Best BBQ I have had in ATL yet. Got the 1/4 dark chicken plate with Mac & cheese and potato salad sides. The BBQ sauce was on point and tastier than the "other guys" that everyone recommends (hint: bros in the name). The potato salad reminded me of my mom's recipe. The Mac & cheese was okay a bit dry for me. Only negative of the meal was the corn bread and next time I would prefer a slice of white bread. Also had some peach cobbler and that was absolutely delicious. There was a 60 minute wait given it was 4th of July but I would say it was worth the wait but next time I will order ahead.

Parked in their lot and went across the street to the bottle store before grabbing dinner from them and I was gone not 5-10 mins. And I come out to this. That is crazy how fast they want to call on someone. Oh well. Forever will I know this place for calling to boot my car for being parked for 5 mins in their empty lot. Triffling... !

I came to this location because a few years ago I tried it and enjoyed. I wanted to continue to support them since a couple streets over DAS BBQ decided to build. Today however, I was disappointed. For one, the pricing on the menus is not what you pay and in addition to tax you pay a 10% unknown service fee. The food: I asked what's fresh and of course the lady said everything and I should have known then there was a reason there was zero customers. I ordered chicken and ate it in my car. The chicken was clearly thrown in the fryer to make it hot. I ran a bbq restaurant many years and literally disciplined cooks for cutting corners and that's exactly what they did. I know the taste of fried skin all day long. If I wanted fried chicken I would have gone down the street. I suggest keeping proper warmers or something. You don't know what a persons dietary needs are and serve them fried when they are unaware is very negligent. I'm a champion for small businesses and will continue to be one but I also believe in giving honest constructive feedback. Do better. Please do better

Went in on a Thursday afternoon around 4:30. Only about three other customers. Placed my order and waited patiently. I was not disappointed at all. Food was excellent! Portions were good and food well seasoned and tasty. Can't wait to come back. This is an oldie but goodie!

The best customer service I've received during my trip to ATL. The staff was patient, kind, and welcoming. The food was delicious. I loved the ribs and chicken plate. I highly recommend the Arnold Palmer (tea/lemonade mix). The pit master came out introduced himself and took time communicating with all customers dinning.

I was visiting from California, The customer service was amazing, the food was good, the restaurant is a hot mess, it's needs a remodel, it's not aesthetically pleasing, I walked in and it felt like 2005, no air on one side and when you enter the order side it's cooler but fans are blowing so I started to sweat, this place could be so popular if it got a remodel, it has potential, the location is great and the bougie joint up the street that is aesthetically pleasing lacks in comparison.

While visiting ATL, I read Daddy D'z was a must try for any BBQ fans, and it did not disappoint! From the outside it looks like many of the bbq joints I've visited in Texas; An unassuming building with smoker in the back. Plenty of parking on site. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed with Southern hospitality. All of the staff and pit master were super friendly. They specialize in smoked ribs, so we ordered one slab with two side orders. This set us back $38.00. The menu also features usual fare such as brisket, sausage, and turkey. One thing I've never seen before is they offer turkey ribs. Maybe I'll try them next time. For sides we chose coleslaw and mac & cheese. The slab came out covered in their house sweet bbq sauce. If you don't like your meat drowning in sauce, ask them to put it on the side. The whole slab was a lot of meat for two people so come hungry or order a 1/2 slab. The ribs weren't "fall off the bone tender", but they had a good smoked flavor. The mac & cheese was great, but coleslaw was ok.To drink we got their sweet tea which is made with sugar and is the only way they serve it. So if you prefer unsweet tea they don't have it. The tea also comes with free refills. For payment, they accept credit card and note they charge a 10% service fee on all bills. If you like bbq, it would be hard not to try this place. I'll return.

Had the taste for rib tips so drove from Smyrna to Atlanta to Daddy D'z BBQ Joynt and ordered large rib tips to go. Had been there years ago and at that time they were pretty good. NOT any more. Menu stated that large tips were $23 but was charged $29 plus tax. I mentioned the difference to order taker and she said tax. Wasn't in the mood to argue so got them after making the drive. I guess with me being a senior citizen she figured I wouldn't notice. Should have just left then. The rib tips were more than awful. Mostly fat and large bones in box without any meat on them. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Now I know why the place was basically empty.
