If you're looking for Korean comfort food, then this is the place. There are lots of authentic dishes available including hearty soups and stews. They also provide a wonderful variety of complimentary side dishes. My husband ordered the spicy fish egg soup (L4. Al Tang) and I ordered the cabbage and premium short ribs soup (L11. Wanggalbi Ugegi Tang). The food was satisfying and service was friendly. We will be back!

First time here, had a delicious meal. I got the beef soup (Wang galbi wooguji galbitang) with two huge bones of beef and cabbage soup. I'm a fan. It was really good, and also plentiful. I took half of it home and had another meal. The banchan was pretty good and service was great. My friend got the kimchi jjigae and it was also very good.I'll definitely be back to try other items!

Their pancake was super duper crispy and delicious! Their side dishes were also spectacular this time around. A friend also said that this place is more generous about the portions as well.I'm going to rave about the ban chans for a moment. The mushroom pieces were tasty and sizable. It's also something you don't often see. I would consider this a more "premium" ingredient. There was also a seaweed type dish that my friend said had a smoky taste. We all really liked this the most. And of course the fishcake pieces were yummy. Though the pancake was the shared appetizer, it made me full with the three way split. I have never really experienced a wowing moment with pancakes before. This really blew my mind and the reason for this reason. Oh. Remembering that crispness. A must pick either to share or as your main dish.I had their fermented tofu dish as the main entree. The version here was more soupy compared to another place I tried. It was unique to my palette on a cold winter's day. It wasn't as good with the leftovers imo but best eaten right there. There were enough tofu pieces to make it not as soupy. For some reason, it took a second try with the right food picks. And I do believe that if you choose something lackluster to your taste buds then the impression of the restaurant will change. I adored this last visit hence the four star review.

Love this hole in the wall spot, it is located in a hard to find area but also next to another Korea restaurant. The service here is fast and attentive. We were served water and hot tea upon arrival. There also had many different banchan options to choose from and they can be refilled. We got the seafood pancake to share and it was really crispy and flavorful. They also gave us each a sauce to dip the pancake it and also cut it up and served it but pieces for us! I got the seollongtang and really enjoyed although i wish there was a little more meat or noodles. The server also brought seasonings (salt and pepper) for the soup to season to my own liking. The wang galbi tang was the star! With big pieces of meat on the bone and a spicy and hearty broth. The grilled mackerel was also good, crispy and tender. Overall, this is a great spot for some hearty soups and homemade style Korean food.

I love hole-in-the-walls! Dong Neh Bang Neh is so off the beaten track that finding it was a little like a maze. It's part of a quiet complex that doesn't seem to house any active businesses, and you'll have to swing your vehicle past a few turns before you'll finally spot it. But once you do, you'll wonder how you ever missed it. With tantalizing posters of Korean food plastered all over their windows and even an edible garden at the front (we caught sight of a server stepping out to water the pepper plants and stalks of perilla leaves), we were starting to feel fairly enthusiastic about our meal before we even stepped inside. One thing we noticed on both our visits is that the tables around us always seemed to be chowing down on their food amidst boisterous conversations in Korean. Seeing your own people standing at a restaurant always feels like a testament to its authenticity. The service wasn't terribly warm - perhaps even a little brusque at times. My husband asked for a refill of a banchan, those free Korean side dishes that arrive at your table when you order. Our server didn't say a word, and just stared at him for the slightest uncomfortable second before going to retrieve it. But I really don't think that's reason enough to clock a restaurant under the chin. She may have been having a tough day, and the food arrived at our tables expeditiously. The haemul pajeon, or savory seafood pancake, is solid. It's not as great as the one at Yet Tuh since this one was a tad greasier and not as crispy on the bottom. We enjoyed a few slices, but neither of us moved to pack up the leftovers when we left. I also found their spicy mixed cold noodles, or bibim naengmyun, to be so saturated with the pepper sauce that it severely skewed any attempted balance of taste. But James found no fault with his spicy beef stew (yukgaejang), and slurped his way happily to the bottom of his earthenware pot.

Ah! I came here about 7 years ago, and was floored at the flavor of my bulgogi. My husband and I use to call this place "the great hole in the wall."This restaurant is a ways from my house, so this was supposed to be a treat for me. It wasn't. Awwww what have yall done?We were seated immediately. They have this huge temperature reading machine, that you walk through, as soon as you come in. Really high tech.My daughter and I ordered the bulgogi for 2, and my husband got the galbi beef. There were 6 sides that came out with it (banchan.) Our meals also came with soy bean soup, which was delicious. The bulgogi lacked that sweet, tender, flare, that bulgogi is known for. It was peppered to perfection though. I could tell that my daughter was disappointed as well. I told her to go ask the waitress, if we could get some galbi sai e or something to put into our bulgogi, to make it more sweeter and add flavor. She said the only had soy sauce. My husband's galbi was tough, but had all of the sweetness and flavor, that the bulgogi should have had. He just sat there eating, shaking his head in disproval, while I was sitting there shaking salt onto my food. This wasn't like anything we remembered from before.

This is the best basic korean food restaurant in Doraville. The price is so good for the amount of banchan and the food quality. I get their stir fry squid the most and their grilled fish items never disappoint. Always appreciate the service and packaging of my to-go orders!
