Wow, what a delight! Wonderful Old World ambience, friendly and efficient staff, and excellent comfort food! We got the Arancini rice and ground beef crispy fried balls, which were hot, crispy, and with an excellent dipping sauce...the Greek salad, which was a deal at $7 with a really flavorful Italian house made dressing...spinach calzone, which was twice the size of calzones from other area restaurants and oozing with tons of cheese...and the chicken piccata, which had lots of rich lemony sauce and lemon infused tender chicken breast and capers. We finished with a heap of takeout leftovers, and also took home their huge, rich cannoli (both regular and pistachio), their raspberry tiramisu, and their giant profiterole. All prices were reasonable, portions huge, flavors rich and on point. Our new go to Italian place!

The food and pastries that chef Gaspare makes are both delectable and something magical. Regretfully, Gallo is temporarily closed for renovations, but we're anxious to see the new floor plan and layout. The service is great and I can only imagine that the changes being made will magnify the excellence in service as well. If I could give a 100 star review I would.

Our first visit, but not our last. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The veal piccata was delicious and the clams linguine was even better. Unfortunately, they're closing for remodeling for the next 6-8 weeks and I can't wait for the reopening.

To the owner. No thank you. Why didn't someone come out to discuss the horrible food when I returned it to the kitchen. It's on you not me. I'm the customer. Horrible food...who puts canned peas in bolognese? The sauce was so sour I couldn't eat it and returned it back to the kitchen. No one cared since no one followed up. Server was rushed and never followed up. Realized later that they not only put canned peas in the sauce, but they put in the canned pea water too. Totally disgusting! Another observation....Has anyone else noticed the dirty pastry cases?

We were greeted at the door by several employees and felt very welcomed. Maria was our waitress. She was very kind and helpful. She checked on us several times during the meal. A few other waitstaff and the hostess checked on us throughout the meal as well. The bruschetta was large and tasty. The arancini was crisp, hot and had good flavor. The raspberry twist was burnt at one end but tasted fine. It would have been better with more raspberry filling. The raspberry tiramisu is always an amazing dessert. We will continue coming here for our Italian food, especially after going to Italy last month and missing the good food there. I highly recommend this restaurant.
