The pizza I had here was amazing! This is one of Durham's hidden gems. The ingredients are fresh and good. I had a margarita pizza and a Lecce salad. The tomato, garbanzo beans and everything was just so fresh. I told my cousin about it and we went back the very next day- she agreed. I can tell there is a "real Italian" involved. I only wish they had more pasta dishes.

We've lived in Downtown Durham for a few years and had never tried Cugino Forno until recently. On our way to our favorite pizza spot, Ponysaurus, we decided to give Cugino Forno a try for both beers and pizza. The menu looked promising, and we entered with high hopes. However, our experience was disappointing from the start. The man at the counter did not greet us or acknowledge us at all during our order. There was no hello, no thank you--nothing. After waiting about 15 minutes, our food arrived, and we were deeply disappointed. The pizza was floppy and utterly flavorless. For $50, we expected much more in terms of taste and texture.Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Cugino Forno. For a truly satisfying pizza experience, we suggest heading to Ponysaurus or even Little Caesars.-Two Stars for the close proximity to Two Roosters which is delicious.

Visited Hi Wire Brewing next door and was told to order pizza and bring it in to the brewery. Ordering is through QR code. Place your order with a desired pick up time as well as type of pizza. Placed order and was told it would be about 20 minutes. Went early and glad I did as I like piping hot pizza. Checkout was fast with Apple Pay and Square. It was like a NYC pizzeria as there were about ten people making pizzas in front of you. Pizza was good as I had their take on a Margherita pizza, but the dough was one of the best doughs I've ever tasted. Great chew and the ferment imparted great flavor. I would go again just for the crust. There is an ice cream parlor and play area for kids outside if you want to make it a family night out. Very cool concept with pizza, brewing, and ice cream in the same place. Plenty of parking, but you will need to get there early to get a front parking space.

The hubs wanted to get out of the house for dinner. I started looking at my bookmarks and then just did a search for Italian. Cugino popped up, which wasn't on my list yet, and you can't go wring with woodrired pizza. We split everything. The Verona salad was my favorite. The combo of blue chees, candied pecans, blueberries and apricot vinegarette was amazing. The hubs doesn't care for blue cheese and agreed because he knows I like the combo... and he had two servings! We got the Napolentana pizza. Pizza's are good size and delicious. I love they have a little station where you can get marinara, garlic, salt, oregano, thyme paremsan cheeseand crushed red pepper. We got dessert to go - chocolate cake, Italian tart and Canoli. The tart was so good and tart! The Canoli light and the cake light... the chocolate moose filling and icing was very good. Habs said we would go back to try the Bianca!

We went to the Hi-Wire brewery today and ordered this delicious pizza for dinner! It is located right next door to the brewery and they will even bring your pizza to your table. Score!! We got the Funghi Pizza and the Livorno Pizza and both were so delicious. The dough was just the right thinness and the ingredients were all really fresh. The pizzas are pretty large so we ordered two and five of us shared them. We ended up not having any leftovers, so it was the perfect amount for our crew. This is such a great spot to have right next door to an amazing brewery!

Hands down our favorite pizza spot in Durham! There's plenty of parking in the area. Ambiance: 5/5 Very family friendly and chillService: 4/5 food comes out very quicklyFood: 5/5 Napoletana is hands down our favorite. The margeritha and Bianca are also pretty delicious if you like more minimalist pizzas. The tomato base for the former and the ricotta in the latter really shine. The Americano is good though I find the pepperoni to be too overpoweringI definitely recommend this place! It has become one of our top recommended spots in the triangle!

Kind staff, decent pizza, nice open space with cute decor, and an overwhelmingly great location tucked right next to high wire and across from Two Roosters. The pizza was the perfect amount for two extremely hungry adults and was tasty. The ingredients were fresh and the pizza was certainly authentic. Rating 4 stars for location and atmosphere, though not my favorite type of pizza becauseI personally didn't like the crust that much

I am a loyal customer of Cugino Forno in Greensboro. Visiting Durham we tried the local store and also loved it. We had the Napolitana Special pie which had a delicious blend of onions, sausage and peppadews along with mozz. It was fresh and flavorful, with a hint of sweetness. The crust was cooked to perfection. We wolfed it down! The service was friendly. It is always cool to see them making the pizza.

We were looking for a place to grab something to eat in the area and decided to check out Hi-Wire Brewing next door to Cugino Forno when we read they deliver pizzas to the brewery. Hi-Wire Brewing and Cugino Forno are literally next door to each other inside one of buildings formerly used by the Golden Belt Manufacturing Company. These building have a lot of history in the area. In the late 1800's, the Golden Belt Manufacturing Co. originated in a portion of the Bull Durham Tobacco Factory as an operation to produce the cloth bags in which the tobacco was sold. Now this area is a fully renovated Golden Belt Campus. We have been multiple times to their locations in Winston and Clemmons but did not realize there was a location in Durham. They serve a Neapolitan-style pizza which is very similar to what I have had Italy. Their dough is delicious with an array of high quality toppings. We decided to share a Supremo Italiano pizza because we know just how big they are. We told the young man working at the counter that we would be next door and he provided us with a number for our table at Hi-Wire. We should also mention that their prices are reasonable. They also offer frozen pizzas to bake at home along with some yummy looking desserts. Our pizza arrived quickly and looked and tasted delicious, Cugino Forno really has great Neapolitan-style pizza.

Ordered and sat at Hi Wire. That was great. The Napoletana pizza was surprisingly lame. We were excited to try this place due to the many good reviews. Sorely disappointed. Bad night? Dunno. We won't return.
