Tried to book a rezzie around 5pm on a friday and got a 9pm rezzie. walked in around 6 something and sat on the couch in the front and ordered from there. a little uncomfortable to eat with a coffee table especially being so high end but it workedGyoza- 5 small pieces. $26 apple slices, creamy sauce, herbs and gyoza. it was a burst of good flavor for sure. Black truffle mac and cheese $24: really good esp when hot. good portion, almost an entree portionhamachi jalapeno $20 something? 6 very thin slices but very very fresh and tastyFilet flight 12 oz total- 4 oz each $110: prime rib was really tasty, wagyu was great, grass fed was still tasty. i really like the centers and medium rare was fabulous6 cookies for $12 was absolutely fabulous. really tiny cookie muffin things, milk chocolate, white chocolate just oozes into your mouth. Sooooo good fresh.Servers were very friendlyOverall great experience. love the ambiance and food was good. obvi just really high end and pricey!

We decided to have our first dinner in Denver here to celebrate my birthday and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. The building itself is beautiful and has floor to ceiling windows that are breathtaking. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the team. The host Moses had us take a seat while our table was being prepared with a thoughtful birthday card signed by the staff. Elegant little touches like that are always appreciated. We were impressed by how beautiful the restaurant is and to see the chefs working in the open kitchen which always seems special. Our server Gene welcomed us and explained some of the highlights of the menu. We knew what we wanted to eat and placed our orders including a glass of Champagne for each of us.Edwyn decided that we couldn't come to one of the best steak restaurants in the country without ordering a bottle of wine, so sommelier Doug helped us in choosing one of the best wines we've ever tasted, called Bergstrom, which was from our favorite wine region, the Willamette Valley in Oregon.Gene brought us the most delicious amuse-bouche which was the perfect way to begin our spectacular culinary adventure. For our starter, we ordered crispy sushi tuna bites with Serrano pepper and avocado and spicy aioli that we're still dreaming about. Edwyn decided on the roasted sea bass and I chose the wagyu filet cooked to a perfect medium rare, and every dish was superb.Throughout the evening, Gene and other members of the staff stopped by to check on us and make sure that we were enjoying ourselves which we undoubtedly were.Their combination of attention to detail, level of professionalism and refinement, their commitment to customer service, the incredible food and wine, and the genuine hospitality were undoubtedly the culinary highlight of our trip. Our sincere thanks to the entire talented team for making our visit so memorable and special. Now we know why it's one of the best restaurants in the country.

This ended up being a happy accident visit. I had originally wanted to go somewhere else for my bday dinner, but that place didn't have reservations available so we ended up making reservations for Guard and Grace. It's located in the middle of the financial district. Upon entering we were greeted warmly and told our table would be ready shortly. We waited about 10 minutes before we were taken to our table. The place was packed on a Saturday night. Our server was amazing, he made the experience. He walked us through the menu, let us know what to expect and answered our questions. You have to get steak at a steakhouse it's a must. I got the steak flight and it was absolutely amazing. They use the carrot on top as guide. There was the grass fed, wagyu and prime. My favorite was the wagyu. We got sides that are able to be shared. We ended up getting broccoli, mashed potatoes, and the macaroni. For two of us that was way too much in sides. I would say you could skip the macaroni, it wasn't all that good but I won't take a star away just for the one thing I didn't like. I loved that they gave a birthday card with dinner and it was such a thoughtful little touch. And for dessert I had the cheesecake which was exquisite. The vibes inside the restaurant are definitely classy steakhouse with bare minimum decorations so the food speaks for itself. It's definitely a special occasion type of place.

Awesome classic steakhouse ambience. We got seated quickly once our party was here. The rolls we started with were great - super fluffy and incredibly hot, and the mustard butter that went with them was phenomenal. For sides we did the brussels sprouts and truffle mac, and started with the himachi and beef tartare - all were great. Steak was perfectly cooked, but for the size I ordered I think I had way too much bone marrow (my fault, and a good problem to have). Would be back instantly when visiting Denver.

The BEST steak dinner I've had, not only in Denver, but anywhere. The food is exquisite, the service is the best you'll find, and the entire place runs like a machine designed to make you feel special and comfortable. Try the crispy tuna roll to start! What could be better than having a perfectly cooked filet for dinner? Try the flight of three! Every drink was made with excellence and we were never left with an empty cup, a dirty plate, an unanswered question, or chance to add another course to our meal without a wait. The only downside ... not really one at all, other than you'll need to make a reservation well in advance to get a good time. You need to have dinner at Guard & Grace, so get it reserved now.

This place is supposed to be one of the TOP steakhouses in Denver and idk I feel conflicted on the visitz I think it is is WILDLY OVERPRICED. Started with the charcuterie for $30 and they ask us did you want any cheese with that. I thought odd question and he suggests burrata so we say sure... well that's because that's ANOTHER $24 for cheese ON A CHARCUTERIE. Like ok... it was just ok Charcuterie of 4-5 Toasted bread, some salami, a fig, shmear of some mustard, spoon of apricot jam I think, small dipping sauce cup of chicken liver pate, nuts then the additional burrata. Not the most amazing charcuterie I've ever had for almost $60 bucks. Also not a lot of variety in my opinion.Next we got salads and they are large and definitely share these. The house is humongous greens a few tomatoes- honestly 3-4 people can share 1 salad. The dressing was non existent so we asked for a side extra. The wedge was meh, a wedge of iceberg a few tomatoes, bacon pieces, blue cheese and that's all. Very bland. I wish it had red onion and a drizzle of balsamic to offset. But that's my opinion of how a true wedge should be. To share I would say 1 between 2 people. With that we got these potatoe rolls- they came out beautifully glazed and were just cold and not very fluffy. For the meal we paid I would expect a better bread. (TEXAS ROADHOUSE ROLLS ANYONE?)My guests shared the filet flight and for 2 it's about 6oz each and plenty. Really liked the grass fed and of course wagyu cuts. The prime was just ok. They give with just 1 sad carrot lol it's kind of silly. We got mashed potatoes and Brussels with it and AGAIN - nothing amazing about either. I got the Black cod and I did like my fish it was plentiful size, glazed nicely. My other guest got the seabass and also nice dish with baby bok choy and roasted fingerlings. Also added the warmCookies and they were so round still and puffy I first thought it was just dough. Wasn't amazing for $15 for 6. The bill for 4 came out to $451 with just 2 glasses of wine. I had a gift certificate for $200 so we paid $251 and I would say if I didn't have the Gc I would feel like we were wildly overcharged. This was a $250 meal NOT WORTH $450!!! I would say up your game on bread and salads and charcuterie for $450 or slightly lower prices. Overall Eugene our waiter was attentive and place was busy but nothing overly pretentious about interior.

This place is fantastic. The cocktails are well-made, the servers are knowledgeable about the menu and friendly, and the atmosphere is upscale but comfortable. Do not miss the black cod, it was absolutely incredible. Our server let us know that it can be served as an off-menu surf and turf, so you can get a half serving with your steak. The crispy rice and gyoza are great starters with tons of flavor. For sides, we got the whipped potatoes and the gnocchi, which were both delicious. I can't wait to be back in Denver to try this place again.

My fiance and I had a fantastic anniversary dinner at Guard & Grace this week! Our server, Steven was very attentive and friendly. We like to take our time ordering and we never felt rushed. Steven gave us wonderful recommendations and informed us that they can do half orders of several dishes on the menu. We started with the crispy tuna sushi and the oak grilled octopus. Both appetizers were fresh and bright! The portion sizes are great for sharing. For entrees, we had the half order of the Alaskan black cod and 4oz of the A5 wagyu steak. We also shared a smaller portion of the black truffle Mac & cheese that our waiter recommended. The black cod is their signature fish and I really enjoyed it. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness. The A5 wagyu that my fiancé ordered was very tender and delicious! The black truffle Mac and cheese was so cheesy and had a great amount of truffle flavor. Don't skip dessert! We loved the butter cake with palisade peaches. The mini espresso martini was the perfect size for a desert cocktail. Overall, we had a great experience and will be recommending this restaurant to family & friends. If you're in the Denver area definitely dine at Guard and Grace!

I'm so happy I was able to get a last minute reservation here. I heard this was the best steakhouse in Denver and it didn't disappoint. We started with their house bread which was very, very soft. For our appetizers, we got the oak fired carrots and A5 gyoza. The carrots were tender with the pistachio providing the crunch. The A5 gyoza was probably my favorite thing. The meat was so good and I was a big fan of the apple on top. Along with the food I tried the Oaxacan in strawberry fields and the life in the sass lane. Big fan of the first drink and not so much the second.Next came our entrees and sides. We got crispy Brussels sprouts which were exactly what's you want. The potatoes au gratin were smooth and the gnocchi was soft. I ended up getting their play on a surf and turf which was half cod, half steak. The cod was just perfect with just the right amount of sweetness while the filet mignon was tender. Finally, we got two desserts: triple chocolate chip cookies and sticky toffee cake. The cookies were phenomenal with them having the right balance of crisp and gooey. My first time getting toffee cake and I was a fan. The cool ice cream clashing with the warm cake was ideal and the raspberry coulis on the side provided some extra sweetness.Overall, I thought that this place was great. The service was top notch, lots of variety in the food (nothing being below average), and an inviting atmosphere.

Perfect scores here. We had a wonderful meal with exceptional service. It was truly difficult to decide on a particular menu choice because everything sounds so amazing. I would highly recommend this place for a business meal or that date that you might be trying to impress. It's upscale but very comfortable. The steaks are crazy good but so are the fish dishes. I would warn you though that the sides are huge, so plan on sharing them or you risk leaving very overstuffed like I did!
