It's great to have a top tier steakhouse in Cypress. When we don't want to drive to downtown this is a great destination for a delicious steak. The service is great and the deserts are awesome.

This week, I visited Dario's for the first time as the occasion was to celebrate Houston Restaurant Weeks with 2 friends for lunch. It wasn't too busy when we arrived so getting a table was easy. It's a nice looking restaurant inside with some outside seating also available and features a full bar. From the HRW menu, I chose the Boston salad followed by filet mignon tips for the main and then chocolate cake to finish all for $25. The salad arrived less than 10 minutes later and with the first bite I noticed it was served at room temperature and not cooler like normal. The salad tasted good and had more nuts like pecans than average. The salad was fine except for the temperature (3). The filet mignon tips were served over mashed potatoes with green beans. I liked the taste however some of the beef tips were chewy with some sinew while other tips were tender (3). Not your typical filet mignon experience. Finally the dark chocolate cake was rich, flavorful and delicious (5). The frosting was perfect. Loved it! Finally during the meal our waiter seemed to stay busy with a couple of other nearby tables but not very visible at ours. For some reason other restaurant staff took more care of us than he did. This included the manager on duty. The 3 of us agreed that we didn't feel the love as much as we would have liked. I was debating on whether this was a 3 or 4 star Yelp experience and could have gone either way. When my bill arrived I noticed a charge of $4.15 for the iced tea I ordered. $4.15 for iced tea? Seems a little excessive to me. $4 is too high to begin with and then why add another .15c??? That made my 3 star decision easy. Looking at their regular menu it appeared that many of their entrees are a little expensive especially for the area. I might return however with their prices I would want to be sure my experience was commensurate for what I paid for.

We came for Thanksgiving and they had a choice of traditional meal or steak. I went with the steak and had the prime rib. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The service was right on and very attentive. The sides were pretty big, I was full all day! I liked the creme brulee but it had ginger in it I think and that part wasn't my favorite. Highly recommend for a nice dinner for any occasion.

I came here for restaurant week and I really enjoyed their menu. Their bread basket was phenomenal, there was white bread and cornbread that came out nice and warm with a side of whipped butter. For my first course I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp over lentils, it was delicious! I wish it came with more than two I inhaled it' My second course was the pork chop cooked medium with a demi glaze, a potato and a green bean side. It was good, so tender and a really good portion. I will have to say it was on the saltier side but still very good. The third course I ordered the strawberry cheesecake which was good, nothing special about it. I was able to taste a few other dishes like the wagyu meatball starter which was nice and tender. I think the fish was the best thing on the menu for restaurant week here the sauce paired so well and the fish was cooked to perfection. I would definitely come back here, they were a bit understaffed on a Wednesday afternoon which was pretty busy. The service was still very good, we were well taken care of by everyone.

Great service, great food and company. This restaurant is Wonderful. Immediately seated and waited on by a great waiter that is knowledgeable of the entire menu and history of the restaurant. This place did not disappoint one bit. The drinks were always filled and and food made to order. The decor was very tasteful and welcoming. The food itself was by far exceptional. I wish they delivered ugh!! I would highly recommend this to anyone!!! Try it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

I cannot say one good thing about this place. From the poor service to the lack of quality, flavorful food. Just skip this place and try anything else.

My girlfriend and I went to Dario's for the first time on Saturday. We didn't have any expectations at all because we had seen the location for a long while yet neither had ever been. I don't post reviews ever but the experience left us both feeling insulted even after the great food, so I felt obliged to provide feedback on the importance of how one bad seed can ruin a full customer experience. When we arrived at around 8:00 PM on Saturday night, the place was moderately busy. We were met almost right away by the hostess who said it would be a few minutes to clear a table as we did not have reservations. We decided to get our drinks started at the bar. The bar was small but not overly crowded. The bartender did not greet us immediately and once he did, it was a cold start for sure. No smile. No welcoming statement. I almost felt like I had interrupted him from something other than his job as a bar tender. I shrugged it off and asked if there was anything good open on the backline in the way of a red wine. Thinking he would gladly offer up something tasty he was wanting to finish off vs opening a new bottle, he basically said he had a lot of reds and seemed perturbed with my lack of specificity. I said a cab would do and again he said he had a lot of cabs. At that point I was over it and asked him to simply throw one of them in a glass for me as my girlfriend perused the cocktail menu.He did without offering any details or insight to what I was getting. That was fine by me because I realized this man was not keen on conversation and I surely didn't want to force anymore on him than I already did. However, when my girlfriend asked him what he suggested in a sweeter, fruity variety of a mixed drink- he surprisingly had even less input yet was twice as rude. He said he didn't have a clue what to suggest for her drink, but if we gave him some time he could think of something. I took exception to that immediately and not having touched my glass of wine yet was just about to excuse us both and take my date to McDonalds - where the attitude would be 100% better without a doubt. Before I could finish the thought, the hostess quickly swept in and said our table was ready and assured us our drinks could be settled at the table. As we sat at the table waiting on her drink we both agreed the experience at the bar was absolutely one of the worst we ever had in any kind of establishment, to say the least one touted as being upscale and high-end.The saving grace would be the quality of the food and the attitudes of our servers and the managers as we enjoyed our meals. The drink the bartender made was the bomb! It was delicious and on point and deserved a second round. The flavors of the food and the drinks quickly erased the bitterness at the bar. To the point we talked it over and realized we may have walked up on a moment where the bartender was just rushed in series of chaotic orders and we may have added to that stress by not having specifics in our orders. So we decided to stop by on our way out and thank him for the drink he made. BAD IDEA! It was the equivalent of asking the SOUP NAZI for more bread (see SEINFELD for the relevance). The bartender was clearly just a sour grape and full of bitters by nature. His attitude had not changed at all. It was now close to 9:30 PM and the bar was even less busy as we left. He didn't acknowledge us at all as we walked up and were within 4 feet from where he was standing. We stood there waiting for eye contact so we could actually thank him for his effort but it never came. To the point where when the bartender came back to within a few feet of us, another server standing next to me had to flag him down to get his attention. The bartender's sharp glare at his co-worker spoke a thousand words but not enough for this sour rag of a service worker because he felt the need to scold the other server with a quick jab of "I KNOW!"Feeling the need for more insult we stood our ground and told the barman how we enjoyed the drink and thought it was perfect. When my date asked him what it was he dribbled out something in the way of, "I don't know. Some of this and whatever of that". You know that feeling a line cook must get 5 minutes before closing and a bus load of high school football players shows up to order everything on the menu? That was the look on this guys face as we showed our appreciation to him.Well Barman....never again. I would rather drink sour milk from a dirty glass offered by someone who was courteous in their work than your $14 glass of cabernet "shut up and go away" or your $16 martini with a twist of sourpuss and shot of absolute disdain.Dario's will need to weigh the cost benefit of having a person who is great at making drinks over having a drink maker who is great at being a person. I know which one I want to give my money to next time. Go to Dario's for great food. But be like a lawyer and pass the bar.

My husband and I have been here multiple times but this was by far the worst experience we have had here. It started with walking in and no one greeting us for about 3 minutes. That would not have been so bad if they hadn't walked by us a few times and completely ignored us. We finally get seated and no one comes to the take for 5 minutes at least. We place our order and finally get told after waiting for 40 minutes that there was a mistake. All this while watching many people who got sat AFTER us, receive their meals. When we finished the waitress lays our check on the table and walks away. Didn't offer us dessert or coffee, NOTHING. This is not the customer service I expected for what they charge. Do not think we will return.

Went yesterday to bet the Valentines rush. You would think the staff would be prepared because they do a yearly Valentines special, here's what I experienced:1) Wife wanted a T-Bone Steak. They were out at 7:25pm2) Drinks were bland but pricey 3) I ordered the Ribeye ' MEDIUM ' , and it was presented at the table. Well done and cool to touch with no natural Au Jus. Steak was returned, and I didn't have time to reorder because I had to be up at 4am. I am highly disappointed. The table next to me had a complaint because they stated they waited two hours for their second course from the Valentines Special! And trust me, this is not a troll post, I have eaten at Groupo Herrera Restaurants since 2006 / 2007 when this location was the original version of Alicia's!I am a regular customer at Alicia's !For a high in restaurant, they need to get it together! Premium price should equal premium food !

Dario's has truly earned a review even from a review Scrooge.I have been dining here for years. I am hesitant to do reviews because so much seems to change in the restaurant business. But Dario's has stood the test of time to offer an elevated, exquisite dining experience. Let's be honest- inflation is a b*|+# & I'm selective as to what I'm investing in. If I'mpaying, if like the gratitude to be reciprocated.Plus, despite hard times, it's important to try to embrace a night out here & there, to keep living, laughing & clinking those glasses to a Toast! And Dario's is 9 out of 5 stars! They have consistently demonstrated a:* Passion for delicious entrees & appetizers* Amazing service; professional yet approachable (I love how professional they are!)* beautiful ambiance; lighting & atmosphere * customer 1st - I truly feel welcome, appreciated & full each visit These qualities, in so many restaurants, are a lost art. Great Food & fellowship make the world go round so Cheers to Dario's for staying the course! Tonight I had the fresh oysters. I usually only order oysters from restaurants that specialize in freshly flown in oysters (the Loch, Amalfi's, etc) but decided to try the fresh oysters since the Rockefeller oysters at Dario's did not disappoint last week. They were Fresh, Clean, Presented beautifully & delicious w/2 different accompaniments & horseradish. Even better, unlike Pappadeaux, I didn't have to beg for crackers I was immediately given in tact, wrapped, tasty crackers Oyster goers understand what I mean...I also adore the Dario's salad, Lamb Shank, Sea Bass & I'm crazy for the Lobster Bisque Warm, fresh complimentary bread & whip butter are also served but my husband eats right away so it didn't make the pic So if you're like me & work hard all week, eating whatever to get by, so you wanna really enjoy your weekend dining with those you love - Dario's is a Perfect choice! The steaks also look amazing, so I plan to try 1 day.* * * My only suggestion is to amp up the dessert selection. Foodies who like such dining - well, we Love GELATO! Add some fresh Gelato & live music on Thursdays or the weekend & you'll have us kicking down the door Bravo Dario's & thank you for curating such fantastic food selections & keeping a staff that compliments every aspect of fine dining!
