"We had such a lovely experience here. The server was wonderful - very attentive. If you get nothing else - get the cauliflower. It was so delicious. It was the star of the meal and we tried many things. The tacos had good flavor but they were the least memorable item we had. Pineapple fried rice - YUM!!!I also had a phenomenal old fashioned as well. As a gluten-free person it was a carefully selected restaurant and 60% of the menu is gluten-free but another 30% could be made to be gluten-free. I was not expecting this cute, trendy, hipster, place from the unassuming front but it was wonderful. I wished that I had more time in Denver to be able to make it to their brunch; next time? The only annoying part about this is that the parking in the area is a PITA and we went during the week during the day."
"This is a plant-based vegan/vegetarian casual eatery that serves Asian fusion food. Until my new friend suggested this to be our little lunch get-together place the past Wednesday, I had no clue about its existence (or I had heard about it but the knowledge somehow fell into oblivion.) Therefore, I owe my friend huge thanks.I couldn't wait to dine here. I browsed the menu a few times online beforehand so that I wouldn't be so indecisive when I got here on the day of. Japanese Katsu Rice Bowl caught my attention but I thought I'd try to be spontaneous was my intention.I jinxed it. I got me the Katus Bowl when I got here. I mean at least that would be a great starter item to pick for my very first visit. My friend said what she likes about this place is that they serve food in a to-go container even if it's a dine-in. That way, people would not feel so obligated to finish all of their food; they can always take the rest home with them to avoid food waste. I kind of agree with this concept because both my friend and I could not finish our food as the portions here are pretty generous.I truly enjoyed my Katus Rice Bowl. At the first impression, the entire food looked salty (I simply dislike salty food.) I was wrong (and glad to be wrong!!.) Although there was a generous amount of tonkatsu sauce over the katsu part, it wasn't salty at all. And the veggies that were underneath the katsu were cooked to the perfect texture. In other words, they weren't soggy or too raw. This restaurant is surrounded by hospitals and medical offices. It must be very popular amongst those workers from those places. Although on a Wednesday that seemed typical, we were one of the few people who dined here during the peak noon lunch time. The lady at the ordering counter said that this place opened during the peak of the pandemic. I truly hope that they are getting enough foot traffic. For a restaurant that focuses on plant-based only food, they should get more accolades from people who prefer this type of diet. With that said, they have my utmost support for sure!! I'll definitely be back soon. I will try one of the noodle bowls at my next visit."

Nice service, and I enjoyed the bowls the food was platted in. It wasn't fancy by any means, but a great quick easy meal. Probably wonderful for takeout. Great garlic naan too!"
"Its great to have so many vegan options! It was hard to choose and everything sounded great. I had the Chophouse Burger with a side of mustard glazed greens. I always ask about veggie burgers because so many places serve premade frozen patties but this was not a frozen patty. The burger was delicious!"
"Little tricky to find the entrance of the restaurant but big seating inside. The receptionist was really good and provided good recommendations. Limited choices on drinksCrunch wrap - 5/5 - really tastyFries nachos with beef - 5/5 - great taste and fillingBeef taco - 3.5/5 - lacks flavor"
"The food! The sushi was nice and flavorful and just the right amount. The ramen!!!!!! Yes, i'm screaming because it was that good-too 3 in Denver periodddd"
"While visiting Denver for a conference, I had a chance to meet up with a friend who moved here from NYC and his partner. He's an excellent chef in his own right and a verified foodie, so I let him pick a place and he suggested Root Down and it was stellar.I immediately loved the vibe of the place when we walked in...bustling and fun but not shrill. The serving staff was very nice. Drinks were terrific and the food was superior. I had the fried chicken and goat cheese biscuit and could have easily eaten another serving it was so good. The fried chicken was heavenly and I loved the biscuit with the goat cheese. Everything was just spot on.My friends and I split a banana cream pie for dessert. It's not like the traditional pie you'd think of when you hear "banana cream pie" but it was delicious and we may or may not have fought over the last scrumptious bite!I really liked this place and would definitely return. If I lived in Denver, this would be in my regular rotation for sure."
"Those sweet potato fries, though! If you're looking for low carb, whole grain vegan food, look no further. We had the Twister Wrap and the Orange Cauliflower Bowl yesterday -- absolute yumminess. The Twister Wrap is a low-carb option for those of you who care, but it's the most flavorful crispy "chicken" wrap I've had in a while. You get all the textures, which makes this handheld food perfect. (You get the option of grilled or buffalo style as well.) I highly recommend the chipotle sauce option! The wrap comes with a side, and of course I chose sweet potato fries (see my note below). The Orange Cauliflower Bowl looks like real orange chicken and the mix of corn, brown rice, scramble was just the perfect mix. The knowledgeable ladies who took our orders were super accommodating and just very cool about our requests. Our food was executed perfectly. Portion-wise, were both noticing that it was just the right amount.Bonus, which gave this place a 5 stars right away was their decaf and no-sugar iced tea option: hibiscus tea. Hoping their dessert parfaits options will come sugar free some day, or at least low sugar, because I want to destroy those in the best way possible. Also, hat tip to our Uber driver who recommended the sweet potato fries (LOL). They were crispy on the outside and soft in the center. That salt, pepper, herb and cinnamon (?) sprinkle over the fries was just... wow. I'm going to try to recreate it at home because I can't stop thinking about it.Came here for dinner yesterday on a windy evening in Denver! Got specific here as I heard they're planning to expand elsewhere, so I hope they come to L.A.!"
"Ambiance: it's a trendy vegan restaurant, spacious dining space inside although it's hot and humid without air conditioning Service: friendly but so forgettable, made mistake on the drink order wrong choice of milk Food & Drink: limited items on their brunch menu Seitan Wings - *** choices of Buffalo and Orange Teriyaki flavors, made of gluten, chewy texture but not balanced taste Strawberries and Cream Waffle - *** Mascarpone cream, strawberry coulis, waffle with fresh strawberries, average taste Southern Plate - **** Cauliflower Chicken, mac and cheese, cole slaw and a side of honee hickory sauce, crispy cauliflower and tasty Mac and cheese, recommend Irish Coffee - *** Queen City coffee, house made Kahlua, Conciere Gold bourbon, topped with whipped cream, super bold taste Price: moderate to large portions depending on what you order, expect $30 per person"

They have won me back over after a couple of bad dishes. I would love to finish eating my way through their menu before I skip out of Denver, and almost have. Love the fried cornbread and pineapple fried rice the best. Plus mocktails and drinks to tempt everyone! BUT last night tried their rice pudding and that might be my new favorite! They also had drunken noodles on special and I tried the mac and cheese too, all great. Servers are good to great! You can tell a good restaurant if the staff eats there every day and still loves it -- I also heard the owner was in the kitchen which probably contributed to the food being so dang good.

This place has been on my list for awhile and I finally got to stop here for lunch the other week. So pleased to see the menu is all Asian food ranging from appetizers to bowls to noodles. I didn't come in with a game plan so I asked the cashier what was popular/good because I honestly had no idea what I was feeling. She recommended the beyond meat dan dan noodles and mentioned it was spicy, I love spicy so that sounded good.Waited a little, got the food and it was piping hot with the dan dan mixture/sauce along with some bok choy. I took a few bites and wasn't in love with it, the bok choy pieces were huge so had to cut through (was eating with chopsticks) but really the thing I noticed was an overwhelming taste of mustard which was a turn off. I was expecting the heat from the sauce which definitely was there but I couldn't get over the taste of mustard so I took the rest to go.I am a person who loves leftovers and usually excited to have them. I really had to hype myself up to have these and not throw it away. But I persevered and doctored them up with some additional veggies, spring rolls and chili oil a few days later and it was a lot better. I would come back again even though I am not a vegetarian, the reviews are amazing and the menu looks solid. I'll be sticking the bao next time around.

I thought it was about time for an updated review... 10 years later. Still to this day, after all this time, this is my favorite spot for chicken tikka masala. After I tried to find my favorite tikka masala, in 8 different countries, this is still my favorite. I am not aware of the buffet anymore but I will add the lunch chicken tikka masala stuffed me full. It is possible to share an order if you are able to be selfless with your masala. I am selfishly in love with this dish, so I don't often share. Stop driving by and stop wondering, go and see for yourself! Yums!

I just love this place! All of the food and drinks are super tasty, the service is great, the atmosphere is fun, and I love that we can get both breakfast and late night eats. My favorites on the menu are the pizza with cashew ricotta, the chorizo hash, and the breakfast burrito. When they have had nachos on the menu, those were bomb! Also got the taquitos during happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. Loved the green hot sauce it came with - spicy and flavorful.

It was just ok! I ordered a chalupa and it was overly seasoned and salty. I ate it because I was hungry but it was not good. Also, I order the fried chicken with the mash potatoes and I wasn't a fan of the taste. It was blah!I though the chicken was very good and it was crispy but everything else was a disappointment. Not sure if i recommend this place. I guess I would have to try other things in the menu but I don't know!

So I'm not vegan but I have been trying some of Yelp's Top 100 list if I end up visiting a certain city on my normal travels.I stopped in and ordered an Ebi Tempura Roll to go. OH. MY. I feel like I could be vegan and just eat this - I'd be absolutely happy with that! I sometimes lean on the picky side of eating but this could have fooled me. Whatever they used as the "shrimp tempura" was great and I would definitely order it again. Staff were friendly and service was quick. I would say though, I ordered online and it gave me a pick up time but I got a text about 20 min sooner than that, saying it was ready but I wasn't planning until arriving just before the ETA. I just get a little cautious of my food waiting so long so that was a little off putting. Other than that, would probably return on my next Denver trip!

Happy hour heaven! This place rocks! Service was speedy, food was delicious and drinks were unique and amazing. Husband and I were visiting Denver to get out of the Phoenix heat in June and received this recommendation from a bartender at a local dive bar. Spot on! I started with the Beet Down cocktail, a brilliant magenta pink gin and aperol cocktail, using a beet shrub that occurs from making their own beet dishes. It was delicious in a completely unexpected way, the beets complimented the drink perfectly. I could consume many of these! The lamb slider was a large portion which my husband devoured quickly. Mediterranean influence on the menu is on full display with this slider including bacon and tzatziki sauce. He also ordered the Devils on Horseback, a skewered dish of Bacon and Cheese with Peppadew Peppers. Also a very unusual dish and totally delectable. We split a pakora which was a roasted vegetable and sweet potato fritter. Although tasty, not as special. The dip sauce was solid though, a cilantro chutney! It is humorous that our lovely female server was so quick and efficient that we finished happy hour and were done paying the bill in under one hour. She seemed a bit shocked we weren't staying for dinner, but had to catch the patio HH upstairs at Linger while in the area. She shouldn't be too upset, I think they are sister restaurants. And no worries, Root Down is a definite must-do in Denver, I will keep it on my list for future trips!I had the Columbian arepa which was Corn Cakes, Mozzarella, Smoked Gouda, topped with poblano cream & pico. This was gooey cheesy gluten free heaven. These appetizers were all $6 to $8 and a great value. I loved the Roasted Baby Beet Salad with Goat Cheese, Hazelnuts, and Arugula. Again, I could totally eat this every week! Perfect balance of dressing and ingredients. Nice variety.
Visit Restaurant Page"Ordered takeout online. The website says delivery only, but they just mean you can't get the food from this pop-up as dine-in at the caribbean restaurant it shares a kitchen with. The Munashe Curry and Laziji Nuggets were spicyz funky, and unique, and the sesame tofu was well-executed normcore food, smart to have on the menu. Attention to detail with the branding is appreciated as well. Value was shockingly excellent for something so trendy. I'm going to make more rice and get a second meal out of the curry.Excited to see what they do next."
"This is a hidden gem. The front looks plain and when you step inside, you wonder if it's the same place. Nicely decorated with Thai decor, ample seating with real wood tables and chairs. The service was top notch as our waitress was this older lady and she was so sweet. The Thai ice coffee came in a nice glass. The calamari was a little chewy but still tasted good. We ordered the pad eggplant and the teriyaki Diamond. Both were very tasty. In the background played some lite music and my friend and I were able to converse easily. Great meal!"
"This is hands down the best Indian food I've had in the Denver area. My husband and I got takeout and shared:- Shahi Paneer- Mysore Masala Crispy Dosa- Dahi Papari Chaat- Garlic NaanEverything was delicious and full of flavor. I'd happily come back to try more of the menu."
"They're doing too much with the flavor profile. There is nothing like a simple but effective dish using unique ingredients. I think the failure here is that it is too much of a fusion concept and they throw a bunch of things together thinking they work when they in fact detract or distract from the original purpose. They try highlighting an ingredient like cassareep and curry and kefir lime but put them with ingredients that downgrade or stifle the flavor. As a once time diner so far I would like to give them a benefit of a doubt. The space itself is very cute minus the horrible portapotty doors that just gross me out honestly. No one wants to go into a portapotty willingly. They really should consider a changing the decor there. We tried the RW menu and the best thing on here was the banana 'balls' at the end. The edamame was accompanied by a jerk sauce that I found to be an inedible combination. Who wants to dunk edamame in a sauce let alone a spice rub sauce? I'd expect them to sprinkle it on top of the edamame instead of salt. I mean our neighbors in the dining room liked it so to each their own but no thank you!The cassareep flavored bowl was ok. I didn't really like the pineapple chunks which were kind of thrown in there and there wasn't enough tofu to make this a dinner portion. My sister tried the special bunny chow and it came with a raisin containing coleslaw. Again this is a personal dislike so maybe you guys like coleslaw that has raisins but not I.The bread bowl of the bunny chow was quite good. The curry saucy waffle fries were good too. The balls of banana were good especially in the chocolate sauce. The kefir lime sauce was too mild and flavorless to count. The worst thing we got was the rice pudding. It came with a fruit topping that made it sour in a bad way and the flavor profile was like the rice in the Korean dessert drink. Too mild to be comforting like a pudding.I'd like to try their doubles as a person who lived in the Caribbean but I'm afraid I'll dislike it as well. If anything you can drink some pretty drinks here."
"This little darling in Caphil will be a decade old in its location this coming August. It's been quietly sitting at the corner of North Ogden and 14th Avenue. Serving creative made from scratch clean eats to their increasing fan base. It started as a cold pressed juice company. The owner realized the place can offer more than juice due to its size. They started offering coffee, toasts, salads and more! This plant loving spot has such a welcoming vibe. We dropped by for a quick brunch which they offer on weekends. True confession. We're meat eaters but we always strive to eat healthy. So here we go! Everything we tried was honest to goodness delicious! My fave was the Thai Peanut Salad. Texture and taste was above what I expected it to be. I'm ecstatic! The Falefel Wrap. Freshly cooked falafel is the way to go! Filling and oh so tasty! The Zaatar Flatbread was company's favorite. Their bakery is vegetarian but they have lots of vegan and gluten free options. Their bakery is 100% vegan. "I can't wait to come back here! Wish more of my friends are into Indian food. This is a nicer, cleaner Indian restaurant and the food is tasty. It may not have the street specials or the desirable pastries like the huge dosas, but everything we've ordered from Fish tikka to Butter Chicken had their own flavor characteristics. I was amazed at how tender the fish was yet it didn't taste like they had used baking soda to tenderize it. The sauce is on the sweeter side for this dish. I was between Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken but since hubby got the Fish Tikka, I ultimately decided on the Butter chicken. It's so buttery and I loved the tomato flavor. Garlic naan always makes me feel like I'm in heaven. Thank you, Coriander - Golden!"
"All these top notch reviews cannot be wrong. Curry Kitchen's food is amazing on every single level. You get what you pay for; flavorful, fresh and huge portions which make for great leftovers the next day. This is a family-owned business and you will get treated well here. They have a space for dining (no outdoor seating), ample parking that's free, and also offer takeout or delivery. They're open 365 days a year. You will get hot, fresh food that will make you look forward to your next experience."
"The only thing I'm mad about is how long it took me to try this place. The flavors? Incredible. Love being able to pick the spice level since I'm a baby. We got two naans, samosas, lamb tikka, butter chicken and honey curry for 100. More expensive than some take outs? Sure? Quality and flavors worth it? 100. And we had enough for dinner and leftovers for two lunches. Will definitely definitely order again."
"This is an amazing vegan/plant-based place recommended by the owner of the Greek restaurant right across from it (I first went there to order their veggie plate. The owner then asked me if I was a vegetarian or vegan. Whereas I tend to order a lot of vegetarian/vegan dishes when I'm out, I do eat meat from time to time so answer to his question it was "No, I am not" but since he insisted that I go check out the vegan/plant-based place, not his restaurant (lol!!) I went here. And I didn't regret a bit!!)However they came up with the recipe of this dish is beyond phenomenal. The main base is the cashew milk as it is creamy. And there is this hint of sourness which I didn't know where it was coming from. But as soon as I read the ingredients I had this "Aha" moment: It's the shallot. Let's not forget about the customer service. The guy who took my order was very pleasant and welcoming. I asked him about the most popular items on the menu and he said the one I had in mind (Tofu) was definitely one of them. He also said that it's very hearty as well. To pick this dish as my very first dish at my very first visit at this restaurant was the right thing to do so I highly recommend that you get this at your first visit. Believe me, it is sooo good. If I go ahead and become frank about the tofu dish though, its portion is a bit small for the price. Also, wild rice (one of the ingredients) was barely there so my request is that the restaurant increases the amount of rice they put in this dish so that it'll be more noticeable.I really liked the succulent decoration on the wall to the right of the restaurant; it truly echoes the theme of the cuisine they offer. I simply cannot wait to go back and try other things on the menu. The next one might be the Reuben sandwich (and this is plant based as well, of course!!) Goodness, this restaurant is definitely ahead of the plant-based cuisine game for sure."
"Savage Beet was fantastic food truck experience! I can't say enough about how great a meal it was!"
"This place never fails and Always satisfying and Delicious!!!! Even the mild is super tasty! I can onyl eat hot 2 weeks outta the month to keep heatness at bay since sauna daily is my heat maxout. We tried one new thing which is the fruit mixec naan and I am hooked! A hint of sweetness! They have the best naan, aleays said it and it still stands!"
"The Spice Room did it again-amazing Indian food! We ate way too much went to bed extra full but when the food is that good how do you stop? The chicken Shahenshah is our favorite dish and we always get that with naan and we've started getting the french fries because french fries and curry is just an unbeatable combination. I'm a big fan of their Chana saag and the sag paneer also very good. In fact I've never had a bad meal there.Lately we order all of our spice room online and pick it up and eat it at home and I've been really impressed by their commitment to using sustainable packaging. Everything almost everything that they use is compostable, which is amazing."
"Im not vegan but my aunt is and she asked if we could go here for lunch so I was happy to try it.You order on a little kiosk, which was convenient. The food was a bit expensive but I know it's not normal fast food. It came out pretty quickly and everything was so good. I would have never known it's wasn't real meat. My burger did fall apart kind of easily but it was so good I didn't care!I'd definitely go back if I saw another location."
