Oh where do I even start. Everything about this place was perfect. My friends and I started the night by being rejected from another kbbq place because it was "too late." After 5 minutes of checking other places in the area, we decided on E.M Bop. The first thing we noticed was that the parking lot was full of people, which was a great sign. Upon walking in, we were sat and placed our orders. Our waiter asked us what we'd like to get started, and upon stating that we'd like the beef bulgogi with rice, we were told "no." After about 10 seconds of dead silence, he asked if we wanted everything else. This made me consider asking for his hand on the spot, but instead I wrote a rap:clinking cups with clacking claws of metalbumping bass booms beef bulgogi stews the searing of meat burns my heartPork Belly fills my bellyand the PorksOINKIt's The endOf The MoNTHbut The weekend is oursthe weeknd with carsswerving on marsthats how How I feel at BOP EMnot EMPI need to peeWhat I can really appreciate about this restaurant is how they only play girl group MVs, choreos, and stage mixes. What good American wants to see men with dyed hair and painted nails sing and dance? A red blooded patriot like me only wants to see girls. I immediately began by trying the kimchi, which was pretty good honestly. If you don't like kimchi you're not very bright and need to grow up. As I chewed my kimchi and watched GIDLE perform, I realized I was parched. Thats when I saw it. The beautiful, crisp, cold water was in beautiful containers with incredible graphic designs. You can pour the water into steel cups to drink it, which makes it more crisp. So far, my experience was going extremely well. I like sticky riceI grill pineapples nicely안녕하세요 (Annyeonghaseyo)I was truly impressed and happy as I dined in the EM Bop restaurant. We were lively and joyous, as were the wait staff. I just know the Hookah bar patrons next door were jealous. Would return. Maybe tomorrow. I also learned today that you can also grill the kimchi to enhance the flavor. I don't know why that never occurred to me, but after trying it, I realized I had been missing out after all these years. As a self proclaimed kbbq connoisseur, I couldn't believe that this thought had never crossed my mind.i BELIEVE THE BASS FROM the hookah bar was emanating throughout the entire restaurant.

I think food wise it's a 3.5/5 stars, but I rounded up to 4 for the review because the service was really good. They came to check on us frequently and didn't miss a beat when we needed to put more orders whether it's for sauces, banchan (sides), meat, water, etc. We came as a group of 6 so we got to sample a variety of meats. The only ones that really stuck out to me were the briskets, pork belly, and the EMBop signature short rib. We got the seasoned short rib and it was really gamey compared to the EMBop signature one. My friends really liked their corn cheese, but for me I think it was too sweet. The egg souflee was my favorite side dishes: light, fluffy, juicy, and savory. The banchan didn't really stick out to me and I didn't eat much of it, which is surprising since I love picking at banchan. They gave a variety of sauces, which is nice to have many options. They also have ssamjang (fermented soy bean paste) sauce that pairs well with pork belly, but you have to ask the waiter for it.

I don't know if this place used to be good but it's just below average now. The interior is outdated, very poor ventilation, smells like grease, and is very dirty. It's in need of a renovation. We came for lunch and ordered the kimchi pancake, beef bone broth soup, and mullangmyun. The pancake was undercooked and still wet and soggy on the inside. I took most of it home and recooked it. The soup was basic as well as the cold noodles. The service was good. Not sure if it was because we were the only customers in there but the servers were nice and service was quick. There are so many Korean restaurants/bbq in the area and this one seems a bit run down so I would not come back here.

This KBBQ restaurant in Duluth used to be good, now it's more catered to those that like AYCE. We got there around 6:30 pm on a Friday night and waited about 30 minutes for a table. Service overall was pretty good, but the meat quality has gone down. We ordered combo B and enjoyed the service more than the meat...There were plenty of side dishes and they were alright. Ice cold beer and soju made our dinner a bit better.

Come for the meat, stay for the sides!! This is my go-to kbbq place! A little out of the way but really amazing price to value, plus the sides that come with the AYCE (All you can eat) is second to none! Dumplings, Korean side dishes galore, steamed egg, cheese rice and fries!! (In definitely missing like 5 of them, please explore and yell at me for forgetting to mention them). The service is super fast and attentive (unlike other kbbq places).

Had a terrible experience this past weekend that let me and my friends to decided we're not coming back to E.M Bop. This is very unfortunate because we actually love the food here and we pretty much come at least once a month, but these new servers they have are ruining the experience for everyone. Our server was super rude and kept rushing everything. I asked for a soda after I saw he brought one for someone else in my table (he never asked me what I wanted to drink) and he literally rolled his eyes at me and walked away. Their menu says the cut off time is 90 minutes but after an hour of being there our server brought our checks without us asking for it. It was one of my friends birthday and another friend wanted to pay for her so we asked if he could put her check in his. The server got super annoyed and handed my friend a notepad and a pen so she could write how we wanted check splits because "he was confused". He wasn't confused, he was just annoyed at something that wouldn't had happened if he asked first if we were ready for the checks and how we wanted them split. My friend asked if she could have some more cheese corn before we paid he said "no because I already closed your check" but we literally never told him we were done smh. After this we all agreed we're not coming back unfortunately. Their menu also states that they will charge 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more but they charge this to everyone even when we had 2 people, or 4 people. This is not okay when you're receiving the worst service ever.

We visited E.M. Bop around 630pm on a Saturday with a party of 5. Had a very short wait to be seated. The restaurant is very small and a bit run down. Food was fine but definitely the worst of the several Korean BBQ places we have visited in the past. The Bulgogi was the best of the lot. The pork belly was awfully tough and hard to chew. Had to actually spit a piece in my napkin because it was so tough. After approximately 45 to 60 minutes the manager brought our check and left. Evidently I didn't address it quick enough because after a few minutes he returned and handed me the check for me to address immediately and I complied. He then returned and sat it on the table for me to sign and left. I signed the bill and our party continued our conversation and after a few minutes he returned and said the restaurant was very busy and that we needed to leave. He was not extremely rude about it but I still was a bit offended. This has never happened at any of the other similar styled restaurants before and I don't consider myself as one who hogs a table longer than they should. The AYCE Korean BBQ experience does mean that tables do not flip as fast as other restaurants and I did feel shoved out the door. That's fine. We are blessed with about a thousand of these Korean BBQ restaurants to choose from and I will just visit one of the others I have visited in the past. Goodbye E M. Bop.

We checked in upon arrival at the kiosk and was #2 in line. There was no one at the front desk, no one else waiting, and they did not seem busy. One of the staff walked by and said nothing, he answered the phone and left. We waited close to about 10 mins with zero acknowledgment of our existence from the staff and had considered leaving. Finally someone comes by and takes us to our table. We went with the ayce option. Our entire experience was average. Our server was somewhat attentive and changed our grill plenty of times, however when we asked for more sides the service was extremely slow. The meat quality is above average but lacked flavor.

This is my go-to spot for KBBQ. The price to meat/side selection ratio is undefeated. Some major pluses are the built-in vents that help the smoke from destroying you while you eat & this often the grills are changed (basically with every meat).-1 just because the service experience can be pretty inconsistent depending on who is helping you. They also don't seem to have a fixed server zone so everyone is kind of everywhere & you have to really try to flag someone down when it gets busy (which is challenging if you're put in one of the side rooms).. the service call button used to help but it seems like they've removed those. Nevertheless, I have & will continue to frequent this place for my KBBQ needs!
