(smile) I'm not really a fan of cheesecake, it's alright, I'd much rather have a slice of Chocolate cake...however, I do believe in supporting small businesses. After a long day I finally settled down and decided to try the delicately handcrafted Strawberry Cheesecake, it was wonderful! Great flavor, not overly rich, excellent coloring, tasty crust, sweet delicate strawberry glaze, and topped with fresh strawberries. Now I know what all the fuss is about, I can see his desserts in a quaint bakery in the heart of Midtown, on Peachtree Street, of course. Gerald boasts his desserts are made from scratch and with the finest ingredient, and it's true. Don't just take my word for it, go to the website for a list of all his decadent cheesecake desserts, I'll name a few for you: Sweet Potato cheesecake, Banana Foster, Keylime, Praline Pecan, Red Velvet, Chocolate Chip, Pineapple Strawberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Lemon, Caramel Apple, Upside Down Pineapple, Turtle, Oreo, Butterfinger and plenty more. Gerald also offers desserts made with Splenda, no shipping or delivery charge for local Atlanta metro area inside the Perimeter, there's a small delivery charge for orders outside the Perimeter. So the next time you are planning a birthday party, wedding, house warming, an art show, grand opening, whatever the occasion, Gerald's Heavenly Cheesecakes are Heaven Sent, so be sure to order a few, store bought won't do! As soon as I devour my luscious Strawberry cheesecake, ummm, what should I sample next....perhaps the Pineapple Upside Down cheesecake, doesn't' that sound divine, who's counting calories anyway?

We were having our parents over Labor Day for a BBQ and to see the house for the first time. Needless to say, we wanted everything to go as well as possible. The house got rave reviews, but the Gerald's Peaches & Cream Cheesecake we had for dessert is still being talked about! Ordering was super easy, delivery at the house was very convenient, and, as a lay cheesecake connoisseur, it might have been the best cheesecake I've ever tasted. Highly highly recommended.

For my birthday I order the Mojito cake and it was great. The service was good and the cake was moist. The owner even dropped it off at my office himself. Now, that's service. Now, the holiday season is coming on I will order my Thanksgiving and Christmas cakes and pies from him too.

Today I had a slice of Gerald's White Chocolate cake which was absolutely delish!!! Moist, soft, light, not too sweet and sugary and melted in my mouth..literally. I cannot brag enough about Geralds confections, and I've have just about all that he makes...his cakes taste good! From his specialty cheesecakes to his red velvet and white chocolate cake, my mouth has always been left watering and I have had to use all the will power I have, not to over do it and have another very thick slice... ;-) All in all, I'd recommend Gerald's Heavenly Desserts to anyone and have already done so with all that I know. Keep up the good work Gerald!

Purchased the New York and the Peach cobbler cheesecakes for a business event. Both were delicious and everyone took slices home. Gerald was so accommodating when I had to change up the delivery option. Will definitely buy desse again.

Bad management no people skills bad website doesn't treat people nicely website does not give location of business

I am sorry to leave a negative review in the midst of all the positives, but I had a terrible experience with this company, concerning their customer service and shipping.I ordered a cake to be shipped to my mom for her birthday. The cake arrived with NO ICE and NO ANYTHING that would preserve it for the four days in transit during warm summer days. They literally put the cake box into a shipping box and that's it! The cake arrived completely smashed, and smelling very sour.I took pictures and emailed them to Gerald's, and interestingly they blamed it on FedEx! They said shipping had been delayed, that they had sent me an email informing me of the delay (they never sent me any such email! ) and that it wasn't their fault. I asked them to send another cake.When my mom opened the 2nd cake, (which took the same number of days as the first shipment...hmmmm...) there was dry ice this time, but it was laying loose everywhere inside, and even on top of the cake! When I contacted them again, they claimed that they had wrapped the dry ice in plastic. Well, not a shred of plastic was in this box! Either they are overworked and tired...or just can't admit a mistake? My guess is the latter!I asked for my money back, and never did get a response. During all of this, my communication was always polite, I always gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it seems they blamed everyone else, claimed they didn't make any mistakes, and never even apologized! In the end I am out $95 for the cake and shipping. I guess according to reviews, the cakes are delicious, but their manners, shipping and service leave much to be desired! Please beware if ordering a cake to be shipped!

My sister and I ordered 4 Pineapple Upside Down Cakes from Gerald's Heavenly Deserts in Atlanta for my 70th birthday held in Providence RI. Gerald's shipped the cakes and they arrived in perfect condition. They were moist, pretty to look at, absolutely delicious and my 70 guest loved them!!! I'll order again from this company for sure. The cakes brought back memories of my mother baking this cake. It was my childhood favorite. Thank you!!

We saw the picture of the Candy Explosion cheesecake on here and had to try it because it looked so good. My daughter chose cheesecake for her birthday cake instead of a regular cake so it worked out great! The cheesecake looked exactly like the picture and the cheesecake was so delicious, creamy, not dense at all, rich, and flavorful. The candy on top had the kids bouncing off the wall. We also loved that the cheesecake was delivered to where we had the party. We will definitely be using you again.

I purchased a $50 gift certificate at a charity fundraiser event in Feb '13 for Gerald's Heavenly Desserts. I called (Aug '13) to redeem the certificate. The first thing the owner asked was when the certificate expired and I told him May 1, 2013 (I didn't realize I only had 2 months to use it). He explained it was expired and would not honor it. He was generally rude and clearly not interested in honoring his commitment to his community. He would not even honor the price I paid for the certificate. I do not make the habit of trying to use expired coupons, certificates or discounts but I purchased this certificate in order to raise money for the community in which I live and I can't believe a small business would not honor such a donation made to a not for profit. It just seems disloyal to me (expiration date aside). Why would any business (large or small) pass up the opportunity to broaden potential future sales at the expense of $50? While the cakes may be heavenly, I will never know since his approach to clients is anything but.
