Lovely time, beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. Wasn't a huge fan of the wines.

This was an amazing find. Jim met us and guided us on to the property (the regular road was closed). He was so accommodating and gave us recommendations for our next destination Louisiana. The RV site was next to the bayou and within walking distance to the Gulf coast. There's a little restaurant / bar down the road where you can get a quick bite. Everyone is very friendly. It's a very quaint and calming environment. FYI, there are a lot of dogs 1/2 in the yards and 1/2 out enjoying their home. We have a Jack Russell Terrier, a puppy but he thinks he's a German Shepherd so you know how well that went. We highly recommend Jim's Frascone Winery.

If you want to get away from everything, come here. We are staying at the winery now and I can't even express through words how awesome it is. Jim is incredible and has so many amazing life stories to tell. We felt super welcomed when we arrived. The wine tasting is a great way to try the delicious wines and the homemade alligator egg rolls are amazing!!! If you like spicy, try the Devils Breath. Soooo good. The Cranberry, Grapefruit and Elderberry wines are great too. The chocolate wine paired with ice cream is pretty incredible. So many great fruit wines and a lot of flavors of Meade wine. They also have dry whites and reds. Bubbly wines when available. The neighbors are all incredibly gracious and welcoming, all with their own stories to tell about the history of this small community. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance. We ate at Channel Marker 17 last night. It's a dimly lit friendly little local fishing village bar inside. The outdoor seating on the water is great for families. Good burgers and seafood in a very laid back atmosphere. Think Key West. A little playground within walking distance for kids and a couple of fishing piers and boat launces. If you want to reset, relax, slow down and be around some pretty amazing people, good wine and a real local vibe, don't miss this spot!! We don't want to leave!!!

We tripped across this wonderfully charming place while driving through the Bolivar Peninsula. We stopped in for a flight of wine and were pleasantly surprised to find that they also had some nibbles. There were 4 of us in our party. We tried the red flight and a mixture of whites. All in all we were very happy with the wines. We bought the Cabernet and our friends bought the Black Spanish. We also had some appy's. Shrimp and fries, fried dumplings and the Alligator egg rolls. Yummy. They hold many festivals across the street. The next one is in September, https://www.texasgatorfest.com/, check it out.

Our Son & Nephew took us to Frascone Winery while we were heading to the Anahuac Wildlife Park, and we were pleasantly surprised. The family that owns the winery were very friendly and they had a nice variety of wines & meads which my son is a big fan of. They had alligator egg rolls on the menu that we just had to try, which were very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, bought a couple of bottles of wine and mead, then drove over to the Anahuac Wildlife park and saw many alligators especially young ones while driving through the park. Sorry I didn't take any of the winery but took many alligator pics. I highly recommend that you stop by for a visit and a tasting.
