Doherty's Paddy Wagon

I ordered Bangers & Chips and Bailey's Chocolate Mousse online a couple of hours ahead. I arrived a few minutes early and my order was waiting for me, mousse kept cold separately from the entree.I ordered the same things a few months ago for lunch and really liked it and it did not disappoint today. Good portion sizes. Great sausage and gravy. I think the gravy is probably loaded with salt but not so much that I didn't devour it. The sausages can be a little challenging to cut with plastic utensils but better tonight when I took the order home and used real utensils.The dessert was nice and decadent, just like a dessert should be!

I really wanted to like the food, but there some hits and misses. I tried the egg roll app, the fish and chips, and the brisket melt. The egg roll app has Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and corn beef. That was yummy and would definitely try that again at a brewery to soak up some of there beer I am consuming. The melt wasn't bad. What I was most disappointed with was the fish and chips. While the batter is super crunchy and it is a thin layer, it tasted like batter for a corn dog. And I just don't want that kind of batter with my fish and chips. I don't think I'll be seeking this food truck out again.

I love Doherty's and now I love the Paddy Wagon. They are just as amazing as their restaurant. The food was cooked perfectly. The fish and chips amazing and the best I've ever had! Can't got wrong with poutine. Gravy, brisket, and cheese topped fries, need I say more? Then the brisket melt, amazing. Their brisket is always so tender. The food truck definitely meets the standards the restaurant had set and love everything I ate.

We visited this food truck at CE Barnes in Archer lodge. Soooooooo delicious! I forgot to take pictures before we started eating so the one picture I'm posting has only half of the brisket melt sandwich.We ordered an order of putine fries, 5 extra spicy habanero wings and a brisket melt where I subbed fries instead of chips. They were pretty busy so it took 20 minutes to get our food.They have an order online option too.Everything we ordered tasted perfect and we even had leftovers! This is a definite must try, if they are ever in your area!

Yum! Had a great experience with this food truck that came to our neighborhood. Friendly. Husband really liked the super rich Brisket Sandwich and Fries. I really liked my 5 wings. Would definitely seek them out in the future!

Fish and chips was on point. Perfectly battered and fried. They also make life so much easier by including packets of malt vinegar, ketchup and housemade tartar sauce of course. Plus I love their very nicely packed togo containers. Service was quick and friendly, and the food was delish. Definitely will be trying them again in the future.

Food Truck Time: The Paddy Wagon at BrueprintDoherty's Irish Pub has a food truck - The Paddy Wagon! We ordered the 1/2 fish & chips and braised brisket melt. The containers the food is served in are super neat, they have a place for sauce and silverware. The food was so good, I recommend both. Now you no longer have to travel to their Cary or Apex locations, just check out their website for the food truck schedule.

My issue with this food truck (the one located on N.C. State University's Centennial Campus) is the customer service, it feels like they're trying to nickel and dime you for everything. Whether you get a half-size ($14) or full-size fish and chips ($19), you get one small cup of tartar sauce and charge you 50 cents for each extra cup. One small cup of tartar sauce is not enough for a full-size fish and chips! And this is with their prices are already being on the expensive side of things. On top of that, their payment option puts you as automatically giving a 20% tip unless you cancel out of it. This is a food truck, fast-food, not a sit-down restaurant; 10% tip is already asking a lot, 20% is excessive in my opinion. Regarding the food itself, the fried fish was good, the fries were just okay, need much more seasoning. Part of the problem with the fries is the salt they use is in large flakes and it tends to fall off the fries. Thus the fries don't have enough salt and are fairly bland.

Omg, I'm so full I'm not sure I can comment. This is the best food truck I've tried in years. We had the Reubens egg rolls, so yummy, crispy, orgasm in your mouth with the homemade thousand island. The brisket sandwich is so delicious, the brisket is like butter in your mouth on the sourdough bread. Then the fries, O M G, fried crispy golden brown and dip on that brown gravy of love. I hate to eat until I'm sick, but shew I did tonight. Oh and the chocolate mouse, I just took a bite and the taste is so smooth and velvety. 5 STARS Paddy's Truck!!
