We absolutely loved everything about our meal except for the price tag. The place is quaint but elegant. The staff, every member of the staff, was friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. We were surprised by the eclectic menu given the name of the restaurant, so we ran with it and tried some various items. We started with their French onion soup, followed by a niçoice salad. The soup was lovely, with a very nice onion flavor. The salad, which I ordered hesitantly because I typically don't like salad niçoice, was wonderful. I liked their take on the salad because it was seared tuna instead of of oil packed tuna. Entrees were the seafood pasta and lamb chops. Both were delicious. We asked for more crostini for the pasta, and they delivered beautiful mini garlic crostini. We loved the first few courses, and ordered desserts. While we waited, the chef gifted us some mini chocolate eclairs which were perfect. Then our crème brulee and a mille-feuille arrived. I was not a fan of the salt on my crème brulee. I found it to be overpowering, and they didn't quite have enough sugar on top to create that satisfying crack in the crème brulee. The Mille-feuille had a crispy pastry and the filling was just the right amount of sweet, but the passion fruit puree was too tart. Dessert was the worst part of our meal, but it was still good, just not as great as the rest. We recommend French 75 and will return.
