Great Grandson's Meat & 3

I was so disappointed when grandsons closed almost all of their buffets. But luckily they opened up a couple of these smaller restaurants that are just as good, just not as much variety. I eaten at this one and another one several times and food is always delicious, piping hot and big portions for the price! I also love how they bake their mac and cheese, I get so tired of going to someplace that calls themselves a southern restaurant and their mac and cheese is this gloppy mess of macaroni and canned cheese. I highly recommend grandsons especially if you're in this area, they're really aren't any good food options other than this restaurant. Oh and it's super clean as well!

97 health grade and appeared very clean. The staff was very friendly and quick. The food was alright. We ordered a plate of fried chicken and a plate of barbecue chicken. Nothing special from preparation to taste. We will give it another try for dinner or if they introduce breakfast as advertised.

We've been missing the Grandson's restaurant that used to be on Ramsey St and were delighted to discover Great Grandson's Meat & 3. We weren't alone, the place had customers lined up in the street for the drive thru. We got the Saturday plate special of Stew Beef and rice, with fried okra, green beans and hushpuppies. It was delicious! The staff were friendly and smiling even while overwhelmed with the crowded rush. Our next visit we got fried chicken, slaw, baked beans and hushpuppies. Really delicious! Will become a repeat visit restaurant for us.

Plate #1 - BBQ, Mac&Cheese, and Okra Plate #2 - Fish and Shrimp, Collards, OkraPlate #3 - Fish and Shrimp, Collards, Butter BeansPlate #4 - BBQ and fried Dark Chicken, Okra, Collards * Hush puppies also came with each plateAND LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST - 1 Lbs Fried Gizzards The food is not over seasoned, yet nearly perfect. Three To-Go plates and half the gizzards left with us. The Customer Service was outstanding, we were treated with good southern charm. We watched as the cashier defuse a upset customer and had him laughing, smiling, and appeared to be happy on his way out the door. She stated to the man that someone had made an honest mistake and she wanted to ensure everything was made right. So refreshing!

Staff were not very friendly. Food was hot but tasteless. Hush puppies were the size of grapes, pork chop was deep fried to death .

Good home cooking and service with a smile! The stew beef and rice and the catfish plates are delicious!

Actually I wonder if there are children working there that absolutely don't care and have absolutely no respect nor work ethic. Not once have I gone there have they gotten my order right. Not the morning nor evening. Needless to say this is our last visit. Wrong food twice 40 minute drive back and forth twice. Not really an apology. And fyi:collards are supposed to be sweet
