"I love this place! Coworkers introduced it to me and I'm so glad they did. Their food is always hot, and their prices are great. Customer service is fantastic. I also got my husband hooked on this food. You can call in an order in advance and they'll have it ready for you. Truly is a hidden gem. Located in the plaza across Edinburg North High School."
"Fan-flippin-tastic! How did I miss this gem?! Thank goodness was I live around the corner from this place. They just got themselves a new loyal customer. Small place tucked away with big flavor. I ordered to-go, but when I walked in I thought the restaurant was clean and pretty cool looking. I would have gladly stayed to dine-in. They have a great variety of well priced food and even combo specials. We ordered the Tuna Tower, Mosqueda roll, Philly roll, and crab salad. All excellent. Fresh and flavorful, especially the tuna. The portions were large, well presented, and they didn't skimp on the dressings. And, shut up... high quality chopsticks. Exceeded expectations! PS. FREE DELIVERY!"

"We stopped in for boba. Great selection. Boba tea was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Small but cute and cozy little place. Next time will definitely try some poke too."
"Incredible sushi! The tropical breeze roll was amazingly tasty and the Hokkaido roll, which was suggested by the sweetest waitress was amazing too! Super friendly staff, excellent service and amazing food! We'll be back! Also, a really cool mural on the side of the building so check that out too. 5/5 stars easy"
"Posh sushi is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Laredo Texas. In fact, it's the only restaurant i recommend that offers authentic style sushi. The ambiance is very chic and sophisticated that it brightens your mood. Moreover, I ordered the fresh Nissi Roll and let me tell you, you are in for a surprise. The roll has fresh eel, avocado and other ingredients which makes this roll very fresh, spicy and tasty. The service is fast and was over please with my visit. 5 stars to you guys. -P.S. don't forget to try their Yakimeshi rice. Yum."
"Great place! Live music, lively fun people!!! Ask for Norma she is the best server !!!! I come to Edinburg from Houston to visit my best friend from college a lot! We are both single women and for the most part I have to say I am not a big fan of the night life or bars restaurants down here!!! LOL!! That being said It all changed coming to this place!!! first the atmosphere, food service and the decor reminded me of Chilo's in Houston!!! This place has it all!!! Great service great food and happy people all out to just have a good time!!! I will be coming back here again and again!!!"
"Great place to satisfy my sushi cravings. Good quality sushi, great service. A little dear on my wallet, so not someplace I'd go daily, but more of a reward for myself. I still recommend to try it!"
"Wife ordered sweet and sour chicken, I ordered Teriyaki steak and we both thought our dishes were OK. Not great, certainly not bad. For her, the smaller pieces of chicken were very hard to bite through the fried batter and for me, the smaller pieces of beef became quite chewy though for both, the larger pieces were tender and juicy.Being a Saturday, it wasn't busy and service was prompt and very courteous. Prices a bit on the high side. Portions could be smaller and prices lower. Just my opinion on that. We've tried it. It was OK. 'Nuff said."
"What a wonderful experience at the sushi bar with our sushi chefs and our server!! Our food was very fresh and delicious, sushi chefs recommend a lot great sashimi and sushi choices portions do not disappoint. Has a full bar and great vibe, we will definitely be back the next time we visit Victoria!!"
"Yum yum yum! Been wanting to try Posh for a few weeks now, and got take out today, it's great! Chicken fried rice is awesome! California roll, Suite 8, and Real Crab rolls are awesome! Love the presentation of the Real Crab roll! They have plenty of sauces, chopsticks and napkins which is always a plus. Staff is delightful! Very friendly and professional service, we will most definitely return again :) The restaurant is located in a small plaza near the Walmart, there's a subway within the same plaza.Truckers! I suggest if you do take out call ahead, they take about 15 minutes to get it ready, you can park at the Walmart and wait which is what we did, and then we parked behind the Chase bank, only there for 2-3 minutes and were on our way, we were bobtail though, can't get a 53' trailer over there guys!"
"I always order for pickup ... I haven't had the pleasure of dining in and watching the hibachi show, but it looks fun when I'm inside picking up my to go order & the diners are always having fun! I usually order the combo fried rice or lo mein noodles & a couple of sushi rolls, the food is always good!"
"If you find yourself in the city of Laredo, Texas and hungry for delicious Mexican style seafood and sushi, you are in the right place. Being a border city to Mexico, Laredo has it's share of great seafood restaurants and La Laguna Mariscos sure has a spotlight on them. Not too long ago I came with a friend for ceviche de camarones (Shrimp Ceviche) and boy were we in for a surprise. The ceviche was well served combined with spicy prepared cucumber slices and of course tasty. The quality on this dish is great and recommend two people sharing this because of the portion size. Unless you are very hungry then go ahead.. Lol, I on the other hand ordered their Avocado Sushi roll and enjoyed this dish. The roll had a yummy fresh taste to it and had just the right amount of avocado on the roll. This avocado roll came with a side of crab salad, Tampico and fried rice. Just great. Price was decent and overall satisfied with the food. What I liked about the restaurant is that the ambiance is so vibrant and full of life. I believe they have live music on the weekends and let me tell you, salsa music at La Laguna is spicy! ay ay ay! Therefore, I would also like to suggest to the owner that management should be on top of their servers at all times. In fact, management should be on top of their servers and customers. That Saturday I went to dine at La Laguna took almost 26 minutes for us to get our orders in to our server. I understand that businesses can be very busy, specially on a Saturday night, but these small details make a big difference. The restaurant is very neat and clean. Servers are friendly and love that they even suggest good dishes from the menu. Thanks guys!"

Omg I love this place. It beats going through McAllen traffic. You guys need to try out this place. It's clean, it's in a small plaza in front of Edinburg North. I like the staff and the Sushi Chef is super fast. The sushi is fresh and tasty. I've added pictures and their menu, and of course, our order...so good.

The staff were outstanding and patient with our party! All the sushi was made fresh on the spot and better than any we've had! The poke bowls were refreshing and a perfect go to after a day at the beach! Outdoor seating is nice but something with a fan or fly killers would help. 10/10!

Oh my goodness! Words cannot express how much we enjoyed this place. The food was amazing, the staff is great and we appreciate that they're open lunch time on a Saturday. The restaurant is a stand alone with parking at the back. While you walk towards the front door, you cannot miss the beautiful and very detailed mural.Unfortunately, some items we ordered didn't make it to the camera roll for they were devoured right away. We had the cucumber salad, sunomono salad, garlic and spicy edamame, avocado bomb, shrimp fried rice, aburi salmon and the party boat. Everything was divine, chef's kiss! We enjoyed the avocado bomb experience and the crunchiness of it. But oh my, I cannot stress enough how good was the aburi salmon, they told us it needs to be eaten just as it is and right away. It was heaven in my mouth. Of course, we had to get their Party Boat, sashimi were cut in perfect thickness and the nigiri with the right amount of rice. Also, the shrimp fried rice was so tasty! They used the big shrimps which were cooked perfectly. I couldn't get enough of it. They also serve Orion which I had the pleasure of trying, the beer was so smooth and easy to drink. The owner, Wayne, was there walking around checking on customers and was very friendly. Will definitely come back to this restaurant even if it's a 3-hour drive!

I refuse to order sushi anywhere else in Laredo. Posh is definitely thee best. Not giving 5 stars just because they have missed the orders for pick up quite a few times. Other than that, I love visiting the restaurant on Delmar or ordering to bring food home.

Good size portions, friendly staff. Small comfy dinning area. They don't appear to have liquor drinks only beer and wine. Gyoza had a delish yet slightly spicy dipping sauce.

"Great service and the food was fresh and delicious!I will definitely return for more great sushi."
"Love this place. It's a hidden gem! Great food options. I'm a pescatarian and this is the only restaurants in the area that had lobster, scallop and shrimp on their menu. Really funny and engaging staff. I always come here every time I come to visit my hometown. Special memories made here. Hope they keep up the place because having a great staff is key."
"Who knew there was such a great Sushi restaurant in Lake Jackson! The Sushi was so fresh and delicious. I have been looking for a sushi house that serves the Mexican roll. Finally!!! Hiroshi has the Mexican Roll. Yay!! The Service was on point. Very nice Server and very helpful. Ambiance was nice too. My Friend and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to stopping back in on my next trip to Lake Jackson. Forks up!! I'll be back!!"
"yeah!!!I know youseems like rock and roll is theme. I love rock and roll. What do I wantanything!!!!yeah.love it good"
"The sushi here was delicious but the service was not. We came an hour before the store was closing and they told us we couldn't sit upstairs because they had mopped. I will still come back for the sushi though-probably the best that I've tried here in corpus."
"This place did not disappoint! Our first time dropping in and we were pleasantly surprised by the speed of service and the delicious meal. Honestly I was not expecting much from this newer opening in the Aliana area but do not sleep on this place! We had kids chicken Katsu w fried rice, kids chicken nuggets and fries (separate orders for each) and 3 rolls: Hot Mama, The One, and Nemo. The Nemo was the only fresh roll while the rest was cooked. My personal favorite was the Hot Mama, literally melted in my mouth w the crispy tempura batter and the cream cheese w spicy salmon filling (can you use the "melt in your mouth" phrase about sushi?). The other rolls were also very good-fresh and tasty. Presentation of the food was on point. The kids chicken nuggets fries, chicken katsu and kids fried rice was delicious as well. The katsu was so crispy and delicious would definitely order this again as an adult meal! We also enjoyed our drinks: sake bombs w Japanese beer, lychee martini and mango lover. The lychee martini was very well endowed w alcohol but still tasted great. They also offer w variety of Japanese sodas for the kids. Mine really enjoyed his. I definitely plan on returning to sample more of their extensive menu and enjoy their great drinks!"
"The place is actually really nice. Good location with ample parking. Ambience is really good there too. Customer service was nice but the service is extremely slow. Took about 30 minutes to get our rolls to the table, mind you we were the only ones in the restaurant that didn't have food. 50% of of sushi Mondays and Tuesdays, which is a good deal. Quality of sushi I would say is good, but some were just meh. I would say it's a good date spot, if you got time to wait for some average rolls, by all means, give this place a go. Prices are reasonable at full price. More like 3.5 stars for this place."
"Just sat the revalue dine in tables u they do have that show type seating too. Got udon noodle dish, some sushi, and tempura veggie. Sushi was good, noodles were tasty, but the tempura was crazy good. It's just an appetizer dish but it's a good amount of stuff. Best part of the meal for me. I've already been back a couple of times. Still good."
"visited during a weekday, lunch hour. I was not expecting to see Japanese food on the menu, but I'm not mad at it. The service & food were both okay. The restaurant was clean and seating was comfortable."
"This review is for their Wednesday menu only when this steakhouse run by a French chef turns into a sushi restaurant. And the five stars fully reflects the rural location. You could drive many miles in any direction and not see anything close to a sushi restaurant. There's one in Bastrop, but that's 45 minutes away. You'd probably drive an hour hour the next closest option. Three stars for the food - since it was a limited menu, adapted a bit to rural taste, was missing a few of the expected Japanese touches such as a dish to mix your wasabi and soy sauce and dip your sushi into. That said, the fish was super fresh and they were generous with it, and we enjoyed the meal. Plus one more star for the service and the nicely priced sake, which were both very good. And definitely a bonus star for bringing sushi to this remote community of 1,800 people. They are ambassadors of culture and their outreach is well received. The place was packed. And everyone was using chopsticks! We had the items you see pictured and captioned below. The tempura wasn't the whispy batter you often see, but it was still very good - perfectly fried and well seasoned. One small thing, though: they made the mistake of placing Chinese Duck Sauce in the bottom of the shrimp tempura bowl. Not Japanese and not needed. This type of rural adaptation was evident in the sushi rolls, where the few options included rolls that are either fried, loaded with cream cheese, or both (very similar to Kyoto Sushi in Bastrop) But, again, that packed the house. And even their least Japanese roll - the Philadelphia role - was delicious. Although my next trip there won't likely be on a Wednesday, we definitely enjoyed the meal and I very much appreciate what they're doing. As they say in Japan, "Keep it up, y'all!""
"Have been hearing about for some time and Favored it last night. DEEElicious! More than just Sushi (had the California Roll, Pad Thai, and Mongolian Beef), all were prepared very well. The Mongolian beef was top notch as was the Pad Thai. So glad to have this as a local option and kicking myself in the ass for not trying it sooner..."
"I drive out the way 50 miles to try this place. Ok, so it was the only place within 50 miles to try but it was well worth the visit. It was easy to find. Easy to get into the well maintained parking lot and there was plenty of parking. It's in a strip mall, and the outside is plain, but do not judge a book by the cover. Walking in, I was greeted immediately. In the age of covid, there were warnings on the door about face coverings and hand sanitizer at the door. Tables were limited to provide social distancing and all of the staff were wearing masks. The smell of the cooking food was intoxicatingly delicious. My drink order was taken as I was seated at my table. I had a sweet tea which is standard here in this part of the world. For an appetizer I ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls and then spied an appetizer pho. What a concept that other Vietnamese places should take note of. I LOVE pho and I almost always defer to it even if there are other items I would love to try on the menu. Because I could get an appetizer portion and try other items, I mean how could I pass this up? The pho was delicious. Others have reviewed the broth as too much this or too little of that. I thought it delicious. Every place has their own flavor and every person their own preference. I enjoy the differing variations and I was not disappointed. Because of covid the sriracha was served in a small container with hoisin. This was a perfect amount and combination for the serving size and I had plenty of basil, cilantro and mung bean sprouts. I just wished that they had an option for tripe since it is my favorite in pho. For my main course I had the Kung Pao Chicken with white rice. It was different than I expected, but as I said before I enjoy different variations of dishes and I was pleasantly surprised by this. I was well taken care of by the server and hostess staff. There was nothing I could have asked for more. The price was very reasonable for what I ordered and I was full from the ample servings. Even took some of the king pao home there was so much. I will come back if I am ever in the area again."
"I loooove this place. We've been coming here every year since 2020. This time, we ordered tuna tostados, shaggy dog sushi and the cucumber jalapeño martini (all recommended by the bartender). The tostados weren't great, but not bad either. I probably wouldn't get them again. The shaggy dog is a different story. I woke up the next morning still thinking about how good this sushi was- and I'm not a sushi fan. And the marg...so good I ordered two. And this isn't a cheap place. Deal with it. Make this your treat meal. And for the person that commented you have to walk up three flights of stairs...get over it. Get up there and enjoy a great meal."
"The best food, service depends on if the waiter has been there a while or not. But definitely must try."
"We had so much fun at Poseidon for my son's birthday. Some in our large party wanted sushi, so we did a boat. Most others wanted hibachi. The chefs were entertaining and so funny. Our kids loved the Mickey Mouse rice shape, the "rave," and anything involving fire. The hibachi was delicious... I'm not sure that they put in it (probably the heaps of garlic butter) but you're not going to be able to put your fork down!! Try the yum yum sauce on your hibachi, it takes the yum to a whole nother level! Some in our group got chicken, steak, tuna, shrimp or scallops. Everything was perfect. The sushi was solid and my girls loved the ice and flower sculpture it arrived on. Two Thumbs up from our whole family!"
"We went Sunday for lunch oct 2023 don't forget to call if u want them to do live cooking they want reservations"
"For a buffet, I really enjoyed their food! Set your standards for a classic Chinese buffet and you should be impressed. Next time I want to cheat on my diet, I am heading here to eat!"
"Back in Laredo again. Decided to eat here again. First time service was pretty slow/sketchy.Ordered the Tuna Tar Tar appetizer and salmon with asparagus and avocado entree. This time service was good."
"My wife and I were in Corpus this past weekend and staying downtown. We decided to walk to dinner and chose Water Street as it was close by. We happened upon happy hour with some great deals on sushi and drinks. We both ordered two rolls. Everything came out quickly and with generous portions. We really enjoyed all the food and the service was really well done, including for our little one. Would definitely recommend hitting them up for happy hour!"
"If you are curious about Yoshi, then you must stop by. It's definitely a hidden gem in Corpus. It's well-known to the locals as having some of the best sushi in town and i must say, I agree. This wasn't my first trip here so I'll try to include my past experiences. The staff has always been very friendly and generous, even during Covid times. They provide sanitizer when you enter, take your temperature, and are limited capacity; which is comforting with recent government changes. I've had their chicken teriyaki, yakisoba noddles and chicken, various rolls, fried and stemmed rice and it's all been very fresh and savory. There are times you go eater other restaurants and the meat is chewy or tastes old, but not here. It's always been very tender and fresh. It's seasoned very well. Even the veggies are a must try because they are well cooked and makes you wanting more. Lol! All their rolls are exceptional, from raw to cooked, I can't complain. Even when co-workers order a roll from here they know they are so delicious, they always share. The offer Chinese and Japanese entrees and both selections are amazing. Well you are at it, don't forget to try the their Saki, it's also a nice refresher. This place already has stellar reviews so take our word for it and check them out. Enjoy an amazing pallet experience!"
"Another 5 Star Experience at Umiya. This time there were 3.5 of us. Me, Wifey, My Mini Me and My Brother In-Law we all shared our food and had a beautiful experience with the taste, textures, and presentation. Service was once again top notch and they were very patient with our particular needs having an infant. From the high chair to us walking him all around the place. The ambience, food, staff, EVERYTHING on point. We will be back"
"I love the fresh sushi here. Drinks are bottled and bottomless. You can also order a variety of food items if not enjoying the sushi buffet. Fresh fruit and 2 salads (octopus and sea weed) are included on the buffet. The staff is so welcoming and the location was clean. We will be back."
"Place was really open and staff was inviting. There's a bar you can sit at to dine & drink. They carry sake, asahi Japanese beer and wine. We had a party of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids). We were seated immediately Saturday at 7:15pm. We ordered pear sake, asahi , Japan 75 cocktail, and lemon drop martini (we had them add the jalapeño for a kick). Apps we ordered the clams, edamame, & calamari. Kids had chicken katsu (kids order is big enough for 2!) it comes with fries. The bigger kids had hibachi steak--it came with fried rice and veggies. The chicken and steak plates were tasty. Adults had sushi. We had the tuna with mango, the one with jalapeño and some other rolls. Everything was super tasty and fresh. Dessert we had matcha cheesecake with matcha ice cream. Delish!! Overall service was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and fresh. Definitely coming back!"
