Grill on the Hill

Visisted Grill on the Hill after spending the night in Benson. I skipped the Hampton Inn breakfast and I'm not mad that I did. I arrived around 9:15 and I was the only person there. By the time I left at 10:00 the place was packed. Just an FYI for late Saturday breakfasters. I ordered the Red Hot sandwich (Brightleaf Red Hot, egg, and cheese on toast) with tater tots. It took maybe a little longer than I would have expected to come out from the kitchen but I wasn't in a rush. The sandwich was so good. I loved the extra kick of the red hot. The egg was fried just right and the bread was well-toasted. Tater tots were crispy and hot. Could have used a touch of seasoning. The seating area is plentiful and accommodated many of the families there for breakfast today. They've got merchandise hanging on the back wall so clearly this place is well known and loved. I can see why!

Fried chicken, and country steak and mashed potatoes were pretty good. When we were there desserts were wiped out that were out. Maybe there was more in the back. Veggies tased were mostly canned. No one had hats on and it seemed a bit chaotic behind the service line. Not impressed. A gas station outside but 95% restaurant inside. Weird.

Running out of local places for breakfast, we decided to check if this one served breakast, and we were glad we did.It's part of a gas station, convenience store setup, off Interstate 40.We both had breakfast plates, eggs, bacon, toast and sausage. Served hot, fresh and quick. The toast, seriously, was the best I've had at any local breakfast place.No table service, order at counter, find a seat. They call your name.At least you can sit and enjoy your meal.We'll be back, lunch or dinner if they offer. Drinks are self-serve at a bar in the convenience store part of this gas station. The offered freshly brewed iced tea, as well. Support local business!

It's attached to a gas station but don't let that scare you off. Super friendly and welcoming. We had our new puppy with us and sat outside on the porch. Awesome burger and home made chips were great and prices very reasonable.

Great burgers and breakfast when passing through for a rest break traveling. Very clean and large seating area. It's no frills; just country hospitality with great food. It's my regular Saturday breakfast place.

I always get a BLT. My son always gets a patty sausage biscuit with cheese. I am never disappointed. We live super close, so if we have time in the early AM, we make a stop. I hope all your renovations go well!! We will see you when you open back up!!!

Right by my doctor office, had to fast for blood work so went here for breakfast. IT WAS FANTASTIC. Tried a burger and onion rings for lunch the next day and TERRIFIC. Never would have expected such friendly people and great food here. I will be back.

Love our little home town grill on the hill, wish they could be open more often and longer. Everything is great

Food quality doesn't seem to be as good lately. They had the best hamburgers I had ever eaten, real beef. But the last one I got I am almost sure it was a frozen patti. It could be they got some lower cuts of meat, I will try again to see.

Great place for an omelet. Super clean and really nice service. Recommend for a quick breakfast.
