The parking here can be tough, so that is my only knock. Not too much they can do with the area. Parking is just right in heights neighborhoods. They do have street parking around, that might eh your best bet.Food and service was amazing, and they had some great wine choices to try out. Do yourself a favor and check out the dessert menu after.

Delicious Caesar salad with fried oysters. Dressing a little spicy but the fried oysters were on point. Cornmeal crusted and fresh. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Field and Tides was recommended on Thrillist as one of the best restaurants for seafood in HTX. Boy did the suggestion hit the jackpot. Since touching foot in Houston I've been wanting to try the seafood here and I have not had a chance to until today. I'm so happy it was here. The ambiance here is really cozy. Like smaller roadside bistro/diners I've visited in the past, this place felt familiar even though I've never been here. When we arrived, we were greeted by the host and was asked if we had reservations because they were already booked for the night; however, we were lucky enough to find a seat at the bar. The bartender, was very friendly and had great recommendations. He was a treat to speak too and his service imbecile. All of our orders were delicious. The appetizer was the fried oyster and brussel sprouts. It was savory, spicy and rich. The seafood entrees were the snapper and redfish. Both great in their own way but I'd have to say the redfish was better. The rice and beans were tasty. To finish the meal we had a made from scratch key lime pie. A great refreshing treat, that's was light, creamy and tangy.Overall, I really can't say enough great things about this place!

Food was ok. Atmosphere was better, small and quaint. But honestly it's a simple menu. Desert was horrible thankfully the server agreed with us. She took a bite out of the cake in front of us, after all of us had tried it and agreed it wasn't good. lol she took it off our bill. Drinks were good.

Ample outside seating, came on a Sunday evening with a reservation for a birthday with a few friends but really didn't needed it. Sat out on the patio with fantastic weather. Parking can be limited at the restaurant which is expected for the heights but there are street parking available. Got to try the crab salad, tuna poke appetizer, friend got a shrimp entrée. quality was pretty good and paired well with a bottle of red. The chocolate cake was very tasty and had some good cocktails, all good there. We had a male waiter originally but disappeared after introducing the specials and showed some annoyance at us not ready to order (it wasn't even that busy), but another came and the service was great rest of the way.

Decided after years of driving to come by for our anniversary. We inhaled the tuna poke for appetizer. It was so delicious. I did the seared tuna steak which was pretty good. The rice was cooked with like a coconut milk I believe. I did buttermilk pie which my husband stole most of since it was so good with the fresh ice cream. The chocolate cake was a bit too rich for my liking. I wouldn't do that again. Overall the group service was decently executed for this size restaurant. I feel it typically is a hit or a miss. We only didn't get one item we ordered with our meal due to them not putting it in. We still had a decent amount. The overall feel is fairly close and doesn't feel like a massive place like most spots are turning into. I liked the smaller feel with the high ceiling. I'm curious about the outside space in the future.

Enjoyed lunch here several times. A good Southern restaurant is about as elusive as a good French restaurant. F&T is a good one.The positives* Always have had good service* Great (small) bar and indoor and outdoor seating * Good food - fresh and quality ingredients * Very good buttermilk pie Areas to consider * Parking can be tight* Price / value is not great

Super cute restaurant with a great parking lot. We made a reservation ahead of time just to be safe but on a Sunday evening we didn't need it. Weather was perfect so we opted to sit outside. Our waitress never forgot about us out there. Wine was great! Tuna poke appetizer was fresh and cold! Shrimp entree was really good, had lots of flavor and the shrimp were big. We had chocolate cake to celebrate a friends birthday and they brought it out with a candle. It wasn't overly sweet which was nice. I definitely want to come back to try the brunch menu!

There's absolutely not a bad thing I can say about F&T. Service is amazing - they tackle things as a team, so you've always got exactly what you need. I went years ago on a whim, pre-pandemic. And I'm. So glad they've lasted and grown!Last night we had the crab tostada and tuna poke to start. Both delicious, but if you're like me and have the busted cilantro taste bud, the tuna is safer - cilantro big enough to remove. I had the shrimp (pictured) based on the recommendation of one of the staff - I was not steered wrong. Dad had the scallops on my recollection of them from years ago. He thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert I had the Caribbean Coffee, which is basically their take on an affogato. Dark Illy coffee with 12 yr Caribbean rum and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. PERFECT way to finish the night. Huge shout out to Keri, Sydni, and Drew for taking such good care of us. Dad and I are already planning our next visit!

Excellent food and service. Will definitely be back! Was caught off guard by the parking situation, but turns out they have a lot across the street which helps a lot. Was surprised to realize that it is split between two different buildings - each an intimate space with no more than 10 tables in each. We both loved our meals and cocktails. The redfish was delicious (as was the roasted okra and tomatoes it came with), and the waiter made a point to tell me that it is offered on all of their menus (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
