Dumpling King

Best dumplings in town! They bring them to you promptly nice and hot. I love the jalapeños. I mix it with the ginger and vinegar and soy sauce. Yummy!

Service is subpar, with them getting several of our orders wrong and missing one order. Soup and eggrolls were good.. Soup dumpling were not good and was dry inside and the bottom was like mushy...everything was already drained out onto these rags inside the pan. However both the steamed and the pan fried combo dumplings were good. Mapo tofu was not something I'd eat again. Their garlic sauce broccoli and bamboo was really good. Orange beef was really good, but a LOT of sauce. When packing up to go, they wanted to charge 50 cents for an extra bowl container, telling us it was too expensive to give to us. I'm sorry, but you are going to quibble over 50 cents on a $100 ticket? One small bowl of rice for 3 entrees...Like most of the food was good, but you are cheaping out in a way that leaves me not wanting to come back.

Love this place. My go to order is chicken and chive dumplings.When my family comes into town they ask to come to dumpling king for dinner. They order from the mapo tofu, shrimp fired rice and the garlic chicken. The service lol! I get a laugh every time i come here.

Great spot that I've come to for years with my family! You cannot beat these prices and the food is magnificent and true to their flavors.The lo mein is one of the best Chinese renditions with incredible flavor! The steamed pork dumplings are by far the best dumplings in Houston! The beef and broccoli is as flavorful as the picture entails!Truly a gem of a restaurant! Very nice staff! I visited here since I needed to buy some time before an event. The menu is pretty simple, they have standard americanized Chinese dishes but a good selection of dumplings, and even noodle soups.Since it was a chilly day, I chose a 6pc pan fried pork dumpling and N3. A noodle soup with chicken and collard greensEverything was pretty tasty and service was good. Parking can be a pain sometimes since the lot in front is too small for the strip center. If you trust your car in the rear lot, it's usually pretty open.My one major complaint was I discovered a piece of plastic fragment, probably from some packaging, in my soup intertwined with the green veggies. So they need to improve their sloppiness and quality control.

DUMPLINGS!!! WOW! These are legit dumplings, and i ate lunch later in the afternoon, but these were FRESH! I swear they rolled them to order!Cool that they have servings of 6 or 10, and you can mix and match them. I've never had chicken w/cheese so i tried some, and they were tasty!Granted it was slow, but the service was impeccable. The waitress waited on me basically hand and foot! VERY friendly and I felt very appreciated. She thanked me three times for coming in.I will be back!

In the 80's my mom would bring me food from Dumpling King I was a child. Now almost 50 years old and many years later I crave Dumpling King and come in with my Mom. Mmm I've tried all their dumplings, but I prefer pan fried pork and the sides they bring you of ginger, jalapeño and red pepper so fresh and tasty here. No comparison in HTown! Love their variety of dishes, and my "favorite" Hot & Sour soup like no other Chinese restaurant. Once you have Dumpling King your expectations will be high and hard to beat. Trust! lolThe service is always friendly and excellent. The dinning room is cozy and always clean. Love the Chinese beer. Best Chinese Food in Houston, TX!

This is the # 1 best place for steamed dumplings. My entire family and I would even put the second best dumplings around below this gem spot by multiple steps. I ordered 1 Steamed Beef, Steamed Chicken and 1 Steamed Veggie with 10 in each case. All 3 were very delicious, soft, juicy and so flavorful. Every other place has either bland, chewy or just mediocre dumplings around the city, except Dumpling King and Bori, which is a Korean restaurant with a very different style. The dough on each of these was really tasty and had just the right thickness. The meat in the 2/3 orders as well as the veggie filling in one were really addictive like the outer casing. I had never had the veggie ones from here before n missed out all these years. I hadn't had a really good veggie dumpling until this visit since Feng Ling closed back in 2015 in the adjacent shopping center. Great, friendly service on this visit from my server. The dumplings taste the exact same and never have any flaws, off tastes or gristle in any of the times I have eaten them since I was 3 or since the 80s back when my parents first went here according to their word too. Love the ginger, bell pepper and soy sauces with them, but these dumplings honestly don't even need them, just bonuses.

Excellent and fresh dumplings in town. Small dining area but food is fresh, very tasty & good. Not just dumpling but a good variety of Chinese food. MaPo tofu is great as well as the soups. Prices are very very good compared to many other Chinese restaurants. Hard working small family owned. Tip them well and TREAT YOURSELF
