D&M Jamaican Cuisine

I eat here like 3x/week and i LOVE this place. Like most Caribbean restaurants, they don't care about the ambiance but the food is phenomenal! I used to eat Fireside all the time until i stumbled into this place. Their brown stew chicken is top tier.

This happens to be one of my favorite places to eat Jamaican fried chicken. Me and my family eat here almost every weekend. I don't mind the lines or the wait. The food is usually awesome. Also let me say that I've been eating here thru mgmt changes. Since 2017 I have been loyal; it's now 2024. In all honesty the food has improved. With all my heart I want to leave my fav spot the best review but today I called in an order for an all white meat fried chicken with white rice sauce on the side and salad. My first problem is when I got there, the woman at the front has a 2 minute convo with an employee before telling me that their credit payment system is down and can I go to the at the store next door to get change. I should've been told over the phone bc I called you +3.50 for something that could've been free. Let me also say that they been having problems over 6 months and off and on this is what they say so why not remind your clientele when the issue is current ?? 2nd issue is how the lady never showed me my food which is customary bc they don't accept returns and no refunds. As she tied up the bag I said, I have salad don't worry about it, I need to add dressing. Upon looking at my food I see chicken that is obviously not fresh and the nicest piece of chicken is a leg... there is an up charge for all white. What I should've received was a charge of around $15. For a mix of white and dark. Instead I was charged like $18 ... so in total I payed $6.50 more for my meal. Again food is great. Service not so much so. But sometimes we deal with a bit of bs for our palette. As far as ambience they have remodeled slightly and it's def clean always. You've been warned. I actually feel sad for business owners who can't see their staff could be the reason someone never comes again. The way the lady tried to play me. She best be happy I wanted to enjoy my Sunday ...

Food is bang and I first got soup now I eat a lot there , people always respectful and nice and food fresh and they have a lot of drink choices

I underestimated this spot. The location is sketchy, that is not an understatement. This is not the kind of shop you need to walk in with a wimpy confidence level. Parking is right. The menu is handwritten on the wall, and there is a cooler of beverages. My food came out quick. Now I ordered a large curry chicken. You have an option of steamed white rice/rice and peas, cabbage/salad. I went with rice and peas and cabbage. Not disappointed at all. Food smelled and tasted like I traveled to the Caribbean and somebodies granny prepared my food. I'm mad I haven't been here sooner. I didn't want it to end. Only my waistline was happy I stopped stuffing my gut.

I noticed that the only way you'll get good customer service here is if you're a man. The ladies behind the counter are rude asf and barely speak or make eye contact, but let a man walk up and their whole demeanor and attitude changes. The food is good though.. Just not good customer services at all.

The food is inconsistent especially the cabbage, it's always under cooked but this time it was overcooked & extremely mushy. This time is the last straw, I got curry chicken & it had so much bones in it throughout the gravy it cracked a tooth. the women are extremely rude (except the lady with the short hair) always seem like they got attitudes.

Great food! Best Jamaican food on the east side. Only thing is I wish my 'call-in order' is already shared when I come so I don't have to wait. Other than that everything is good!!!

Curry goat was the absolute best spicy & season to perfection. authentic. I have no issue with the service, not necessarily a dining restaurant you place your order pick up and go. There are tables available if you would like to eat tho.

I don't usually post reviews. I I'm actually a restaurant owner and understand the business. D&M was my favorite Jamaican restaurant but I think after visiting today it must be under new ownership. The food today that I bought for my family was horrible. I just wasted $100.‍

This is one of our favorite places to get Jamaican food; the wife absolutely has designated them her number 1 spot. Do know some of their dishes can come across a little spicy, but all of them will be full of flavor. I like that you can also buy grocery items from behind the counter as well. They keep the beverage coolers always stocked and they also have Jamaican flavored ice cream. I recommend the jerk pork, stew chicken or beef. The wife absolutely loves the oxtails.
