El Jefe Taco's & Burrito's

My favorite breakfast burrito place! It is conveniently located. The staff is always pleasant. My go to is their sausage breakfast burrito. It has sliced link sausage, eggs, potatoes, cheese and green chili. It will fill you up and keep you going for hours. They have daily burrito specials as well as a lunch/dinner menu.

30 minute wait for 3 burritos!! Wasn't even busy. Missed half my nephews football game. Unbelievable

I had a couple of breakfast burritos, (potato, egg and bacon) today. Although the burrito was fat and filled with potato's, there was very little egg and bacon. I will also add that the green chili was delicious...El Jefe burritos is very convenient in this neighborhood, so I will probably return. Even though for the price I would expect more meat...

Egg potato and cheese is really just a mushy potato with almost no egg or cheese back to Santiago's I go.

The first time we came here, the service was pretty awful. The waitress was nice but she neglected to take our order and follow through. We were finally served our dishes and she was very apologetic that the kitchen got my order wrong. And she didn't provide napkins or flatware. The enchiladas are sweet, not spicy. The pozole was watery, but they did do a good job of limiting the meat, which I requested. The second time we visited was at 5 pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. We found 2 seats at the bar and ordered right away. The mango shrimp tacos are a favorite of my companion, though they are just sweet to me, and could use some heat. I ordered the Barbacoa and at the second bite encountered a huge piece (like literally 2" long by 1.5" wide) of gristle. The bartender offered to replace, and did remove the taco from the check. Both of my tacos were served at a temperature which seemed like they had been sitting for a few minutes before being delivered to us.

I've only gotten breakfast burritos to go here, they are pretty good. Not my favorite but they do the job when you want a quick burrito and the cost is good. I got a plain egg and cheese burrito and it was pretty potato heavy but still good.

This is a go-to breakfast burrito stop for me! Great food and very consistent. Since staffing changed recently, they have taken a hit. It turned this 5 star breakfast burrito place to a 1 star real quick. I sat on hold for 6 minutes where the employee never muted me and I could hear her helping 5 groups of guests and taking an Uber eats order while I patiently waited. I understand the restaurant industry is taking a hit right now but she then picked up the phone and hung up on me. I called back and she asked to put me on hold and I said yes but you did just accidentally hang up on me. She proceeded to yell that she is only one person before slamming the phone down to "put me on hold again". I then waited another 24+ minutes before finally giving up. It's one thing to be busy and another thing to avoid the phone. If she was too busy, she should have not answered. We live across the street and could have walked there in less than 5 minutes Again, great food but it DOES NOT make up for the shit service.

El Jefe is modern inside with a simple outside seating. I heard from a very reliable source a couple of weeks ago that their menu is worth checking out. Especially one thing that I am fond of: Menudo!It's confirmed. Their menudo is the best around within my driving limit for food. And I have none:) it's loaded with meat instead of lots of hominy. The best! It comes in a medium bowl and the smell is pretty strong which to me signals a dish made by someone who loves it like me. I heard their breakfast burrito rocks here tooI don't know if the El Jefe in d/t Denver is related to this Arvada location. I'm not going anywhere now that I found this!Clean location, fast service and it's got its own private parking lot. Orale!

I dont really write reviews but i order a burrito they put extremely alot of salt had to eat it anyways due to running late to work

ordered some steak burritos today and bit into a rock in my burrito. The rock tasted better than the food. But I was surprisingly more disappointed by the customer service.
