Real good! We had the fried flounder, oysters both were seasoned and fried perfect. The teriyaki wings were good. I really liked the seasoned potatoes, the macaroni and the greens. Bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable. Def will be back

A good place to get some fried seafood. This place was recommended to me by my mom as it "tasted like home" as she put it. So we had to give it a try. Coming in on a Friday evening there was no line. There was a DJ playing loud music that filled the room but it was all R&B so it set a nice vibe. The restaurant was clean but most people were doing takeout rather than eat-in. Service: Not great. Not sure if the lady who was taking the orders was having a bad day or not but it seemed like she did not want to be there on the night we went. It was nice that the lady who delivered us our food for our takeout had a much nicer demeanor and made sure to offer any extra sauces we may want. Food: The food was decent. We got the fried catfish platter with collard greens and the shrimp po' boy with collard greens. They standard come with fries but the fries didn't look too appetizing. The serving sizes were about what you expect not too much not too little and the greens are made with pork and garlic but they are tasty. The shrimp po boy could have used a little more sauce but it was still tasty. Overall this place was decent and I can see why locals would go back to try different things. Not a must have if you're just visiting though!

I enjoyed myself. It's a feel good atmosphere. It was a good karaoke set. It has a down home feel to it. My Raspberry/strawberry/ vodka slushy was on point. The owner was welcoming. All and all, I'll go back again and try the food one day.Robin Ess

The food is very good. The fried foods are not at all greasy. Have been there twice and unfortunately, the music was blasting both times. Wish they offered soda in a cup with a straw but all they have is in the can. Which is bizarre because it seems as though they have a liquor license. But the most important thing is the food so we'll go back again. Oh, and the lady who took our order was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

We stopped by this restaurant on Saturday, July 23, 2022 about an hour after they opened. Staff was friendly and professional. We ordered two chicken Philly combo and hot wings with mac & cheese. We tried to order some of their frozen drinks but apparently they were not yet ready/available. They were still being made/mixed.The food came out in a timely manner. Other than not receiving the correct quantity of wings ordered, and the food in general needing a little more seasoning, all entree was enjoyable. The atmosphere was comfortable. This restaurant has a diverse menu which includes various seafood bags, standard lunch items etc. This was refreshing to see and also the availability of frozen daiquiri type drinks is a splendid idea.

I got the Chipotle bbq wings 7/10, the fatty fries 10/10, and a blue pineapple daiquiri 8/10. Chill black owned vibe

We stopped through just to get something quick to eat. The ambiance was nice and I'm sure nice day/nice parties could be hosted here lol. The lady who took our order was very nice and helpful. The gumbo was full of shrimp sausage and crawfish but I've never really had a gumbo that I've really like at any restaurant and this was no exception. I also had a chicken Philly and it was ok. My friend order lemon pepper wings and he ate them like they were great. I'm not a fan of lemon pepper so I didn't try. The people sitting behind us were all eating burgers and they said that's what they'd typically order and that they are always good. So I know what I'll try next time.There's a bar in the back that can seat about 10 people that also has multiple frozen daiquiris machines. I think each machine held alcoholic mixes. They also have a late night menu which from what could see was all fried food. My pictures aren't the best sorry!

Food is great, but the staff is really what seals the deal! went there a couple weeks back with family while I was in town loved the very reasonably priced drinks and food! left there feeling full and satisfied! Had a little Oopsy and left my car key after my purse fell and didn't realize until I got back home to Southern California, the team was so kind when I called and helped me get my car key back not long after I got home. The kindness that I experienced from the staff while at the restaurant and with my whole missing key issue, is not something you don't see everyday! Food tasted home cooked and the staff made you feel at home at the same time! Next time I'm in Raleigh fat boys is my first stop, gotta try the rest of the drink menu!

You must try this spot! The Philly egg rolls were amazing! My son and husband enjoyed the fatty fries! The fatty burger juicy!

Stopped in to grab something to eat. Staff is always great and food is always good. No complaints here. Highly recommended.
