Dos Patrias

Holy cow, TRY THIS PLACE!! We went here last night with some friends that previously dined here for breakfast. At first glance, there was no curb appeal and due to tinted windows, it looked closed. But we went in anyways! They were open but not many people inside. We were greeted and seated immediately by our waitress Ruby. The menu had lots of options so it was hard to pick something but we each got a different plate and tried a little bit of everything. By far, the smoking chicken enchiladas are THE BEST!! I was blown away!!! Must try it!! Ruby - I have to give this gal a lot of credit! The restaurant filled up pretty fast after we sat down and she was the only waitress there. She handled all the tables and did a fantastic job! She was very sweet, very knowledgeable about the food and provided the most hospitable service. 5 stars for the food and for Ruby!!

Took my elderly mom here for lunch on Super Bowl Sunday. I had the huevos rancheros and my mom had a smothered beef and bean burrito, sans cheese. The huevos rancheros were flavorful. The fried potatoes were spectacular and the beans were just as tasty. The green chili had flecks of tender pork and while delicious, I wish it was spicier. My mom loved her burrito and ate half of it. The service was prompt and attentive, and the server treated my mom with care. The restaurant is brightly decorated but a bit disheveled.

We were greeted upon entry by a friendly hostess and seated immediately on a Saturday evening at about 6. It was fairly empty. We sat on the patio which could be much nicer if they cleaned up the stacks of chairs and added some planters. I tried a combo plate, the burrito, taco, and relleno were all rather tiny, the green chili sauce was okay. It did not include beans and rice, I added them but was disappointed. Both were dry and not good flavor. My partner tried the pastor fajitas, which came with store bought tortillas. Her strawberry margarita was a bit sweet.

Myself and my man we're looking for a new place to go try and we realize that we haven't tried this place yet, and it's just a few blocks away from our home. We were greeted very kindly when we walked in which I love that being acknowledged when you walk in makes the whole atmosphere change, we sat at our table. They brought us our menu. They brought chips and salsa. They have happy hour Monday through Friday 3 to 6. We ordered margaritas very tasty and you buy one get one free 3 to 6 happy hour AWESOME . We ordered combination plates #7 & #9. we were very pleased by the Food representation on the plates. Food came out warm not hot. It should've been a little bit hotter as in heat from being cooked the chili lacked a little flavor on my smothered burrito. Maybe I should've got hot instead of Mild lol but sometimes you're never sure about how hot is hot when it comes to eating out ‍ the dining room at south is very cozy with Mexican decor, so that was really pretty to look at and their menu was four pages, except for the cover front to back they even have burgers and sandwiches, which is good to know the service was great. Our server did not leave us hanging at any time, she checked on us periodically oh, I know the experience was great. The food was good and we had a great time. Give it a try. We were hungry after wine tasting at Spero. We popped in for a late lunch. This place did not disappoint. I went for the Quesa Birria tacos (three corn tortillas with shredded beef, mozzarella cheese, cilantro, and onion served with consommé). I was rather happy with the quality and flavors. I have been on a bit of a Quesa Birria taco quest this last year and I would put these at a B/B+ overall. The place was almost empty, so our service was good this day.

Stopped in and ended up getting takeout due to unforseen timelines. The drinks were great and so were the prices. The red enchilada sauce was AMAZING

Chips and salsa are amazing. Go there on the weekend and rock out some karaoke with some cute girls working.=good time

Dos Patrias, owned by Mauricio, provides excellent food comprised of fresh quality ingredients - served colorfully on a full plate to satisfy the heartiest of appetites. I was seated at a comfortable table for 4 and everyone at our table really enjoyed their meals - which was central to heightening the quality of our shared experience on a Saturday evening! The margaritas are huge and made to pack a punch! There is a bar for folks who prefer to sit and experience a bar experience similar to popular restaurants in Mexico City. If you want to experience what it's like to be in a family-run restaurant in Mexico, Dos Patrias is the place to take you on a journey - food, drink and setting wise! While at Dos Patrias, Mauricio may visit with you briefly at your table. The owner is charming and engaging. Mauricio will contribute to you feeling a sense of belonging. Mauricio's daughters and staff appear happy to receive guests and are excellent hosts. Dos Patrias has an excellent outdoor patio for large parties and for just enjoying the last days of summer! If you're searching for a restaurant that will please your palate, look no further than Dos Patrias.
