Need better furnishings. Narrow log cabin wooden chairs or non-adjustable booth seating.I typically get take out since dining in not great for larger folks.Cashiers are inconsistent in what they include/exclude for take out. They don't want to issue the drink or dessert that's included with the buffet. It costs about $3-5 more for takeout, although you only made one trip.The fish is good, but staff have a bad habit of allowing cooled off fish to stay on steam table. Need to turn over fresh, hot fish more often on Saturday Seafood Day.The chicken salad and pasta salad are very good. So is the shrimp, deviled crab and boneless ribs. Mashed potatoes are homemade. Salmon cake pretty good too.

Down home food and atmosphere.. the buffet has a good choice of items with good quality. I eat lunch here when visiting the plant in the area and the biggest problem is not overeating. Wouldn't be my choice for health food or dieting ha

We needed to make a quick stop on our road trip, so happy we stopped at Eddie's Cafe out of convenience and the reviews on Yelp. Don't disappoint. , Food was delicious, and plentiful. We ordered shrimp platters , which came with hush puppies, two sides and a tea for $10 a meal. Shrimp was fresh, and cooked to perfection. Hush puppies were great, food only took 10-15 minutes to be prepared, staff was friendly... would DEFINITELY come back.

An excellent $10 lunch buffet ... that is certainly popular with the locals.The staff is attentive. The restroom is clean. Plenty of parking.

Eddie's Cafe is a nice stop while in Newton Grove, NC. The BBQ is good and they have a very friendly staff. We opted for the lunch buffet during our visit. We tried the chicken pastry, fried chicken, bbq, fried fatback, cole slaw, and hush puppies. It was all good and a really fair value at $9 a person.

Potato salad will make you smack yo mama... If you're ever in town on Friday nights all you can eat seafood for $11.79 daaaayyyyuuummm

I love Yelp! It led me to this gem. I went to the Carolina Nutcracker for pecans and looked on Yelp for a lunch spot. I got the BBQ tray for $5.50. bbq, slaw and freshly cooked hush puppies. It hit the spot! They also had a very nice looking buffet with vegetables that looked good. I had trouble deciding so I will need to come back. The service was very good. A nice, friendly, locally run place. You know when there are lots of trucks in the parking lot, it's gotta be good. I highly recommend it!

Glad I stopped. Had the large fried oyster plate with French fries and slaw, a Pepsi, and some tartar sauce. Hushpuppies were great too. Nice and light.

Stopped through this area while on road trip. Easy to access from interstate. Super friendly staff. We ordered the seafood buffet and a barbecue small plate. Then came back second time through. Could not have friendlier staff. Come for the food which is very inexpensive and then come back for the people. So take a five minute drive of the interstate and try something local.

High hopes for this place. A lot of food - great prices. Lacked flavor in the flounder and the BBQ pork :( cold slaw good but plain. Hush puppies tasted like donuts! Not very corn meal- ish. Canned green beans. Fried chicken was good!! Stick with the chicken.
