Fish N Grits

My sister and I were craving a delicious fish dinner, so we decided to check out Fish N Grits. After passing by a couple of times, we felt today was the perfect day to indulge. Upon entering, we noticed the cozy size of the restaurant, with just a few tables for seating. Despite the small space, the atmosphere was welcoming and not overly crowded.The owner greeted us warmly, making us feel like part of the family from the moment we stepped in. Their hospitality was truly remarkable. Although the menu wasn't extensive, it offered straightforward options that appealed to us. We inquired about their most popular dishes and placed our order while engaging in pleasant conversation with the owner.During a brief trip to the restroom, I was impressed by its cleanliness and maintenance, reflecting the overall tidiness of the restaurant. Upon returning to our table, I found our food already prepared, a testament to their efficiency and commitment to serving fresh meals promptly.While I appreciated the prompt service and warm ambiance, I couldn't help but notice that the food was overly salty. This detracted from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. Despite this setback, I would still recommend giving Fish N Grits a try, primarily for their exceptional hospitality. With some adjustments to the seasoning, I believe this place has the potential to become a favorite spot for seafood enthusiasts like us. I look forward to returning in the future to see how they've refined their dishes.

I wasn't to pleased with the fried chicken and the fried shrimp. The batter on the shrimp was to crunchy for me and the fried chicken wasn't fully cooked the way I liked it to be, it should have cooked for a few minutes longer but I still love this place. It's very pricey but everywhere is expensive now. I probably will stick to my fried salmon and grits from now on though.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My husband waited for almost an hour for normal food that was on the menu, he finally got his food, but I decided to order some French toast and why did I do that, 35 mins later still no food. I ask what was the hold up, and the owner says I'm sorry it's coming we don't have anyone because no one wants to work.... A lady from the back came out and said you don't have to explain that to them. WHAT THE WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!I went off... (my husband came back in) and was like this is over some $5 French toast (no, it's about what she said) He's like you gonna eat it after going off like that.. Nope they can keep the $5 and the French Toast. NEVER EVER GOING BACK AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LIFE OR ANYTHING ELSE TO DO WITH THE REST OF YOUR DAY THEN.. Go ahead. Oh BTW the food that we got I could have done better at home. Dang trying to support black business.

My favorite place in Covington Ga! K food is always delicious and hot! Definitely worth it!

Food is amazing! Hands down one of my top spots in the area. I had the catfish and my mom had the salmon patty's. They are 2 for 2 right now!

I ordered the shrimp and grits with the Arnold Palmer drink and it was delicious. Definitely worth what you pay for it

First time customer. Ordered 3 wings and 1 fish meal. Whiting tasted like old frying oil, fries soggy, but biggest disappointment was the wings were under cooked. So, didn't trust the cole slaw after that. Food not eaten. Disappointed. Ordered included tip Upon entering to pick up food, cashier was at the table eating and proceeded to get up to hand me the order. Not sanitary. Boy! Won't be back.

After the NEW owners opened up they are open when they say they are and food is even better!! They catered my party and everyone loved it!! Desserts are soooooo good!

Shrimp and lobsters was A1. I'd recommend 100times. Eat it soon though don't let it sit too long because the oil will puddle and won't be as

I ate here for the first time, had the perch 2eggs and the grits. It was way past breakfast but I live grits especially when they know how to make them. I must say the chef makes a delicious bowl of grits!! They were perfect the eggs where just right and the fish was cooked to perfection. I only used one packet of hot sauce because I wanted to get all the flavor of the fish. The grits and eggs needed no salt or pepper because of the flavor was already popping. I just moved in the area and this will be my new breakfast spot or lunch doesn't matter to me!!​
