From The Ashes

This is by far the best hidden gem in Smithfield! It's overlooked a lot because it's at the Outlet, but to me, it's one of the best locations: Plenty of parking and you can walk off the most amazing meal! We stopped in after some Saturday errands and ordered the Saturday Special: The Pork Skin Mess. It came with pork skins, Mac, Nacho Cheese, Baked beans, Bbq, Slaw, and their special sweet sauce...we also added jalapeños. It was such a fun twist on nachos. You seriously can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The restaurant is spacious and clean and the staff is super friendly and you feel like family. Make sure to follow them on social media to see their daily specials and new menu creations!

Great food everyone was nice and very helpful. We ate in everything was clean the condiments area was neat and fresh. They had great sauces.

Food was good, service seemed chaotic and unorganized which at the time I was the only customer ordering take out for my family. The three employees on duty didn't inspire any confidence.

So good. Got bbq sandwich with collard greeens. Delish. Directions in yelp are offf. Next to Auntie Anne's.

It was on point. I must say the collards are off the hook with pertect seasoning, which is hard to find sometimes. Also there Cornbread was very good and the reminded me of a cupcake. Service was outstanding as well, very family friendly! I will be going back soon.

Had the chicken tenders with Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was chessie and delicious! The tenders were perfect. Will be coming back to try more of the menu.

Best Brisket Ever. Period. Generous portions served up with a welcoming, friendly approach to customer service. Highly recommended.

Mediocre at best. We arrived on a Friday at 6pm. The restaurant itself is in the outlet center strip mall and just looks a little worn down. We both got pulled pork sandwiches with a mac and cheese side and also each ordered one of the oversized corn muffins but only drank the free water because we're not Pepsi fans. Our total was $36.09. As we were sitting waiting for our order, we saw someone else receive their order and they had a huge portion of French fries on their tray. When we ordered we did not see French fries on the menu so settled for the mac and cheese. We asked the cashier what was up and she just said yeah they are not on the menu....WTH? Makes no sense. It was too late to change our order. It didn't take long to get our order, maybe 10 minutes after ordering. The pork on the sandwich had no smoke flavor and tasted overcooked and dried out. The bun was nice and fresh though. Also did not like the corn muffins because you just picked it up and it literally fell apart into tiny pieces on our tray, plus I hate actual corn kernels in my cornbread. We were sad to have wasted our money here.

Great family owned business! Friendly staff! Food is fantastic! It smells amazing from the moment you step in the door. It is located in the Carolina Pottery Outlets, so get your belly full & do some shopping!!
