Crafty Crab - Houston

Well decorated, (although there was still some sprinkling of Christmas decorations), super spacious no frills seafood spot. Came here around 9 with my boyfriend on Friday night. They play hip hop and rnb kind of at a louder level than expected for dining but it wasn't annoying or hard to talk over. There are tvs and a big screen on the back wall which makes it a nice spot for a game.We came for the boiled seafood but also got oysters. Was my first time having steamed oysters and I want them again again again!Prices were to be expected because it's seafood and life is expensive. Service wasn't bad but nothing that stood out.The shrimp and crawfish were very tasty and the portions left nothing to be desired. They are very generous with potatoes and currently have a buy 4 get 1 lb special on crawfish. Any place with some kina BOGO is always right with me. What stood out to us the most is the announcement for last call. The staff ring cowbells and scream it throughout the restaurant. We appreciated this as we have been to another seafood spot close to closing and when we attempted to add more food we were told last call passed.

We prefer to do our own boils because you can control the spice and seasoning level but if you are going to get a bag, this is the place. I came here on a whim being indecisive for my birthday which was on a Thursday around 7 and it was a great choice. E was our waiter and did a great job. We had a party of 7 and all got boils. My 1lb of snow crab and whole shrimp were Medium in heat with boom spice and were perfect. So perfect we ordered another 1/2 pound. The long island was good and one was enough. Ya girl wasn't trying to be wasted. The music set the entire scene and we jammed all night. There was a small discrepancy with our order that wasn't cleared up. There was no manager available so we couldn't handle it. All in all the food was good and despite the small thing we would come back.UPDATE: we called and spoke to Courtney, a manager, and she told us we could come back and she would settle our balance. It was a difference of $2 and we were not going to come back the next day for $2. Had it been handled that day, this would've been a 5-star review.

We walked right in on a Saturday evening. The staff were friendly and very busy... Yet they still found time to greet us with pleasant smilesWe arrived with empty tummies and an idea of what we wanted, so by the time our server "E" came by we ordered with confidence!! It took him awhile to bring our drink orders, but we assumed the bar was overwhelmed, so we sipped our water.Hey! Get a bib if you get a boil ... They are juicy and delicious. I recommend the medium spice with the BOOM sauce. We shared the small seafood platter and added a couple of lobster tails.Don't hesitate.. Go get you some yummy goodness!!

I was craving a crab boil while visiting Houston and I really enjoyed the Craft Crab. We went the day after thanksgiving it was pretty rainy, so the place was very chill- but I heard that was unusual and there's usually a line out of the door.I shared the Dungeness Special, with mild boom sauce and it was a perfect portion for . The eggs were slightly over cooked, but the potatoes and corn were soft/tender and they held the boil juices well. The crab was fresh, and huge and the boom sauce was the best I've ever had. Definitely go during happy hour and add a sweet cocktail to all the spice you'll have.Can't wait to visit again

Are you ready kids? - Aye, aye captain? I can't hear you? - Aye aye captain!!!Ha! I can't help but think of Spongebob, as I stepped into the Krusty Krab, oh barnacles! I mean the Crafty Crab in Westchase. The interior was absolutely an absolute dream for any sea food lover, neat décor all around, and great music/jams playing. We showed up on a Saturday night, and although there was ample parking, the place seemed to be popping! Better yet, cracking! Just like the juicy crab legs we were going to be cracking in a bit. Yum! If you have a craving for some seafood, at a good price, this is the place to be! The smells of deliciousness seemed to attract us instantly as we were seated at a booth. The booth was fantastic as it included a small garbage can on the table for all our shells, skins, and trash. Our waitresses also provided us with bibs and gloves. Her service was also stellar, and she was very helpful! We ordered the pound of Snow Crab Legs, a half dozen Steamed Oysters, and some extra corner (we didn't realize that the order of snow crab already came with corn and sausage, no worries, extra corn is always good). Our waitress also provided us with plenty of crackers and lime for our food. We had the option of getting some spiciness to our food, but decided to play it safe with our stomachs and chose the delicious Buttery Garlic. Once our food arrived, we were under the sea like the Little Mermaid. Oh man! The Oysters came and the were absolute flavorful and delicious. Absolute perfection. The Snow Crab legs were meaty and delicious. As if they came off of Mr. Krabs, himself! Each leg was a meatful and delicous masterpiece, and that Butterly Garlic sauce, mmmmm! Please forgive me as I wipe the drool of my face! Just yum! Good portions of food, affordable seafood, great service, clean, and an absolute Masterpiece! Two Big Thumbs up to the Crafty Crab.

It was my first time herebut they did not disappoint . Hot and seasoned soooooo good. The music set the vibe for me. Food came out quick and server was very attentive. I also had a strawberry lemon drop from the bar to top it all off. I'll be back again.

Fresh seafood for a good price! Stopped by for my moms birthday during the weekday (early dinner). Parking was easy as it's in a larger strip center. The restaurant wasn't too busy. We were seated immediately. Our waiter was kind and helpful with making recommendations. They have a ton on TVs do if you want to watch shows or sports you have plenty of options. The appetizers were delicious and probably my favorite, more details below. Now what you really want to know! Calamari - 5/5 some of best fried calamari I've ever had. Served with marinara and ranch. Seasoned fries - 5/5 served with ranch and ketchup King Crab - 5/5 with potatoes (2) and corn (1)Whole shrimp - 3/5 with potatoes (2) and corn (1) - I should have went up in a spice level, it was seasoned but it still was lacking some flavor. Catfish basket with sweet potato fries - 5/5

My boyfriend and I went here on Thursday May 2nd. We ordered the crawfish special which was 3 pounds of crawfish for $30. We ordered the crawfish with the Boom sauce, it was extremely yummy! Our server was amazing and very attentive, she went back to our table to ask us how our food was, and both my boyfriend and I said it was great. The ambiance was great too, very on brand for a seafood restaurant.

Seafood boil is good and tasty , you get plenty for the amount you pay. Now the gumbo on the other hand is absolutely terrible they need to take it off the menu. They are selling Campbell's Chunky Chicken and Sausage Gumbo in the can. - my server even confirmed it after I knew instantly after one bite. Nice ambiance and really cool serves !

Visiting for spring break and were looking for a crawfish place. The front desk person at our hotel recommended we come to the the crafty crab. The service was great and the food was delicious and arrived very fWe had the snow crab, shrimp,and crawfish with potatoes and corn. Our girls had the chicken strips which were amazing too.
