YUMMY!!!! I am a seafood lover and this place hits the spots and y'all I love QUALITY VALUE and good portions and this place delivers that wholeheartedly. Great prices (there's an AYCE fried shrimp and fish on certain days!!), wonderful variety, and the taste is pretty tastyyyyy!! The blackened shrimp flavor was on point, savory with subtle heat, and the fried seafood was wonderful! I also enjoyed the hush puppies. The garlic potatoes were good but not great and left me desiring way more oomph or seasoning and I gobbled those onion rings down but there def couldeve been more seasoning and flavorIt was a good experience and location near the water and kemah is wonderful!! Hit or miss. I used to love their crawfish but the last couple times I have visited, they have been dirty AF. Sad to see them not care about one of their biggest money makers. I do enjoy their blackened alligator tacos. Overall I would honestly recommend for fried food and alcoholic drinks.

I've been here a few times, mostly for a few beers and the atmosphere. The food is decent enough, but the ambiance, music and cold beer is the main reason for me to visit this place. Service is usually pretty decent, with exception for a hiccup here and there but, nothing major. I definitely recommend anyone check it out at least once for a good time.

After a whole day of playing at Kemah boardwalk, I was looking forward to getting some crawfish! I was seated really quickly and opted for the upstairs seating- there are a handful of comfy booths! I got the "G Style Flavored Pot" which came with 3 pounds of crawfish and 1 pound of shrimp! The shrimp was exceptionally large and fresh! And the portion is good for 2-3 people! There was also lots of crawfish and it tasted really good with the mild seasoning (which was not mild btw) I also had some southern gumbo - very heavy and hearty taste; as well as some catfish - super flaky and fresh! (The Catfish and Shrimp Feast could feed 2-3 people as well!)An overall great experience for my first crawfish boil!

The food and atmosphere was good but the service not so much. They weren't that busy and was there for me very 2 hours because we only saw our waitress every 30 minutes or so. Don't get me wrong, she was very nice but had to remind her of my drink and food. My husband even got tired of waiting for her to pick up our payment and got up to go pay for it. We still gave her a minimum tip (18%) because I know how they live off of their tips because I used to wait tables. She got more than she earned. When you see people come in after you got there and get their food and leave before you even get your check then something is going on. Oh did I mention that another waiter took our payment.....smh! It'll be a minute before I go back......sigh!

I had the $20 all you can eat fried shrimp, catfish, fries, onion rings, salad and gumbo.The salad had no iceberg lettuce (a good thing), but included tomatoes, red onions and sliced mushrooms. Definitely a step above the average house salad.The cup of gumbo was spot on, above average for sure, and my family is from Louisiana.I had onion rings, which were freshly made, hot and crispy.Not much of a catfish eater but the piece I had was fried just right.The shrimp, despite the server saying they were jumbo, they were medium at best, but cooked and seasoned well.I went there on a Monday evening and only 2 other tables were taken, hence the service was really good.I highly recommend it!

I have mixed feelings about this place. Firstly, it's a swamp shack. Does it look and feel the cleanest? No not really lol. But is it a good place to eat? Yes it is. They have a whole variety of foods and I do like oysters, the oysters on the half shell are good, and so far after eating I haven't had any stomach aches so that's also a good sign. I also like the crawfish, I am a baby when it comes to spice so I got mine with no spice and it was just perfect. I usually come here after my family makes the day trip to kemah. They have a live band(sometimes just man) playing downstairs and you have the option to sit inside or outside.I'm not gonna lie, sometimes just being in there makes me lose a bit of my appetite. It doesn't necessarily look the most appealing to the eyes, but again with a name like swamp shack I shouldn't be anywhere near surprised. Also, in order to get to the indoor seating there is a stair case, so your only option if you're in a wheelchair is to eat outside. The stairs are pretty steep and I usually hit my heel on the back of the step, so be careful on your way back down.
