Cupcakin’ Bake Shop

These "artisan cupcakes" have to be hands down the best cupcakes I had in Atlanta. So moist and decadent. It's not too sweet, but very pungent with flavor. I started off with the carrot cake, and my taste buds were revenging for more, so I tried the key lime next, and I was enthralled. Have you ever taken a bite of something so delectable you stopped and had to just look at it for a minute like WTH?! Eye balling my next little victim, I had to give it a rest because my waist line wouldn't allow it. Cupcakin has a variety of different flavors that I don't normally see at other bake shops in the metro area. This black owned shop is by of Berkeley California and landed in Colony Square in Midtown. Move over, Camicakes, there's a new kid on the block. In the words of Teddy P. " I think I better let it go. It looks like another cupcake TKO. LOL...Highly Highly Highly recommend when in Colony Square. You're welcome!

Cupcakin Bake Shop at was a stop after we watched Bad Boys. The worker wasn't too attentive. She didn't explain and flavor. Which was best selling nothing. Nonetheless we ordered two cupcakes. MADAGASCAR BOURBON VANILLA & bourbon peach cobbler. These cupcakes were so moist !!! The frost was nice and light not heavy as regular buttercream. But I will say the bourbon peach cobbler did not taste like a peach cobbler. It was more so like a spice cupcake with a hint of peach in the frosting. Overall I give Cupcakin 4/5 I will return to try other flavors once I'm in Midtown.

This is my second visit to this cupcake shop, and this time it happened to be raining. Not realizing they may have indoor seating (?), I, along with others, stood in the rain to get our cupcakes. A canopy would be a welcome addition here. That being said, these are the best cupcakes in Midtown and very reasonably priced at $4 each. As someone with dietary restrictions, I appreciate that they sell mini cupcakes too for $2 each--something I rarely see elsewhere. My favorite cupcake is the Vanilla Salted Caramel, followed closely by the Red Velvet. The carryout packaging could use some improvement; the first time I ordered mini cupcakes to go, they were upside down in the box by the time I got home. This is something to consider if you're buying these for a birthday or an event where presentation matters. Overall, I would definitely return.

I had a great experience at Cupcakin' when visiting Atlanta. I opted for a 4 pack of the minis, just so I could try a few flavors. Everything was excellent, but the real stand out was the red velvet. Something about the airy, whipped frosting really drew me in. I also happened to notice that the double chocolate cupcake I got really did taste like it was made from high quality dark chocolate, as a few others have mentioned. High quality ingredients are great to notice, especially when it is $2 for a mini cupcake that is basically only 1-2 bites. If I come back to midtown, I will definitely snag another cupcake!

DELICIOUS! The strawberry and peach cobbler were by far the two best cupcakes I've ever tasted!

Hell yes! I've visited twice and here are the reasons why I say "hell yeah" ..- each cupcake was not only flavorful but taste like high quality ingredients were used. The cake was moist and frostings were delightful with being overly sugary. - gluten free options are super important to me and they didn't taste any different in quality from the others! - Atlanta needs more amazing cupcakery action. Right now I love one other for over 10yrs but Cupcakin' stole my heart for some reasons above. Flavor highlights - key lime pie and lemon cream (?) cupcakes were crazy b/c of the various textures experienced. It was a welcome surprise. These are my TOP picks!! - red velvet, bourbon caramel and carrot cake are my other favs! I don't typically like red velvet but this one changed my mind. - chocolate raspberry was tasty but I sooo wanted a smidge more of raspberry filling than what I had. Location is killer b/c Colony Square is filled with food but not sweets so this brought balance. Staff were as sweet as the cupcakes which I appreciate!

I went to Cupcakin' today for its opening after someone recommended them as it's their favorite in California. When I walked in, I was instantly greeted even with the amount of people that was coming through. And the line moved quite fast with fresh cupcakes coming out instantly. Once it was my turn, I was helped was the same fast and great service. I bought the carrot cake, bourbon peach cobbler, cookies n cream and Madagascar vanilla. I have tried or should I devoured the carrot cake cupcake. It is sweet but not overly sweet. Nicely put together. Also it is in a great location. As soon as I walked into the center, I saw the shop and couldn't resist but walk in. It was very inviting! I'm glad the place felt welcoming once I entered inside as well. It was very clean and decorated simply but nicely. I will be back!

We stumbled across Cupcakin' Bake Shop while killing time at Colony Square and boy are we glad we did. The cupcakes were great and the peach cobbler cupcake had an incredible filling. The vegan cookies and cream cupcake also had a cookie at the bottom which was exactly what gave it a well-earned 5 stars!

Cupcakin is a new shop at Colony Square!! This cupcake shop has amazing delicious cupcakes!! They are so moist and yummy! They have great flavors! I loved the Cookies and cream flavor!! Definitely get over here to buy some cupcakes for someone special or to celebrate something!! You will definitely love them
