Busy little place that smells absolutely delicious. Currently only doing takeout orders because of covid-19 but clearly have a following from the locals. Coming from houston, the prices seem a little high, $13.0 for a plate of half chicken and two sides, but on the other hand, they gotta make money and it does smell awesome, so it could be justifiable.They are fast, there were 3 people ahead of us and they got their food within a few minutes, so service is speedy.The lady behind the counter is super sweet and answered all my questions. They have okra which obviously ups any of my reviews everywhere, so thAt is definitely a plus. And I can't wait to try the potato salad, I heard another customer tell her husband it's good. I think ordering chicken might be delaying our order, my bad. People who have come in after us are Already on their way out, no worries, it's just a slight delay.They have some awesome signs hanging on the walls, can't help but be entertained while you wait. Good music too. I'll finish my review after we get our food.They do catering as well, and from the look of it, I'd say that is our current hold up. Apparently most people call their orders in ahead of time. The food was fantastic and plentiful. Great smoky flavor on the sliced brisket and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Sometimes you have to worry about smoked or grilled chicken not being done, not this time, it was delicious.. potato salad was great, definitely homemade mustard potato salad. Fried okra was good and crispy and hot. Everything was on spot. Worth the money and the little bit of wait that we had. I forgot to take pictures of the food, but that only gives me a reason to go back next time I am in Cold spring. I am definitely going to recommend this place to the campers out here at double springs recreation center. We were going to drive into Livingston for a different barbecue spot that we knew was good, but we gave this place a try and very glad we did..

Update: They still got it! Mmmmm BBQ!!Best food I've found in Coldspring! Super friendly clean dining area with flavor flavor flavor! Haven't had anything that didn't taste better than expected. This place would have a line and sold out by dinner time if they where in town so I'm happy to have found them!

The best ribs I've found within a 100 mile radius. The chopped beef with onions and pickles is the best. They even toasted the bun . JustGive it a try!

Delicious BBQ if you find yourself in or around Coldspring, (if you live near here, then you already know about it!). This place is a total dive with great BBQ. Lisa, who took over when her dad retired about five years ago, is a true pitmaster.My sliced beef sandwich was overstuffed with succulent brisket so tender that the lady who served it had to use a spatula to put it on the bun. The bun was hot, which added to the overall deliciousness. The sauce is a semi-sweet, tomato-based version with a little kick to it - very good, and a perfect compliment to the BBQ. (I mixed 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sauce for the second half of my sandwich, converting it to a delectable mess).The sausage was pretty good. The casing had a perfect "snap" to it, and the flavor was nice and rich. "Grind" is a matter of personal preference: Those who prefer fine ground meat will especially enjoy this sausage.The burgers are supposed to be good, also, and rumor has it that Lisa will cook yours on the pit if she isn't too busy (I will definitely be calling ahead to request this next time).The ladies up front, Shelby and Theresa, were very pleasant and accommodating.Remember, this place is a dive. The poor little A/C unit has seen better days, but still somehow manages to offset the scorching summer temperature. CAUTION: Be careful entering and exiting the "one-size-fits-one" restroom, as there is an inexplicable hump of concrete you'll have to negotiate. One bit of advice: Other than for hand-washing, non-gymnast adults should plan to use a restroom elsewhere before or after getting their BBQ fix. Anyone other than small children - or guys who remain standing - will have to ride sidesaddle!

The best burger in Coldspring! They also have good BBQ. I would recommend getting it to go, as they do not have a large dining area.

We were camping near by and decided to give this mom & pop place a try. Food was great, back home ambiance with lots of cool reads on the walls. Folks here were super friendly. When we're back in the area we'll definitely stop in again.

Wonderful food stop, one of the best burgers I've had in a while! Lisa provided delightful service and recommendations. If you're hungry and swinging through town, give it a shot.

Popped in for BBQ whilst driving through Coldspring, TX. Great solid BBQ. Great aromas. Great tastes! Friendly staff! No problem coming back!!

This place is absolutely amazing! They are so friendly and welcoming and the food is just off the chain! Large servings as well- it's just a great place!
