"It had gotten late and we were so hungry. We selected this restaurant because they appeared to be open until 10 PM. When we said we wanted to dine in, we were told they were closing at 9:30. That still gave us ample time to eat. This place is along a row of international restaurants. Inside, it's not huge, but it's cozy and clean. The Gyros plate was large and came with a salad. The presentation was beautiful. The ingredients were obviously fresh, and the meal was delicious."

"Loved this place and it is only a few blocks from the Hampton Inn Speer Blvd.They have pork souvlaki, which is very hard to find in the United States. My wife loved the Greek Salad and I enjoyed the Gyro Combo with fries and drink. The fries have a wonderful seasoning, highly recommended.The owner is very friendly and he takes a lot of pride in his cuisine and we loved the background music.If we ever return to Denver, this is the first restaurant we would come back to!!!"

"A local favorite and a historical location, this spot seems like it has maintained its hole-in-a-wall stature, interior is old and worn off. Despite that the place has lots of recognition and accolades displayed on their wall. But the outdoor seating they have, looked so new and modern, best part of the restaurant.The breakfast items we tried were okay. Lemonade was decent. Pancakes were not so good. Service is okay. Dishes came out within a short time. We were happy to have checked mark this iconic spot but probably not the best experience we imagined."

"The place was empty when we arrived accept for on person finishing his bill settlement. We stood at the counter a few minutes looking at the menus on the counter. A pleasant woman emerged and as if we wanted anything and we said we wanted to eat i . We grabbed the menu and chose a table. She appeared to be working alone. We were finally able to order after about 10 minutes and were given drinks from the cooler. Doesn't seem full service but it was Monday at 1:30 so maybe no staff??The food to me was average in taste. I might try the lamb next time if in the area. I wasn't impressed as some reviewers with the ambiance or the food. The prices are reasonable so it's worth a visit and let your tastebuds decide."

"Love Byblos and never disappointed. The gyros are some of my favorite and don't sleep on the garlic dip as a side. Drool worthy! The baklava is also a great way to end the meal. Very easy to order online and the service is impeccable. Not only are the extremely fast, they are the absolute nicest!! Byblos, thank you for being such a great, tasty option in our neighborhood."

"This is definitely an underrated hidden gem. My boyfriend has been praising about the quality of this place ever since he started working in the area and I finally got the chance to to try out their wonders! I got the gyro platter and he got the falafel platter. The gyro platter had so much food I had to get my boyfriend to finish the rest. Everything was so good and packed with flavor there was never a dull moment eating it. The gyro meat can sometimes be dry but not this one! I also tried a bite of my boyfriend's falafel and it was SO good. I haven't had too many to judge, but according to him, it's the best falafel he's ever had on his life."

"When I utilized this business a little while back, I really didn't have a great experience; it was mostly not so great service where the lady who assisted me had no friendliness in her facial expression or words she uttered. My daughter who recently got a takeout from here pretty much agreed with me when it came to service (although she absolutely enjoyed the food itself.) I, however, believe in giving people or businesses a second chance so I went here just the other night to get myself a quick dinner (to which my daughter accompanied me.) To my surprise, I had a much better experience this time. The male worker upfront immediately greeted us upon arrival; he was polite with professionalism. He didn't rush me in any way; he patiently waited until I knew what I wanted. Once I had told him what I wanted he immediately transacted the order to which I settled the tab. While I was waiting for my food, I took the time to look around the restaurant to notice everything inside the it. The restaurant was very clean. The long/skinny layout of it is somewhat modern. It also has a good size patio seating. All the way back to the end (east side of it) there is a party area/room. It appears it can possibly hold 30-40 people. There was a customer who dines here on a regular basis (he also identified himself a friend to the business owner) and he friendlily spoke to us as he noticed us when walked in. He was sort of acting like the spokesperson of the restaurant and he said to talk to the manager if we had any questions or problems with anything with this place as the manager/owner truly cares about their customers' needs and satisfaction. What a nice guys!! After 10-15 minutes, my food was finally ready. At home, I immediately started my meal. Let's get to the main topic of this review: the food!!!Vegetable samosas: my daughter made a recommendation on this. When it comes to samosas I like chunky/dense ones. This restaurant makes their samosas thin. They tasted good but I still like my samosas made chunky stuffed with all kinds of ingredients with more density. These are 7 out of 10.Kari Pakora: Lemony curry with a good amount of kick (its spiciness is quite noticeable.) Unlike other typical curries, this one is not as heavily stewed so the texture is closely resembling to soups (more like) so in that sense, it's a light curry. I've never had a curry like this and I dig this very much; 8.5 out of 10 (the rice that accompanied the curry had a lot of saffron in it. In a way, I like my rice more plain so that it's not too overpowering to kill the flavors of the curry. It wasn't bad though!)To conclude my experience this time, it was quite good; 8 out of 10 for everything I had experienced. This place definitely made the list of my favorite Indian restaurants in Denver for sure."

So, make sure you have extra time in-between whatever you need to get to while coming here."

"First time this year at Pete's original restaurant off Alameda Ave @ Pearl Street. I was pleasantly surprised that their prices did not increase. When I arrived at 5:30pm, there was only 1 other occupied table. During my stay they almost filled up their 7 2-person tables and several larger tables. They have a west facing patio for summer. They offer a wide selection of vegetarian & meat filled Greek entrees. I got the Spanakopita appetizer, 2 spinach & feta cheese pockets with Iced tea. Very nice with lots of spinach. I next had Avgolemono (lemon-rice) soup. I had the ground beef version of Mousaka with potatoes, eggplant, bechamel sauce and topped with a tomato sauce. A very large portion. I got a greek salad and pita bread. Too full for dessert, but I recommend their baklava."

"Uptown & Humboldt is a special place. I've seen every iteration of them over the years. From food trucking and meal prepping to hotel brunching and food stalling, these cats have been ALL OVER the Greater Denver metro area sharing their culinary creativity with the masses.You'll be hard-pressed to find anyone kinder and more passionate about the community more than Gio and his business partner, Hayden. The ethos of Uptown & Humboldt stems from their travels around the world and their culinary adventures. The end result is nothing short of damn delicious food.The current menu revolves around their gyros and burgers. You can't go wrong with anything you try. The FMB and Berlin burgers are absolutely delicious. On my most recent visit I went with my favorite order: the Lamb Gyro and Yuca Fries. This combination is magnificent. The lamb tender and the gyro filling. The yuca fries somehow steal the show every time, with the garlic cilantro aioli in th running for most addictive side sauce in Denver.PRO TIP: wash it down with a Pineapple Basil Agua Fresca. It puts all other agua frescas to shame. Splurge on the drink, IT'S BEYOND WORTH IT.If you're at their food stall at Zeppelin Station, you'll be kicking yourself if you don't try anything from their newer tapas menu. The two standouts are the Truffle Manchego Croquettes and the Pistachio Whipped Feta. Just take my money and call it a day.If you find their food truck and they happen to be serving breakfast burritos, order one. Actually order seven. In the breakfast burrito-obsessed world of Colorado, theirs are TOP TIER. These are craveworthy. Like going out in a blizzard craveworthy!I'm one of Gio and Hayden's biggest fans. They've accomplished so much in a short period of time, but I have a feeling they have big things on their horizon. Wonderful people, excellent food, and a burning desire to do good in this world. If that isn't the recipe for success and happiness, I don't know what is."

"Kalita is a solid gyro spot with decent prices, great portions, and excellent flavor. I was impressed by the grilled chicken salad, which was juicy and had two full skewers of chicken. The baklava was laminated to perfection! While the gyro meat was good, it paled in comparison to the chicken. The kalita wrap comes with fries in it, which threw me off a bit. I loved the hot sauce and used it on my chicken salad, too."

Whenever I get my delivery, I'm always worried that they will mess up my order, but that has never happened here."

"The place was packed on a weekday for lunch. I see why. The food is good, filling, tasty and reasonably priced. Did I mention it is a family owned business -- it was clear to me, as I stood in line, there are a bunch of a regular customers. The place has clearly stood the test of time. As to the food, the gyros platter was exceptional, cooked perfectly, served warm and it hit the spot. Came with fries, Greek salad with Dolmas and freshly grilled pita. The falafel appetizer was alright -- way too much coriander than I expected or am accustomed to. Service was fast. Lots of take out orders. Lots of dine in. Yianni's is certainly worth a visit when you want to try Greek."

"This is the perfect post concert spot to grab a bit when you're feeling hungry. It's located right in between the Fillmore and Ogden so it can get quite busy at night (but so are the other nearby restaurants). Seating is limited and isn't always cleaned after a customer sits there but it's good when you're hungry.The food was delicious. The fries with the spice is just tasty on its own without any condiments. The gyro sandwich was very filling and every bite was even and very flavorful. The baklava ice cream was also super rich and creamy. Not overly sweet but just right."

"This tiny Greek/Lebanese restaurant opened 15 years ago is what I heard from Kal, the manager onsite (in charge) with whom I interacted when I went there past 6:30 to place a to-go order. I had passed by this restaurant umpteen times in the past. Why did it take so long before I finally got a chance to try it is definitely a question I asked myself today. It's okay; I patted my shoulder that I finally went to check it out today after many years of procrastination!!Kal (I mentioned earlier in this review) is hilarious! He, first of all, welcomed me as soon as I stepped in the restaurant like a peppy/talkative macaw! Once I knew what I wanted, I walked up to the register and told him my choice of plate. Unfortunately, the restaurant was about to close so he told me they had run out of the tabbouleh that was part of the plate. Too bad! I decided to go with one of the sandwiches (something easygoing) instead and a side of grape leaves dolma (4 pieces). While I was waiting for my food, Kal and I talked more. He asked me about my cultural background and this led us to talk about fresh seafood as I'm from Japan and he used to live in Boston. He definitely made me laugh; he entertained me like a stand up comedian!The food didn't take long. I waited for maybe 5 minutes at the tops. Kal said to order ahead (by calling in) next time and insisted me on taking the to-go menu as he truly wanted me to come back for the plate I couldn't get tonight. And the food?-Shawarma in a pita wrap (beef) was ridiculously delicious! The meat, lettuce and tomato were all impeccably marinated in the tzatziki sauce and is surprisingly so light despite the look of it. -Dolmas (4 pieces) - I've been to a similar restaurant where they serve dolmas and their dolmas were a bit too oily. This restaurant's dolmas are nothing like that. Perfect amount of oil makes their dolmas perfectly moist. This is now my go-to place for dolmas when I get a craving for it. I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu!"
