What a hidden gem!! I've come here multiples times since being in Denver and take all of my visitors here for their tacos. After over 4 years, El Sampa is still the BEST Mexican food around! I usually go at least once a month, but I always get the same thing, dammit, I really need to try other things! I always get either the 3 or 4 Tacos(depending on how hungry I am) with either Carnitas or Carne Asada.This time it was Carnitas, and I went early, before the place filled up for lunch. It was a great move, the platter was ready in about 2 minutes, and it arrived piping hot & looking good! It was!!!!

Food was so good, variety of salsas and drinks, fast service, the micheladas were amazing and refreshing. Indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely a must try if you want authentic mexican food.

I'm so glad I finally checked out this spot in my neighborhood! My husband and I came on a Friday night around 9:15 after going to a concert at nearby Levitt Pavilion. There was ample parking and seating, and while the line to order seemed a little long, it went pretty quick. This is a super casual, but nicely decorated taqueria that sells drinks as well as a variety of Mexican food. The food was a great value and tasted excellent. I also LOVED the variety of aguas frescas they had, fruit, elotes, desserts, etc. This time, we ordered a smothered burrito (suadero) and the quesabirria tacos. Both we're excited, and both are meats you can't find at just any Mexican restaurant. I'm looking forward to coming back soon to try out their other food!

Lunch, Very Authentic food. English is not spoken here!!!! Anglo Had a difficult time ordering. Both chicken and beef solf tacos outstanding. About $21 for two. Soda in bottles....most guys drinking beer.

Moved to the area recently and trying out different places for lunch. Came to El Sampa for a burrito, I ordered an Al pastor burrito for about $12. There was a mistake in the order, they accidentally smothered it and offered to make me a new one. I said no no, I'd be happy to eat the smothered one, since I'm against food waste. They didn't upcharge me and I got a smothered burrito for $12! They packed it up for me with utensils and napkins. It was incredibly filling and tasty, and came with guac, sour cream, and lettuce and tomato. I grabbed some pickled carrots and salsa verde from the salsa bar.

El Sampa has been my go to taco place for the last 6 or so years and it's always a place I go to when I have my taco fix. They have a lot more than tacos as well and have a bar that serves huge margaritas and beers at a great price. My personal favorite is their steak and al pastor tacos. Their quesabirria is also delicious and comes with consome that you can dip your tacos in. This is such a great spot and all the friends I've brought here have loved it! The food comes out quick, service is great and it's a no frills kind of spot, so don't come here expecting to be catered to. Go up to the counter, order something and sit down!

I have to say this is one of my favorite places to come and enjoy all the variety of food they offer in their menu.Staff if super friendly BUT lately customers you find customers drinking alcohol super heavily and we witness a fight between two drunk guys. I no longer consider this restaurant a family friendly restaurant Specially on weekends! I wish staff or management does something about it. Either limit the intake customer's have or call the police or does something about it. I can't imagine the risk these people put out on the streets for accidents. I would gladly change my stars of something is done about it

I cannot recommend this place enough. Loved it! The Pastor tacos were excellent. I ordered too much because everything looked so good and then I could not stop myself from eating because it was actually very good.
