somewhere else.RIP HANKS. Thank you for the years of good times, great music and epic crawdads.

Crawfish was fantastic! Service was even better. We will be back very soon to try out the many other items on the menu that sound wonderful. If everything else is as good as the crawfish then this might end up being our new once a month spot.Wendy was our waitress and was seemingly always right next to us when we were needing anything. I hope she's there next time as well.

I went into Hank's today for a quick 2 lbs fix of crawfish. Unfortunately it left a very bad taste in my mouth. First the crawfish was served with about 20 ounces or boil/water in my bag, which made the crawfish continue to cook. 1/3 of the crawfish were mushy. Second the crawfish were very very small. Third the favor was marginal at best. This was all at the hefty market price of $10.99 per pound. Garlic, potatoes and corn will cost you extra. I would not recommend Hank's for your crawfish experience.

Overcooked, dirty and way too spicy! I love spice but DAMN. I asked for a medium and we could not even suck the heads! The boil still had GRASS in it and the water in the bottom was BLACK. The only saving grace here was that they were fast and the flavor. I can see it being decent if the boil wasn't dirty and overly spicy. Idk if we got a bad batch because they were about to close but this was almost inedible do better yall.

Almost the same experience as the person below me. I ordered boiled crabs and it was like they reboiled them in plain water. I bring them back and they tell me my tastebuds are off. Huh? You all reboiled the crabs to reheat them and they were boiled too long which made the crab meat mushy. NEVER AGAIN! And the owner's managers response to another shows what type of people they hire. How can you get mad at me for rating MY EXPERIENCE!

My friends and I love this place because the crawfish are always really good. BUT NOT TODAY!!! Today, 3/28/24, the crawfish were flavorless and tasteless. A literal spicy hot mess.. They were a nice size, but had no flavor. It's apparent that the boil wasn't prepared correctly. . The fried shrimp were overcooked and also had no seasoning. We spent about $200- no alcohol - and left underwhelmed and disappointed. I need a do over. They must have a new chef this season. .

Food and service was good but come on Hanks... You shouldn't be serving customers in these disgusting old cups. Buy new cups for the customers that support your establishment. You can afford it!!!
