"We had a great experience here. The Posole passed the test of my wife's expert and selective posole rating. I had the meat lover skillet and it was tasty and filling. I asked for hot sauce, and Lupe brought me multiple options...and they were very good. Chips and salsa were also good. I wish they teamed up the good food with some energetic background music, but I will go again."

This place doesn't have a price on their truck and when asked it almost felt like the lady was annoyed. I then spoke Spanish to her, just to show her I'm no gringa. I asked to try out their carne asada and its the best thing ever!!!Made with homemade tortilla, carne, cilantro and onions with limes... I had an party in my mouth. Idk what is up with Denver CO but this place seems to not like black people. Idk same attitude was given just at the other location. Bad customer service but the food was great. Would I come back, Hell yeah! Next time if the attitude is given and I'm going to give it back."
"Like chipotle but way better!! I got the bowl with the carnitas smothered in the Colorado style mix of queso and green chile pork. It was super tasty and very filling, with rice, beans, pico, salsa, and sour cream. Shout out to the cashier Elliot who was so incredibly friendly and kind. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The patio is nice but the misters were a little too intense imo. Would definitely recommend and return!"
"We came to Denver for a wrestling tournament and we were craving Mexican food. I checked on Yelp and saw all these reviews so I couldn't wait to try it. Originally, they said it would be a 45 minute wait. They were able to seat us within 15-20 minutes. Plus number 1! Steve was our server and he took our order right away. We had multiple taco orders shrimp, barria, carne asada. Then an order of enchiladas. Everything came out so hot and fresh. Steve brought us extra limes also. The tacos are amazing!!!! Of course the kids wanted the churros with Mexican chocolate. I've never had a better churro in my life! Even Disneyland can't beat the taste of these churros. We will definitely visit this place anytime we come to Denver. The ambience was cool too. Definitely fits in the with downtown vibe. Thanks Steve"
"I will dream of the smokey margarita and mole sauce. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We started with cheese dip, salsa and the cabbage - everything had great flavor. Service is quick, the place is clean. If you want tasty Mexican food this is the spot. Stand alone building with parking, might have been a pizza hut in a former life. Enjoy"
"WOW. I'm from LA and this taco truck is LEGIT. I sampled 3 kinds of tacos and they were soooo good. Sweet people. I can't wait to come back here. Also there's a ratchet ass bar next door you can go get it on the dance floor while you wait."
"A fun place. I mean, the ambience is primitive, but that doesn't bother me in the least. It adds to the charm. It's Mexican bar food but with a bit more attention paid than just throwing some chips and salsa in a pile. The sauces seem homemade, the tortillas have a nice fresh texture and the meat is properly cooked and well seasoned. Look at the drizzle of crema in some other pics! Props for using crema. Don't use a 13 year old reviews of the fish tacos. One last thing--are the staff young party people? Maybe! But I am here to party so that's not a problem at all. Enjoy the funky vibe and the well made food and have a tequila for me."
"I stopped in today with my wife and our fiancé as we were shopping at the Army Surplus store right across the street. I love eating at places I've never been before. The building is well maintained, bright, open and airy feeling. I really enjoy the colors and the artworks on the walls. Our waitress was lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. She had chips and salsa on our table as well as our drink orders taken within a minute of being seated. Our food was hot, fresh, well prepared and the portion sizes were just right. The queso was especially tasty and the chips were fresh. I wanted to try everything so we all ordered something different and shared. I will absolutely be back as I enjoyed the food and the experience very much. Ps. The fact we were a same sex female couple was very obvious and our waitress treated us perfectly normal. This place is lgbtq friendly."
"Had lunch with the gals and I ordered a mojarra frita. Was dreaming of it and had it plain with no tortillas or sauce. They fried it to perfection and it was so delish. The avocados were yum and not mushy. The tomato was fresh and crisp. Fries were well seasoned and not too salty which I appreciate. The server brought a plate for bones. And the rice this time had a great flavor. It was cooked in something because the taste was infused in the rice. Clean and bright in the restaurant. And they turned the air down a mite as it was freezing. Server polite and friendly. So glad we came,"

TIP: call ahead and pick up your order so you don't have to wait! We're from Texas so we're all about breakfast burritos and tacos. Chuladas nails the breakfast burrito game. Hole in the wall vibe with hole in the wall prices. What's not to love! We tried the steak fajita and the chorizo. If you can handle some spice, get it hot. We got both hot and medium and the hot wasn't spicy! The steak fajita is saucier and has peppers and onions inside. The chorizo is your standard - full of flavor. Two great options! The only thing that would make the burrito better is crispy hash brown type potatoes inside and some homemade hot sauce! I'm asking for hot sauce next time. Can't wait to come back!

Not pictured were the Quesabirrias which are fantastic! I basically drank the Consome and added the green sauce all over my tacos. Takes about 10 minutes after ordering at the food truck and always comes packaged up with the sauces.

What a great filling meal, im a big eater and i took home 1/4 of my burrito and enough to make a great omlet the next morning. We also tried the rolled tacos that were very good but pretty thin in meat. Inside plenty of seatting and tv to see sports

I came here with a girl friend on a Friday night around 7:30pm. We were able to get a seat right away on the roof top. *Stairs only It took a while for a waiter to come up to us but that was okay because we were catching up. Started with some drinks and they were delicious, bare in mind the spicy marg.. is spicy. lol My quesadilla was delicious. It had a little kick and was very filling. The tacos were also yummy with the shrimp taco being the favorite. I did take off one star because of the stairs only, and bathroom. Only one stall was available and there was a big line. This is a great date night spot or group hang out. The did have table that were big enough for six people. Overall 4/5 stars!

The complementary chips and salsa were tastyI got the three cheese enchiladas. It looked like a lot of food but I could eat it in one sitting. It was aiight. I added a ton of green chile cholula which made it tasty. This place has lots of seating and slightly more parking than its neighboring restaurants. Nice server.

Food was great and service was even better! The portions are generous and they were not stingy with the sauces which a lot of places are. We ordered the Al Pastor, Lengua and Asada, all were delicious and the meat was very moist. If you're craving tacos then give them a try!

Had a great experience here last night, drinks and chicken nachos, friendly helpful staff and a chill atmosphere sitting at the bar!
Visit Restaurant Page"I had not been to Efrain's in Lafayette for an extended period and sought it out before attending a Louisville Street Faire rainy night. Lafayette has a fun downtown area, plenty of options, parking, and safe surroundings.Luckily, they did not have a wait on a Friday night, snaring the lone available table after quickly getting a parking spot in their private lot. Efrain's always had a good neighborhood vibe, and this was no exception--average noise level. Excellent service from the onset, chips and their terrific red salsa on our table within minutes, and then a guacamole order to add to the appetizer! Our server was so pleasant and helpful and was kind throughout the visit.I ordered the Steak San Lorenzo, veering from my usual Mexican food choices, and I am glad I did. It was as delicious as I had hoped, craving a spicy dish with solid tastes. Perfectly cooked; I loved the veggies, and everything was yummy."
"Lol omg, came here after a hard day of handling the daily trash thrown at me. Let me say... the staff here is great. When I say, I came in with my husband and we were ready to drink and eat happy hour food... we came and conquered. We enjoyed the strong margs, glad I didn't get the gigantic one. Maybe another day. I liked the fried tacos, and we ordered the chicharrones and dipped these little guys in the green chili and the queso!! Whew. Don't doubt it, just try it. Just call it the low carb option. However, my husband can smash through their chips and salsa like a beast. I literally saw him destroy 2-3 baskets himself. I had to stop cause my jaw started hurting. I see the other people talking trash about this places food, but I would definitely come here and eat again and enjoy the food and drinks. No questions. No wonder why I see so many locations around town. Oh, and even when they're busy. They're quick on service. Give it a try, they're just friendly folk."
"Excellent food and extremely fast service. My first time here. I ordered the Birria taco quesadilla with the consommé and it was delicious, and very filling, I could only eat half of it! Little hole in the wall, but very clean and well kept."
"Still a great place for tacos and carnitas. It's great to see the original owner is still cooking and running around! I was hoping to get my usual buche tacos, but we were informed that they no longer serve buche as the new population of the very much gentrified neighborhood isn't interested in the popular and traditional Mexican food. I'm hoping my review speaks to the new tenants of the neighborhood in hopes that other things such as menudo doesn't also fall off of the menu. Instead of contributing to the fall of a historically Latinx/Xicano neighborhood, I ask that you please support, uplift, and uphold the traditions (in this case, food) of the area."
"A review of take-out breakfast burritos only, during the time of Covid-19.A solid 4 stars.Very warm welcome at the counter.A delicious breakfast burrito with potato, egg, cheese, chorizo. I asked for muy picante and received medium (in my opinion). We walked to the park and ate ours sitting at a picnic table.Covid-19 safeguards in place: glass barrier at order/pay station, masks required (and worn) on both sides, customer occupancy limit."
"This place is decent! Not the best/fanciest atmosphere but the one time I've been there it was surprisingly good for 3people! Friendly staff and timely service. If the food remains the same each time. I could easily make this spot a go to when in the mood for Mexican food!!"
"This is some of the tastiest Mexican food I've found in Denver. The tacos birria were recommended to us and they were definitely fantastic, perfectly crispy, flavorful and tender beef, delicious sauce and the perfect melty cheese on top. The fajitas were also fantastic with really tender, tasty and nicely browned meat, and generous portions of the fixings, especially guac! We'll certainly be back, this restaurant is a great spot."
"Stumbled upon this place because we were hungry, and it was one of the only open places for food in the area. It's located on the top floor of Avanti Food and Beverage. You order at the walk-up counter and then they will text you when your order is ready. When we got the text they forgot our chips and queso but it was an easy fix. We ordered the chips and queso but we got the chilis on the side. I also had the KFC taco and the barbacoa taco. The KFC is Korean fried chicken, basil slaw, kimchi cucumbers, spicy soy and garlic sauce. The Barbacoa brisket is slow cooked Oaxaca style beef, avocado salsa verde, cucumbers, red onions and serranos. We chose to sit outside on the rooftop which had a semi decent view looking towards Denver. They also have a fire pit to sit around and games you can play out there. For the food I enjoyed the chips and queso. The queso was unlike anything I've had. It had a different flavor than I am used to, but it was delicious. The two tacos I had I enjoyed but I should have taken the peppers off of one it was on the spicy side but it added a nice kick. The tacos are big for sure. Make sure to grab some extra napkins. The horchata Chai came in handy to cool off my mouth."
"If you're looking for a patio on Tennyson and some good food this is the place for you! They also have misters to help with any hot temps. I came here with my boyfriend during the hot days we've been having and grabbed a margarita and some dinner. The food was great and the margs were even better haha. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was awesome. Definitely check this place out and grab a tasty marg:)"
"Fritangas La Pili only has 5 reviews so far. That says to me that they haven't been "discovered" yet. Still, all of the reviews to date are 5 star, and I'm not going to break their perfect record. It's really a pretty amazing place - they need to get discovered.Don't be put off by outward appearances. Fritangas La Pili sits in an aging strip mall in the Athmar Park neighborhood. The strip mall might best be described as somewhere between "nondescript" and "has seen better days." It's surprisingly large once you enter although not all of the space is dining room. The furnishings are simple and the dining room is clean and bright. Our service was very kind and gracious.Honestly, I don't remember 99% of the menu. All I remember is the Machete. That's all I need to remember. Westword described a Machete as "a long, oval corn tortilla cooked to order on an oiled griddle and folded lengthwise over a variety of meat and vegetable fillings." By long, they meant something like 14 inches - literally. It's filled with traditional fillings of various proteins, vegetables and cheeses. Choose one, two or three fillings. If you choose multiple fillings, they are side by side, not on top of each other. Go for it - choose three - it's like three 4-5 inch separate Machetes when you trisect it. As I recall, the price for three fillings was something like $15. Realistically, because of the size, consider it $7.50 for each of two amazing meals. And I can't forget the salsa bar - fresh, obviously homemade with varying degrees of bite, and all delicious. So Yelpers, Fritangas La Pili needs to get discovered. Consider the lesson of the truffle - if you're not put off by the "outside" there is great treasure on the inside. As the humble truffle goes, so too Fritangas La Pili ..."
"El Sampa has been my go to taco place for the last 6 or so years and it's always a place I go to when I have my taco fix. They have a lot more than tacos as well and have a bar that serves huge margaritas and beers at a great price. My personal favorite is their steak and al pastor tacos. Their quesabirria is also delicious and comes with consome that you can dip your tacos in. This is such a great spot and all the friends I've brought here have loved it! The food comes out quick, service is great and it's a no frills kind of spot, so don't come here expecting to be catered to. Go up to the counter, order something and sit down!"
"A large selection of tequilas and mescal awaited me. Superb margaritas, made the way I asked for it. Tacos are good. Fish Taco, was delicious, as was the carne asada -- I don't think you can go wrong with any of the tacos. All are very solid traditional well made tacos at a reasonable price. Quick service. Cool bartender. Well done."
"This place was hard to find. Google maps took me to Lamar's donuts. I almost gave up but they had a sign in the driveway advertising tamales so I figured they must be there. I found this restaurant by the urgent care center. It was a small location, no seating inside or out. So Yelp is wrong about outdoor seating available, unless you want to sit on the sidewalk curb. The steak tacos were so yummy! And the hot salsa was delicious as well. Spicy and flavorful but not burn your face off hot. I can't wait to try more."
"Coming on a Wednesday night for date night and we didn't need a reservation. Being from Southern California this is very decent California Mexican food (not traditional Mexican food). Love the theme of the restaurant - very beachy and reminds me of home!! They have indoor and outdoor patio seating, we were seating almost immediately. Our server was on top of it! Bringing out our drinks and food very quickly! It all tasted quick good and had delicious flavor. I did take off one star because of the the strange fees along with the lack of chips and salsa. That is pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant.Overall I would come back! 4/5 stars"
"I've driven past El Taco De Mexico so many times and didn't visit until recently. We stopped by for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning and were able to find a table easily. The service was super quick so it was not an issue that they were busy with limited seating. The smothered potato breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious! It was a large burrito and could be easily split. I also enjoyed the horchata. It's a local Mexican spot that is no frills but I loved my experience and will certainly be back."
"We absolutely love this establishment. The location is convenient to get to and the food is always hot and ready quickly. My favorite is the California burrito with pico on the side and my husband always gets their Carne Asada fries. You will not be disappointed."
"I have never had a torta from any other place but I an say this place has incredible tortas. My favorite is the Nortena. Packed with tender meats, messy and melts in your mouth. So good. And the portions are huge! I love their new location in Glendale. Easy to stop in and grab lunch. The staff is always super friendly and they are quick. Highly suggest this place."
