Service was good and food was delicious. It was quiet and outdoor seating is beautiful

I am staying at the hotel and didn't feel like leaving for dinner. So, o walked down through the beautiful lobby to grab some dinner to take to my room. I ordered an extra dirty martini and he made it extra dry. He realized it when I asked for the olives. He then made me another drink. I preserved the steak with Mac and cheese and seasoned veggies. The steak was supposed to be rare. It was medium well. I was too tired to complain when I got up to my room. There was a mushroom sauce on it which had a good flavor. Steak was very average and so overcooked. Steamed veggies were broccolini and carrots. I thought these were delicious. The Mac and cheese was good but not great. All in all, not worth $50. The restaurant is very bright and not very intimate compared to the rest of the hotel.

The food we ordered was very good but several things on the menu are not available. Our server made up for the slim menu choices. Nice atmosphere for casual or formal dining.

As a platinum Marriott Bonvoy member I do breakfasts at many of the Marriott hotels but this one in particular has the worst breakfast hostess and wait staff. They are rude and don't seem to understand what good service looks like. The food itself is great though.Back here this morning and more of the same.... Been waiting 30 mins for someone to take our drink order.... This is crazy. The folks that were seated before us just gave up and walked out.This restaurant is only at half capacity. The hostess is not meeting people at the front and instead yelling at them across the dining room to come over. Also they add a 20% service charge on the tab automatically here..... to me this is probably the reason for bad service.... There is no incentive to do well b/c the tip is already in the bill.

I did not expect much considering it was the restaurant in the hotel but it was surprising delicious. The server was fantastic. She was fast and friendly. The food was really good. The kids said it was the best chicken fingers they ever had.

Came to check out the venue since I reserved a few faculty members to dine here the following Monday. I ordered the State View Red Bread Pudding ($12), which is very dense and tastes nothing like bread pudding, and the Mrs. Wuf's Favorite Color ($11) which didn't impress me at all.The staff it's very nice and the bartender was very knowledgeable about the drunk menu. The ambience is fantastic!

This is a restaurant off the beaten path and tsucked into the autograph collection Marriott property at NC StateIt has only been open a couple of months and still going through it's growing pains of training the kitchen as well as the waitstaff and trying to figure out the amount of food for the size of the crowd on any given dayThe menu is science lab themed with the cocktails coming out with a chemistry oriented approach, while the wine is served in beakersWe have eaten here on number of times and enjoyed the appetizers salads as well as the featured main courses We have always had a good overall experience but sometimes the timing of the kitchen between courses can be off just a little bitVery much looking forward to enjoying the space as the weather changes in the restaurant opens up to the outdoor spaces

This is the restaurant inside the State View hotel, a Marriott at NC State campus.I didn't expect much from how bright the lights inside were (think cafeteria, bright) and the fake red and white flowers stuck into rocks inside beakers on the table (please do away with those - so tacky) but the service and food were great.Our waitress, Alyssa, was friendly and attentive. The food really was delicious.We had the beer cheese soup (yum - highly recommended), the zucchini chips (pretty much fried zucchini, served with a great fig jam and ranch dressing), nachos and the burger. Definitely get their fries - also amazingly yummy.They serve beer, wine and liquor. They have a cocktail menu with clever drinks and clever names to go with but I stuck to a dirty martini (classic, delicious). The drinks are perhaps high priced for the location - cocktails could probably due with $1-$2 taken off the price since $12-$14 each is what I'd expect in a bigger city - but I don't see them lowering prices. They serve NC State brewed beer as well.While I wouldn't say the ambience would bring me back the food and service might. If you're staying at the hotel definitely give it a try!

I live at the apartment complex down the road from here and have enjoyed strolling over on summer evenings to enjoy a drink and sunset. While the food is mediocre and overpriced, I love their patio and enjoying the weather while sipping on something refreshing. I love the academic theme as well. They also serve howling cow ice cream!

Food was good. I had a cheddar burger that was cooked to medium like I requested. The steak fries that came with the burger were also good. Everything was hot and fresh. But what was really outstanding was the service by the bartender Jayona(I got the name off the check so I hope it is correct.) She saw I was uncomfortable where I was sitting and offered to move me further away from the bar into what they call the "library", a business center with comfy couches. She made her job more difficult in order to accommodate me. She also brought over a damp napkin to get all the burger juice of my hands. Excellent service.
