Ambiance and Service: The restaurant boasts delicious food, attentive service, and some of the best craft cocktails in Houston. The owners' pride in their establishment shines through. They greeted us warmly while we ordered, offered must-try recommendations, and remained attentive throughout the meal.Must-Try Dishes: My favorites were the soup dumplings, and the perfectly seasoned fried cauliflower and tofu. These appetizers were crispy without being greasy, a delightful combination. For the main course, the sizzling steak was the star - incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. While the pineapple shrimp wasn't my favorite (due to my personal aversion to fruit in savory dishes), it might be perfect for someone who enjoys that sweet and savory combo.Cocktail Champion: The true highlight of the night was the cocktail menu. The dragon fire and ginger margarita were exceptional! They were so good, I'd happily return just for happy hour to enjoy these drinks and some appetizers

Truly don't understand the point of this place. It's very casual and serves bland dumplings at 3x the price of any other place! Even the ($28!!!) truffle dumplings were just okay. For lunch with no alcohol and just apps we paid $100 and left hungry. Service is friendly but slow and confused. Made multiple mistakes like bringing us another tables drinks. Won't return. Go to Trendy Dumpling or Chinatown instead!

We didn't realize how upscale Ginger & Fork is. Table for three walked in after attending a sports event and we were extremely underdressed. Since we didn't have a reservation, they let us sit at the bat, when a table was available, they allowed us to moved. Bartender was kind and understanding. The hostess was a little prickly, and the waiter didn't seem to know the menu too well. They had a really nice cocktail menu with creative concoctions. The reason for a lower three star score, is because the food is over priced for being just okay.

A highly impressive menu! G&F is a very fun vibe, super family friendly feel to it as well. They have excellent craft cocktails and plenty on the menu for everyone. The staff are fun and welcoming, highly recommend!

Mark, Mary, and their staff are essentially our second family as many others may attest to as well. The welcome and service is first class from beginning to finish. Cocktails are out of this world with the in house syrups and fresh ingredients prepped everyday beforehand. My wife and I are spoiled on the drinks. Selection of wine and alcohol is superb and the staff have great knowledge on what we are drinking. Our cocktail favorites are the Apple blossom (off menu), Purple raine (recently added from off the menu due to popularity), grasshopper (for desert), and second marriage. As for food, we always get mushroom fries (off menu), snow pea leaves (off menu), mixed mushrooms, soup dumplings (from NY), bone brittle flounder, and the sizzling filet mignon. Highly recommended with a great ambiance and memorable experience. Mary the owner is wonderful taking care of everyone that comes through the door. You won't be disappointed. Definitely try out their cocktails!

Absolutely incredible restaurant. The truffle dumplings were top of the top. The ginger margarita is my favorite cocktail. Loved all the noodle and fried rice options! Amazing service always!

Have you ever notice that you never see Chinese Fine dining? Meh you can say PF Chang but that's a franchise and it doesn't stand out for me. Ginger & Fork however is a true gem and my first experience with actual Cantonese Fine Dining!!! This restaurant is spacious, clean the service welcomes everyone with a warm greeting like they've been expecting you!! And yes!! It's a family owned business and they're all so awesome!! We've gone twice and I actually dream about their steamed dumplings!!! Oh so good!! And their craft cocktails are one to beat!! They're open to new ideas and they do their best to incorporate Cantonese flavors to enhance the flavors of your food! They're just brilliant!And the chef is super talented...so far we haven't tried a dish that we didn't like! Everything is full of rich flavors, savory and nothing but yummy deliciousness. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are stellar! Bottom line, this place is phenomenal! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The food is everything, some Cantonese classics and some twists, and for their prices it's 100% worth it! Be sure to make your reservations!! This place is getting popular and are booking fast!! Pro Top: If the online reservations are full, give them a call and see if they have any openings!!

4.5/5 Stars. I'm new to Houston, so I've made it my mission to try out all the good eats near my downtown residence; this place does not disappoint. The food is 5 stars. I've been to this place a few times, and the inconsistent service is the only reason I can't give it 5 stars. I'll update my review after a few more visits, if that changes. Bonus note: If you are Vegan or Vegetarian, or have loved ones that are, this is a good place to take them; they have several options, and can make almost any dish to meet those diet preferences. Food/drink I'd recommend:*Wonton Soup - YUMMY!*Egg Rolls - SO GOOD. *HK Pineapple Chicken - You'll want seconds, even full. Went here on a recommendation by a friend and we were so disappointed. The prices were outrageous for the portion & quality. Got the lunch pork and seafood specials which were good but portions were tiny. Even the vegetarian sides are $18. You're better off going to Qin Dynasty & HiTrendy Dumplings
