French Quarter Cajun Seafood

I had the crawfish etouffee.This is one of the better Cajun restaurants I've been to in Houston. The prices are more reasonable than Pappadeaux, and the quality of the food is good - I've got no complaints.The restaurant was relatively quiet, though that may have been due to the time of day. I haven't been there at night, so I don't know how it is then.Will definitely be going back.

Barbi and I love to French, we do it all the time. We sometimes French when we come to French Quarter. Okay, we only came twice so far and both times were with family and neither time did we French (or maybe I'm just forgetting). But we do like it.There are some things on the menu that I don't like, and then there's some that are amazing such as the rice with red beans and the spicy sausage. We're lucky that the people we go here with - mostly blood related to Barbi - let us try their food in return for some of ours, so I've tried plenty of things.But I do think that the portions are too small and the prices are a bit high which is the only reason I gave four instead of five stars. Plus I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to enjoying New Orleans food. If this were in New Orleans, I wouldn't give 4. By Houston standards, it's a 4 or 5.

Well just got my ass chewed out by bar staff! Asked on how to contact Janice since I've been coming here for years- was told try my luck leaving a poor review here.... Because it's my only way to contact owner. (Suggested by manager) so I am. Well, don't ask about the temp of the restaurant because you get treated as if a third eye developed on your face. Second time eating here and it's damn cold in here. Cozy is not a word I would use. I mentioned it again this visit and got a crappy answer- "78 in here" -I hate people that lie to your face! So I took pic of setting- it's 63!! There used to be a time that paying customers could mention things like temp of restaurant without being treated like crap.

Short review: Win-win for Mothers Day.Ambiance: We ventured out to fight the crowds during Mothers Day today at this location. Everywhere was going to be on the crowded side. But in spite of some of the rubbing elbows with another table of families, with everyone in good moods it felt very drama-free. No it wasn't going to be a quiet Sunday dinner with no one around and this location is on the cramped side because of its space. They have rearranged since the last time we were here (same holiday as before) and that helped a lot.Service: We had to add a last minute +2 over our original reservation number, but the staff were able to squeeze everyone in despite having a full dining room with waiting customers at the door. I recommend the reservations. Drinks were dispatched quickly and topped off often. The staff were at full steam getting everyone accommodated and was operating like a well oiled machine. If there was harried servers and staff, it was not noticeable. Nothing but sincere and professional smiles and accommodations from all.Food: I was weary of a buffet, but being the day it was, this was the only solution. Once we went through the service line though, I saw the selection (plenty to choose from, appetizers to dessert) and the quality, and was impressed. Nothing was being left to run low and the food prep staff was keeping the serving area neat and tidy. I tried a little bit of most of what was being served and was quite satisfied with the overall quality, variety, and availability. The number and variety of desserts was equally satisfying with something for most everyone (the key lime pie shooters were especially dangerously delicious and I'm glad the portions were small for that.) Despite the crowds and waiting customers, at no time were we rushed to finish or gather up and leave. We were able to enjoy our family time as if it were our own home. So big thank-yours to the staff here today, from bussing staff up, everyone was on their A-game.

This place was pretty good! Customer service was efficient and the food came out quick. I really enjoyed my pasta!

The food was delicious!! The fried catfish was not slimy at all unlike other places. The catfish was nice and crispy on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside. The stuffed shrimp was my favorite thing in the menu that came with my fried combo. Their drinks where good, the hurricane was a bit weak in alcohol but the margarita was perfect.

My visit to Felix's seafood restaurant was simply amazing. The gentleman who greeted us, I think his name was Ty Green. To say he was cordial & professional would be an understatement. Simply put, he has to be one of the best in the business. He along with the incredibly delicious food will cause us to return everything we're in New Orleans.

Ordered the stuffed catfish vermillion the fish was extremely mushy and the rice was cold and hard I noticed the hostess asked everyone who was of a race other than mine how their meal was but didn't even glance in my area and today is my birthday so it really sucked I will not be coming back here again I don't recommend this place to anyone

Customer service was good until Megan butted into a conversation not including her and decided to fight with us. She needs to learn manners, you bus tables MEGAN!!!!!!., Megan you need customer service training stat. Why do yall employ her in a people facing role. She ruined the night. I would never return again. I can't even say now food was good cause she made me want to vomit after the poor treatment and the rudeness. French Quarter she is NOT A People person you want in the service industry! I am sure yall will do nothing, but seriously people like her will kill a business. And yall weren't that busy tonight, must be cause she was on deck!

The Cajun food here has always been exceptional and now they have added some American fare as well. Service is always friendly but my favorite server is Yvette & I always ask for a booth in her section. I like a nice, quiet, peaceful lunch so I tend to go around 1:00 .
