El Tejado 2651 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80210 was highly recommended by my cousin, so of course I had to try it.The restaurant is an attractive stand alone building with good parking. Inside was nicely decorated with a full bar and plenty of booths and tables. I really liked how clean everything was and how all the employees were dressed in server uniforms. When I arrived with my group for breakfast around 11:30 AM, the restaurant was about 1/2, full but when we left, it was almost at capacity.I had the Huevos Rancheros, while the others had a Breakfast Burrito, and Huevos Divorciados. What can I say but excellent fresh home made food. It's really that good. The chips and salsa really hit the spot and having house made corn tortillas just added to the experience. The service was great! Everyone worked as a team.If you're in Denver CO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant!

Homemade corn tortillas. Flour tortillas are great, but a fresh corn tortilla made from pressed massa and immediately fried and served is hard to beat. Not many places bother, but next time you're at El Tejado and are asked "flour or corn" do yourself a favor and say "corn, pot favor!"

Was recommended to try this place out and I was not disappointed. I wish I could do 3.5 stars. To me 3 stars is good and 4 is great. They have plenty of parking- so don't worry about street parking. We were sat in the front of the room, when I had to use the restroom, I had no idea how big this place is. The bar seemed to be more of a vibe. They had huge tvs everywhere to watch the games and enjoy dinner. The host was very welcoming and sweet girls. Our server was good, he was attentive. Only thing is I wished was he told us the Molcajete was a big portion of- enough for us to share, because I would of loved to get an appetizer or a different entree to try as well. They have a an extensive menu, lots to chose from. When we were leaving I did read a sign that the molcajete are made for 2. But it's okay just meant we had leftovers for the next day. For the entree it was good, I do wish there was more of the sauce in the bowl. Besides that, no complaint. The small margarita I ordered was a decent size for a small. And they are not stingy on the alcohol, I had a nice buzzed after dinner which is the best feeling. I def would come back for this meal or to try other dishes.

Decent Mexican restaurant. Enjoyed my lunch special with Chile relleno, beef burrito and cheese enchilada- 13.95. The nachos come as individual chips already loaded with toppings- 12.95. Chips were a bit soggy. Mexican soup was filled with large pieces of chicken. Loved the green Chile sauce on my combo. Loved the interior and Mexican music.

Food is always good, sometimes the wait is long (30-45 minutes), the wait is worth it though. I would recommend the carne asada burrito for first timers, definitely a great choice. the chili cheese fries are a great choice as well, always a go to.The ambiance is so welcoming, don't forget to

This place is always busy, so you know it's a good spot. Our regular orders are the molcajete and the fajitas, both of which have the perfect amount of spice. Their margaritas are delicious, but beware the medium size is huge. We love coming here on a Friday date night and grabbing a booth to enjoy the food and people watching.

Everything was really good. Very authentic. However, American-style crispy beef tacos are a little wet. Salsa is appropriately spicy. Service quick and impeccable. Seems to be a regular lunch spot. Bar and drinks are great.

I have been coming to this spot for a few years now and they never disappoint. The house margaritas are great and they don't skimp on the tequila. Literally everything on their menu is great. My favorite is the camarones enchamarados other great things on the menu to try is the carnitas and the pozole. Service is always great, Veronica is one of the sweetest hosts there.

We've been coming to El Tejado every time we've come to Denver. The restaurant is large, with a sizable parking lot and patio. It does tend to get crowded on weekends but we've generally never had to wait. Staff here is very friendly and efficient. The food is pretty usual Mexican fare, but we love the green chili here. El Tejado serves it thin more like a stew, and it's very tomato-y with very little meat. The chili packs some serious heat if you order it spicy, so beware! Food portions come pretty large, and the first chips and salsa is free for the table. All the burritos come smothered and have a healthy filling of protein and beans without too much filler. They serve massive margaritas here which look like a very popular option.

The waitress was AWFULLY rude! She did NOT understand what I ordered, and brought the meal, which was totally wrong. I can accept that, obviously her English is not good, but I cannot accept her ARGUING with me that she brought what I ordered and she ANGRILY grabbed the plate and took it away, challenging me that she had brought what I ordered, that's CRAZY! I loved this place for years, but sadly this RUDE waitress ruined it for me. Some of the other great waiters/waitresses are still there, but I don't want to have to HOPE I get to their table next time! The management needs to get their act together!
