The Cookery at Myrtle Hill was absolutely fantastic . We sat at the bar and our server/bartender Cory was amazing. There were lots of great choices on the menu. There was a homey and vintage vibe throughout the restaurant. We also enjoyed the coffee as well . The bakery is a couple of doors down. Go visit!

I was visiting Denver and was so excited to return here for treats and a coffee. Everyone was polite and the ambiance is great. Definitely fun to return here and see that the quality is still the same years later.

This is for the bakery side: The aesthetics and customer service is 10/10. The coffee is subpar at best. I didn't love my latte. I was happy to see simple syrup was around on the bar area it make it bearable to drink half. I threw the rest, sadly.

Last minute decided to stop by to avoid traffic, and I am so glad we did! This place is a great brunch spot. We got lucky and avoided the wait and dined at the bar. This place stayed busy! Nothing about the breakfast burrito stood out, except for the size was huge! Enough for 2 to 3 servings. It was good but I don't think it is something I would order again. I do, however, highly recommend the chicken and waffles. The chicken was tender and the gravy sauce was saucy and the flavor was spectacular (insert drooling emoji). Need a quick pick me up? Order the Cortado! Creamy yet strong and went down smooth :)

Devil's Food is a cute bakery/coffee shop. They have a lot of coffee and tea offerings and multiple pastries to choose from. Staff is friendly and quick to make drinks. The inside is quaint and cute.

Long line moved quickly. Red Rocks latte was great - hints of vanilla. Ham inside croissant was too big. I couldn't tear and eat it. I got the chocolate croissant to go and they put it in a bag. Not ideal as it's just a super chocolatey mess. Also inedible (hard) the next day. Got a bag of beans go!

I had a chance to finally stop by this cute bakery in the Washington Park area last week and had a pleasant experience. This place has an extensive menu for both sweet and savory baked goods. When I was standing in line, I had a hard time deciding on which pastry to buy. Interior decors are so eye-catching as well. Everything you see inside this bakery is vintage from 1920's era. It looks like a café in Paris where famous writers like Hemingway frequented (did Hemingway like coffee at all? Am I just making that up?) Lucky me; I ended up getting two pastries with one price, by an accident. I asked for a zucchini feta croissant but the barista (who was so pleasant to me by the way) couldn't hear me well (or the blame is on me; my voice wasn't loud enough) so he put a zucchini muffin in a little brown bag which I didn't notice until I had paid for everything (I also got me a 16oz iced black tea with light ice.) When I politely/apologetically informed him of the little error, he, of course, kindly corrected it by giving me the right pastry and allowed me to keep the muffin as well. He said, "It (the muffin) is for tomorrow's breakfast!!" What a kind gesture!! Both of the zucchini pastries were delicious. I also liked my black iced tea. I believe it's earl grey if I'm not mistaken. They put some (light amount of) cream in it but this cream did the magic. I do drink earl grey with cream in it so I wonder how he knew that without even asking me. Great job!! Right next to this quaint bakery, there exists another cute shop for gift and they are connected so you don't need to go out of the bake shop to browse this gift shop. I had my iced beverage/food in my hand but the guy at the cashier didn't seem it (I wasn't really consuming any of it anyway. Oh wait, I may have sipped my iced tea but I was very careful by not spilling it!!) What a way for two businesses to coexist by having this beautiful symbiotic relationship: sip and browse!

GREAT lattes and baked goods! Note this review is for the coffee shop/store portion of devils food. They have a sister restaurant 3 doors down that has the actual food items and sit down reataurant. You can only get pastries at the coffee shop. Cute vintage vibe, it's nice to have the little store next door. I came by with my computer to work, and I will say there is not a lot of seating, so I had to wait for a table. The building itself is great with large French doors/windows out front and they open them on nice days. The group of people there were affluent and nice, and everyone working there was pleasant. The area is nice and close to wash park. They just need some more seating areas to give them 5 stars.

The bakery here is an absolute treasure in Wash Park. Everything I've had here is delicious, and I can't wait to try the rest of their buttery catalog. My only beef is that the baristas are a tad grumpy. Worth a frown for the galette, though!

A gem of a bakery in the Washington Park neighborhood. I really enjoyed the adorable, almost rustic feeling countertop surrounding the barista space. It was a lovely spot to enjoy our delicious croissants (ham and gruyere) and great coffee. We also tried the daily quiche was really tasty. My only qualm was they weren't able to heat it up. It may have been due to being pretty busy at the time we visited. Regardless, highly recommend. It's connected to a really great shop full of unique items worth checking out, too.
