I really don't understand the bad reviews for this place. I consider myself a regular since I live in the neighborhood, it is my go to for a quick bite, drink or any necessities I need to grab. The staff is always very pleasant and attentive.

My son is moving into this neighborhood and we stopped in for lunch and to check out the market. We had a great meal- avocado toast I would definitely get that again. It had lots of avocado that was well seasoned with lemon. The service was attentive and you can sit inside or outside. The market has a good selection. My son will be going here regularly!

Friends is a restaurant that many of my coworkers have been going to for over a year out of sheer convenience of the distance to our job site. We have given them a TON of business. I say this as everything from their food, to their service has been terrible to say the least. They have had on multiple occasions kicked out paying AND tipping customers because they had ordered something at the counter instead of from the main menu with a waitress (we only get 30 mins for lunch) and wanted to sit down to eat the food they just purchased at this very restaurant. Even at times where we are off work and have the time to wait for their INCREDIBLY slow service (45+ min wait for simple orders) we were treated very poorly and asked to give up our seats for "real paying customers" even though we always pay and tip. It seems that they think just because of what we and other hard working people are wearing (our uniforms) are offensive to their aesthetic and ambiance. It is discriminatory to deny service to a group of paying customers for no reason other than the fact that you want a different type of clientele to be seen in your restaurant, if I can even call it that it's more of a quick cafe. In terms of the food, I have had their empanadas which are over cooked, dry and barely have any flavor. I've had Berry smoothies that have had blended plastic wrap in them, and multiple other items of food with melted plastic. To top it all off, they even posted in a community group for Brickell about us and how we eat our bagged brown paper bag lunches in their establishment, when they are the ones who serve their dry empanadas in a brown paper bag or any other baked good to begin with. None of us would ever bring food from home to a restaurant because that's just disrespectful and rude, not unlike the way we were treated every time we went there. TLDR: The food is awful and they should be receiving a health code violation for the melted plastic ingested by their paying customers. You would think having a restaurant in Miami would mean you would know how to properly make an empanada. The waitstaff are rude and have kicked me and others out multiple times despite purchasing food and drink from the restaurant. They are classist and discriminatory towards hard working and paying customers. Do not go here, you will regret having even tried them.

We googled restaurants near Loan Depot Park and found Friends Market & Bistro. It's Venezuelan food with seating inside and outside. There's also a market on one side. It's a large menu with breakfast items, pasta dishes, pizza, and sandwiches. We tried the ham and cheese cachapa, patacon with shredded beef, chicken wings, and deluxe burger. Everything was delicious. Patricia was friendly and helpful. We're glad we tried Friends.

Stopped in on Thursday morning for breakfast before headed into the office for a meeting. Servers and staff were so very nice - I would put them up against any staff in the Brickell area. The atmosphere is so laid back and easy going you'll find it refreshing. indoor and Shaded outdoor seating. You have to stop in here if your in the area. Just SW of the Brickell Loop 5th ave stop.

Servicio horrible! Desde que entramos nadie nos quería antender ! Llegó una mesera que se llama Martina sin presentarse a la mesa!! Solo preguntado q íbamos a ordenar, después de eso se fue a la barra hablar con su compañera Lisandra sin ni siquiera dejar agua! Cuando pedí por agua amablemente ella me miró horrible y tiró de mala gana la botella de agua en la mesa sin musiquita rellenarme mi vaso! Cosa que me pareció de muy mal gusto. Después de eso vino y me tiró una arepa reina peopiada en la mesa cómo q fuera para un mendigo pensando cómo q yo no estaba pagando por un servicio de atención, seguido de eso el waffle de mi pareja nunca llegó a la mesa!!! Hasta después de 1 hora y el restaurante vacío !!! REALMENTE QUIERES UN SERVICIO ASÍ ????
