The patio area was nice, even though it was a bit chilly outside it felt super warm in the inside. There were three things to choose from: all you can eat breakfast buffet, salmon, or shrimp and grits I believe. The breakfast buffet was okay, the French toast tasted like the middle school cafeteria french toast sticks and the fruit was barely sweet. We ordered a bottle of champagne for mimosas, and they ran out the second round. The service was pretty good though despite the more traffic that came in. 7.5/10 overall

I came here on a date. We sat outside in their string light lit back porch. It was comfortable and felt familiar. I had the Szechuan fried chicken and fried rice, which was tasty, colorful, and savory. I like the addition of pea shoots, and the portion size was large. The Ruben was good but not remarkable. The service was appropriate, but as soon as you feel there is a delay, food would come.I definitely plan on coming back! The location is superb.

Though several popular Durham spots were closed for MLK Day, it was business as usual at Geer Street Garden, which was warm and bustling when my roommate and I stopped by for lunch. Right away, the restaurant's brick exterior evokes a feeling of comfort and home. This was only enhanced by the outdoor dining setup, a long, Hogwarts-esque dining table where various pairs and groups sit. Our waiter plopped down next to my roommate and chatted with us as he took our order. It was like a conversation with a quirky uncle. I ordered an arugula salad off the specials menu. My roommate got the Korean fried chicken, served atop a bed of rice. They were accommodating of modifications and allergies and checked in often to make sure we were enjoying our meals (we were). Our consensus: the food was good, but the service and overall experience were what made Geer Street a standout.

BEWARE!!!This place is dog friendly. I came here for dinner with my coworkers and was not aware that dogs were welcomed.I get it people like dogs, but they should not be allowed EVERYWHERE!!! Who wants to eat while a dog is shaking God knows what in the air by my salad. The waiter put a dog bowl on the ground and I am certain they are not washing their hands. A dog vomited while I was eating and ruined my experience. They just poured water and swept it up. What in the fuckery is this?Animals and food do not mesh. Keep that shit at home if that's what you are into....I am shouting from the roof tops stay away unless you like extra seasoning in your food.

We came here after finding out the Durham Food Hall was closed on Mondays. So glad we decided to come here. Today's special with raviolis and jalapeño and cheddar hush puppies were great. I've been here for brunch and wasn't super impressed. We may have to give it another try.

Hosted my sisters graduation dinner in their outdoor patio and it was such a lovely time. Food was good and they did their best to make the evening a fun one for us. Would recommend!

Food tried too hard. Over spiced, overly elaborate, way over priced. We visited during "Chinese Week". Wontons were soggy, too salty. Should stick to a simple bar menu.Staff was really sweet though and the atmosphere would have been great for a college night out.

Beautiful location, great drinks, and most of the food was good. Service and kitchen were very slow as they were understaffed for a Monday pre holiday, which I can understand. However please do not offer my husband the tiniest wings we have ever seen and then immediately remove them from the table when we say something and bring the check before asking if there is anything else you can do. Unprofessional, and this is coming from 2 service industry members.
