Ghee Indian Kitchen 8965 SW 72nd Pl., Miami, FL 331565 StarsI have tried to find the secret to how Michelin-starred and Michelin-recommended restaurants get picked, all to no avail. I have reviewed some outstanding places and some hellholes. Thankfully, Ghee Indian Kitchen falls into the first category. In fact, I would place Ghee Indian Restaurant right behind Bacan as the all-time greatest Michelin restaurant yet to be sampled by BBDO.Nicole is my server, and she is a real pro. They are playing some Deep Indian House Music that adds to the positive vibe of the place. It's not often that I can listen to trance, but this works. The shelves are packed with hundreds of spices--a true sight to behold.I asked Nicole for some Saag Paneer, Samosa Thali, and Mango Lassi. I relaxed in the inviting atmosphere, awaiting Nicole's return with my repast, and was totally lost in the vibe. My olfactory sense soon alerted me to Nicole's presence. Snapping the regulatory pictures of the victuals, I grabbed my tools of culinary destruction and proceeded to the job at hand--stuff...err, reviewing food for my reading public.I started my journey with a sample of their Saag Paneer. Saag Paneer is an extremely popular Indian vegetarian dish made of spinach and other leafy greens (saag) and paneer (Indian cottage cheese). This dish comes from the province of Punjab in Northern India. The greens are ground into a paste, seasoned with spices and fried paneer is added on top. One forkful in and I knew this was what it was supposed to taste like. It is smooth, creamy, bursting with flavor and the tofu is so fresh I wouldn't be surprised if they make it in the back (I checked, they don't).Next up was the Samosa Thali. As you can mix and match their Samosas in this dish, I asked for one Yukon potato, one paneer, and one chicken-stuffed Samosa. The outside was light, tasty and crunchy. The insides were filled to bursting with delicious delectables. Each one was better than the last, but that can't be, as they were all outstanding. This filled me with ineffable joy to consume. I wish I lived closer.Moving on to the Mango Lassi. For those not in the know, Lassi is a popular, traditional, yogurt-based drink from India. Indian Lassi is a blend of yogurt, water, spices and oftentimes, fruit. In this case, the fruit was Mango. This was so dang thick and creamy I had two before I could move on. I also ordered one to go. Yes, they are that good. The Big Boy says, "If you think our local Indian restaurants in Brevard County are great...well, I hate to burst your bubble, but they are the equivalent of an Indian McDonald's compared to Ghee Indian Kitchen in Miami."

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ghee, a Michelin-rated Bib Gourmand Indian restaurant in Miami. While the Bib Gourmand distinction isn't a Michelin star, it does signify good quality and value, so my companions and I were excited to see what this spot had to offer. We opted for the Tasting Menu, which came highly recommended, and we were eager to explore the array of flavors promised. To start, we ordered a couple of drinks. I chose the Indian Summer, which was light, refreshing, and a perfect way to begin the evening. I also tried the Mumbai Mule, which was another great choice, particularly for someone like me who enjoys a strong ginger flavor. The drinks here are mixed with soju or sake, so if you're expecting something with more alcohol content, you might need to adjust your expectations. However, both drinks were well-crafted and complemented the meal nicely. The Tasting Menu began with a selection of appetizers and snacks. The Yellowfin Tuna Bhel was a solid start, with spices that really stood out, earning it a 7/10 in my book. Next was the Green Papaya Salad, a nice change of pace that was surprisingly good for a dish not typically associated with Indian cuisine, which I rated a 7.5/10. The Burrata Chaat was one of my favorites; the combination of the creamy cheese with the chaat was a delightful mix, earning it an 8/10. The Green Millet was a surprise hit, especially since I'm not usually drawn to vegetarian dishes, but the flavor here was next level, deserving of a 9/10. The Lamb Scotch Egg was another standout, with its rich, savory taste and perfect presentation, also earning a 9/10. The Peri Peri Chicken Wings rounded out the appetizers, delivering a big hit of flavor with a decent level of spice. My girlfriend and her son liked them even more than I did, but I still found them to be very good, rating them an 8.5/10.Moving on to the main courses, we started with the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was the weakest dish of the evening. It was overly sweet and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting, so I rated it a 6/10. However, the Kerala Lamb Curry more than made up for it. This dish was absolutely sublime and easily the best lamb curry I've ever had, deserving of a 9.5/10. The Dal Makhni was a solid dish, with nothing particularly remarkable about it, but no significant flaws either, earning it a 7/10. The Turmeric Marinated Fish Curry was another strong dish. While the turmeric wasn't overpowering, which was a relief, the overall flavor was solid, so I gave it an 8/10. The Seed Naan was the final main course. I found it odd to consider naan as a main dish, and while it wasn't bad, it didn't stand out either, earning a 6/10. I would have preferred a more traditional garlic or butter naan.To finish the meal, we were served two desserts. The Sticky Date Cake with Ginger Ice Cream was absolutely mind-blowing. The texture and sweetness were spot on, and the combination of dates with ginger ice cream created a unique and potent flavor profile that truly delivered, making it one of the best desserts I've ever had at a restaurant, easily a 10/10. The Coconut Kheer with Seasonal Fruit, while decent, couldn't quite compare to the Sticky Date Cake. It was still enjoyable, but I rated it a 7/10.Overall, Ghee was a great experience, offering a taste of quality Indian food that lived up to its Bib Gourmand status. I also appreciated that, unlike many places in Miami, they didn't solicit us for reviews, which was a refreshing change. I would absolutely recommend Ghee to anyone looking to try something new, and I'll definitely be returning on my next trip to Miami to see what new dishes they have on the menu. A quick note for those driving: the restaurant is part of an innovative shared parking lot structure where you're directed to the closest spot for your destination, and you can get your ticket validated for free parking, which is a nice perk.

I was craving Indian food after being in Europe for a couple weeks so I decided to stop by Ghee for lunch as I had heard many good things about it. Overall, it was great! It wasn't too busy as it was a week day, so I was able to choose any table. The food was also super quick to come out. We were almost surprised at how quick. We tried the Tuna Bhel and Samosa Chaat for appetizers which were really yummy. For an entree, we got the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. This was also really good. Sometimes the chicken is curry dishes is kind of dry, but this one was perfectly cooked. The only thing I would say is that I wish everything was a little spicier. It was all pretty mild and the waitress didn't ask our preferred spice level like other restaurants, so I forgot to ask. The menu is pretty limited, which is a positive since we weren't overwhelmed with options. A great pick for some hearty Indian food!

I had been to Ghee several years ago for dinner but recently came for lunch and had a positive experience! We sat inside which offered a cozy environment. There weren't too many people so service was super quick. I'm a chaat fan so we ordered the samosa chaat and the tuna bhel for starters and the chicken tikka masala for a main. All the food was done really well, with many rich flavors. The menu is quite simple, but you can't really go wrong with anything. My boyfriend and I agreed that we would have liked the option to make the curry spicier as we weren't asked upon ordering and we both forgot to ask. We didn't order dessert this time, but in the past, I've ordered the sticky date cake which is amazing!

I went to Ghee over the past weekend to celebrate a birthday . I made a reservation which I recommend because they do close from 2:30-5. And they reopen at 5 pm again . They have outdoor seating and indoor seating that it also covered . The inside of the restaurant fits about 60 people . As soon as you open the door inside you are hit with, the aroma of spices and delicious scents . We were seated right away and we were attended by Genesis. She answered every question that we had . She was friendly and well attentive . I order the Ghee burger , we also ordered the tacos which were amazing and rice with lentils and garlic nann. We went during lunch , but the lunch menu is selective . However the dinner menu has more options , so I will definitely come back for dinner .

This was walking distance e from our hotel, and we'd walked past during the day, too I g the decorations outside. After confirming that it was indeed an Indian restaurant, we went back for dinner. We didn't make reservations, but upon walking in we were offered outside seating or seating g at the bar. We opted to sit outside. We were seated immediately and our server was prompt. He was welcoming and took the time to explain the menu as well as discuss how spicy the options were. We tried two cocktails and both were delicious. For starters we had the peri peri wings, and the Brie naan! Both were excellent. Note the Brie naan appetizer is really, really rich! We had chicken rolls masala and lamb korma with garlic naan, and ghee naan. Everything was very tasty. I was partial to the chicken. For dessert we had a peach lassi and chai misu (Ghee's take on a tiramisu) ... both were excellent as well. The interior of this restaurant is lovely, with vibrant colors and comfortable seating. Well worth the visit!

There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best Indian place in Miami! This place is taste FULL! I hope everyone gets what I mean. My pictures are all blurry... so I have to go back... (oh no!) Ok, time to get serious because this place is no joke. Everything on the menu is delicious. The beef korma: creamy and savory. If you're new to Indian food and don't want to go to crazy with the spices this is the dish for you. The beef korma is the epitome of comfort food and I highly recommend it to newbies and veterans alike. The Lamb kerala: this dish picks up a little of spice but nothing too crazy. This is comfort in a bowl. The Chicken Tikka Massala: the most basic dish you can order at an Indian restaurant next to the butter chicken (which they don't have). This is a solid plate. The lamb neck: oh the lamb neck. This dish is savory, spicy, and smoky. The flavors dance on your pallet like a well choreographed Bollywood movie. It's smooth and yet it somehow packs a punch without being aggressive. Lord have mercy get the lamb neck. The Naan: my favorite naan here is the ghost pepper cheddar naan. It is spicy so beware but it is also so so so good. It's now on the menu as a small plate but order it anyways and enjoy it with your meal or even with the apple chutney it comes with, both are delicious. The short rib dosa: hella of an appetizer but it's nothing crazy. Simple and delicious. The samosa chaat: this is the best samosa chaat I think I've ever had. It's got a lot of flavors. I think I could write this small plate 10 years worth of lover letters. The ambiance is slightly refined but for the most part very chill. Seriously if you're coming to Ghee you need to try the lamb neck, the beef korma, and anything else on the menu. I can guarantee you will have a good time here!

This restaurant is quaint and it has a nice vibe with the Indian decor. We didn't have a reservation so we had to sit at the bar. So I highly recommend a reservation for a Friday night as it got packed! The food was excellent and I have to say I'm not crazy about Indian Cuisine. I would definitely be back! Lots of items in the menu I would like to try. Great job miami for this cool restaurant!
