Doshi Sushi

This is a totally unassuming spot - it's basically in a strip mall. All the servers are incredibly attentive. It is a Korean spot so expect the greetings and Korean side dishes to come out with your meal. The fried fish cake side dish definitely overshadowed the radish dish. Savory fish cakes in a sesame oil marinade. The fish is SO fresh. That's all you want from a sushi spot really, letting the fish shine. The real star is the the shrimp tempura. I have thought about this dish every day since I've had it. The batter is light and ultra crunchy, yet the shrimp inside is still soft and delicate. I honestly didn't even need the sauce it comes with for dipping. I didn't want to swallow because I needed to savor every bite. Will come back at the minimum for the tempura, the rest of their sushi/seafood is tasty as well.

Very good Korean style sushi in Duluth. Ate here a few times and the last time with friends, really enjoyed it. We were seated in a nice, quiet room. The server brought us some fresh side dishes which were very tasty. We ordered a lunch special for three and lots of beer and soju. Very good service and lots of food even for three people.

E X P E R I E N C E we came on a Sunday for brunch around 11am. we had a reservation for 6 and a baby. we were immediately sat and had a private room (love!). F O O Dhot tea set E for 5 people (but our 6th doesn't eat raw fish) chefs choice of sashimi and sushi (see photos but there were 5 pc of 5 different cuts of sashimi, eel and shrimp tempura roll grilled fishshrimp tempura spicy squid fish roe over rice fish roe soup steamed egg it wasn't bad! the sashimi/nigiri cuts were all thick and quite fresh. the steamed egg was so tasty. the dishes all came with beautiful presentation. the spicy squid wasn't very spicy (for someone who loves spicy). it wasn't over grilled where it's too crunchy. it was meaty and chewy. everything was pretty good, but for the price? amazing!!P R I C E 155 + tax tip

Absolutely my favorite spot! The service is really friendly and quick. The combo is worth it and comes with ample amount of food for the price. We ordered the lunch combo for 3 and got sashimi, sushi, side dishes including kimchi and steamed eggs along with much more, and soup. They were very attentive when we needed refills as well and gave out chocolates. Overall, my favorite place for fresh, good sushi and will be visiting again soon!

Food: I liked everything besides the hamachi carpaccio, but that might be bc I don't really like yellow tail like that haha. Dancing with star roll is salmon sashimi was good too. Ambiance: clean and nice private rooms. Service: I'm taking a star off for this. I usually come here and it's fine. But recently I came at 5pm on a Tuesday and place was empty. We were finishing dinner at around 6pm. I was still talking to my friend and finishing the last bits of food and the waitress handed us the check. It felt like they were trying to rush us out. I understand if it's busy or closing, but the place was empty and not closing yet. Instead they should've asked us how we are doing instead of handing the check imo.

The food is incredible - a new casual sushi spot. We beat the rush which I'm grateful for because we had an incredible convo with the staff about sake options. Fresh fish at a great price - will return!

Such a delicious sushi place in Duluth! We got a roll, the sashimi lunch combo, and a fish cutlet. Everything came out quickly and was well presented. I loved the sashimi and it was very good value for lunch. The inside is also very cute and well decorated.

MUST STOP By! What drew me to this restaurant initially was their amazing lunch dine in only specials. Not only have their prices have stayed consistent over the last 2 years but their quality of service and food has also been terrific. FOOD: their flounder katsu ($16 lunch special includes 2 large crispy pieces + miso soup) was so delicious. In addition, they have whole ranges of sushi lunch specials ranging from $16-50 depending on the quantity desired. SERVICE: waiters are always sharp, work on a team and very bright. Even before I asked for refills or needed something, they would bring it right to you. Cleanliness and organization are top notch. The manager/owner is also very involved/friendly and walks around to ensure good care for each patron. Highly recommend especially if you are looking for GREAT SERVICE, FRESH FOOD without feeling like your wallet is drained.

I am so disappointed in our experience here. I wanted to do family dinner tonight and we don't get to do that too often, so I wanted to chose just the right spot. I really missed the mark. The service was terrible and the food was only slightly above the service. The ambiance was cute and everything looked promising. The server that came to the table did not even smile and told us that we need to get her order in by 8:50. It was only 815. So we felt kind of rushed from the start. We quickly chose food and placed our orders. I ordered a sushi roll called Big Sexy, my boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki, and my daughter ordered chicken fried rice and a salmon nigiri. We also ordered a side of spicy mayo, which was not spicy whatsoever. I should also mention that it was incredibly quiet in the restaurant. I guess I know why now. That should've been our clue to leave. My daughter tried the nigiri and was very quiet about how it was so that was telling in itself. My roll was okay, not great but edible. The rice was pretty fresh. My boyfriend gave his teriyaki chicken 3 stars. My daughter's fried rice was inedible. The chicken was pure rubber and the rice tasted like mush. I could not eat more than one bite. My boyfriend tried it and agreed. When the check came, we told the server that the rice was not good. I could not eat more than one bite. Then another server had come to the table so I again reiterated on the rice and I was ignored. I am shocked at the poor service here. That's not how you work with your patrons. From my get-go, I did not feel welcome here. This restaurant left a bad taste in my mouth, literally and figuratively. No way will we be back.

Super delicious sushi! Service was great and fast, our server was very friendly. Restaurant was pleasantly quiet and music wasn't too loud. Was pleased with appetizers and side dishes as well. Great Korean/Japanese combination!
