"Always good...! Solid meat to bread ratio. The people are always friendly. It won't let you down.Every kolache I have had from here, has been top knotch."
"Our family visited Babes for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I have gone all over the country trying lots of different kinds of donuts--some yeasty, some heavy, some potato (shoutout to Holy Donut in Portland ME), some overly sweet, some bland, some greasy etc. But I have NEVER had a donut as pillowy and airy as the one at Babes. It wasnt too sweet or even greasy. I have no idea how they do it, but it was what every donut should be and more. I ate a fruity pebbles one expecting sweet and heavy, but I could have eaten a few more and not felt like I was weighed down. They dont have a lot of choices, but even a simple donut hole will amaze. We also had the breakfast sandwiches on biscuits and croissants and those were really good too at a very reasonable price for size and quality which is scarce these days. And the Americano was great (2 shots for only $3 and change). The only cons are the tables were sticky and there isnt great signage so we walked past it twice. You must make this your next breakfast stop!!"
"I was feeling lazy and didn't want to cook breakfast for my tribe so I drove down the street to get some kolaches and donuts. The selection of donuts in this place is great. Everything from large and fluffy cinnamon buns, regular donuts, bear claws, and all their sweet cousins is in the case. My son gave good ratings for the cinnamon roll. My 4 year old loved the chocolate muffin I got her. My oldest and my husband wanted kolaches. The way my husband talks about these things makes him sound like a love struck boy pining for his crush. He described them as heavenly with soft bread on the outside and beautiful spicy jalapeno sausage enveloped in cheese on the inside. He was not wrong. I had the Boudin Kolache which was I would get again. I thought it might be mushy because of the rice but let me tell you it was not. It had just the right amount of moisture to make the sausage sing but not make the bread soggy. Just lovely. I will definitely be back."
"Again Westco Donuts are the best Donuts in Houston, had them again today January 2, 2023, they continue to be tasty and fresh, we also had the breakfast sausage eggs and sandwich very tasty also We will continue to order from here is a hidden gem"
"Stopped in for some donuts and pleasantly surprised how tasty they were. The donuts were fresh and scrumptious. As others said on other reviews the staff was super friendly and nice."
"Great local spot to pick up breakfast. We love supporting small. There's no dine in right now due to Covid. Sanitizer is available for customer use. There's a very large selection of donuts and kolaches available- they even have breakfast tacos! Everything I have tried is delicious. Give the boudin a shot!"
"On a Thursday morning my boyfriend wanted donuts last minute, and so I swerved into the parking lot like a mad woman because it was the first donut shop I saw. I didn't read reviews and I didn't look at any pictures beforehand. But let me tell you.. this place is amazing.I came in asking for a dozen donuts, enough for him and his friends. I chose the prettiest ones in that case and expected to pay $9-15 based on Shipley's and other donut shops. But even with all the sprinkle donuts and fancier donuts, it only cost me $7 for the dozen. The very nice lady also helped me rearrange the donuts so I can take pictures after! The donuts were pretty, tasty, fresh, and well worth the time and money. I'm glad the unplanned trip led me to this donut shop and I will definitely be back! They DONUT disappoint!"
"Food was good and service was quick but their phone is disconnected when I tried to call ahead."
"Hands down this is the best donut stop in Sugar Land. I have been going to this place for over a decade. I prefer the cake donuts but they have such a large selection that I would recommend you try them all. Don't worry about leftovers as these go fast. They also have breakfast tacos, croissants, and other things like pastries, donut holes, apple fritters and eclairs to name a few. When I take them to work they call them the crack donut as they are really good and addicting. Everyone wants to know where this place is. Never crowded and the wait time is slim to non and there are a few places to sit down but i believe most people take out. Customer service is great and you're always greeted with a smile. This is the hands down a treasure trove for those who need a sugar rush in Sugar Land."
"Came here due to a neighborhood post saying they might have to close. Always want to support local and keep any business alive that I can! The owners are soo nice and help you right away! There is any kolache you can imagine, and the boudin one is a must to try! Will be back for sure to help keep this shop going!"

PISTACHIO. SMOOTHIE. I'll be the first to admit that I'm about that frou-frou life and this smoothie is going to be an excellent addition to whenever I have errands to run and appearances to make.

Amazing service and even better coffee!!! Very good pricing as well as a great environment for studying or chatting with friends. Really wish they had better hours though. :( closed on mondays and they close at 3pm it's a real bummer- I hate having to go to other coffee shops on the square when babes is closed :(

MY NEW FAV DONUT SHOP!!First time here. Staff was super nice! The lady gave me time to pick and choose what I wanted. I was not rushed. She gave me recommendations and was very honest. I ended up getting 2 glazed donuts and a cinnamon twist. She even offered to warm up my donuts. I am not a run of Shipleys (AT ALL) but I am a fan of WESTCO They were inexpensive and fresh. Not greasy at all!!! Tasted wonderful. I will come back often!!

Yum. Loved everything I ate. I had never been to this place before, I got the chocolate on chocolate donut, cinnamon and sugar donut, and the ham and cheese croissant. My husband got donut holes, and an original old fashion glaze. We also got a original glaze too, just to try & an apple juice to share.I'm happy with everything I ate, and definitely plan to come back! We spent around $12 for all of this, definitely worth it :-)

This neighborhood chain location is our favorite. Been going here for over 20 years. Always have so many varieties & staffs are very nice & super helpful. Don't know what the secret is but their donuts don't get soggy or set when left out all day. Leftovers are still very good. We highly recommend this tried & true location. They also offer Specialty Birthday Donut design to surprise your love ones.

I ordered in bulk for a group of people, and - I believe it was the owner - gave me extra donut holes just because. They make lots of different donuts and kolaches. My favorite was the brisket kolache (kind of like an Americanized Hong shao bao). The glazed donuts were nothing to rave about, but the kolaches were great! Definitely coming by for more brisket kolaches!

"We were in the area and decided to finally try Shipley's Donuts. It was later in the morning. Not really early when we arrived to pick up their donuts. Inside, the donuts were laid out in front of us and the kolaches were to the side next to the cashier. We got a bunch of donuts and kolaches. Here's a breakdown of what we tried: Apple fritter (3/5): this wasn't too bad to me. My mom didn't like the cinnamon flavor. Maple iced (3/5): the icing was tasty, but the donut itself was dense and stale. Raspberry filled (4/5): my sis thought this was pretty good, with an ample amount of fruity raspberry filling and a soft, yeasty donut. However, my sis said she's had better. Chocolate iced (3/5): my lil bro thought this was overly sweet and his donut was stale. He was ok with the chocolate flavor, though. Sausage, Jalapeño, and cheese kolache (4/5): I think we all enjoyed this the most. There were real jalapeños in it , which gave it a nice kick and flavor. The sausage was tasty and adequate. The bread wasn't too bad either. If I go back to Shipley's, I'm definitely getting these. Overall, my impression so far has been that the kolaches are worth getting. The donuts not so much, since I've had better quality donuts from Krispy Kreme and even HEB (gasp, I know). However, I might give their donuts another go when I can come here earlier in the morning when they're more fresh. I'll likely stick to their OG donuts, like their original glazed, sugar, or cinnamon sugar."
"I don't know how it's possible but this is the same donut shop that is every shopping center in Texas. They aren't anything special...but they aren't bad.The big downside to our visit today was that only the drive through was open...so we didn't know what we were getting ahead of time.Oh yeah and the egg biscuits were reheated and just ok. I expected more from a place that had 4.5 stars."
"Excellent fresh coffee every time, my breakfast sandwiches were hot and delicious. The people that work here are consistent. clean environment. Of course, we all love, love, love the donuts. Maple and Boston cream are my favorite."
"Good donuts and kolaches. Quick service. They make a real effort to get everyone served as quickly as possible in the mornings. I have often stopped in here to get a few dozen donuts for work. There can be a line out the door but it always moves fast. This location knows that people don't have time to wait in the morning and they move quickly and efficiently.I love the powdered donuts, sausage and cheese kolaches, and basically everything else here. I have to stop myself from visiting every day!"
"I grew up eating these donuts. My favorite is the basic glazed donut. The glaze is nice and thin and the donut is light and airy. Once you move away, you don't realize how good you've had it. Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts got nothing on these. You gotta love the kolaches as well."
"Service is always great here and food is great but this particular visit the donut holes were hard. I was already home so I didn't bother going back."
"I ordered custom birthday donuts from here and I could not be more pleased. I fumbled the ball and forgot to place my order with my usual spot. Cue panic and Googling of where I could still order at 4pm. Shipley's saves the day! They were still open and happily accepted my order over the phone. Showed up at 6am, order was ready and exactly what I asked for. My coworkers loved them and birthday girl couldn't have been happier."
"Service was quick, however I went during the early morning hours. The donuts were so good and the small coffee was way bigger than I expected."
"First I will say the customer service is beyond fantastic. Great conversation and at least 3 people checked on me while I was deciding.I ordered 1-Sausage Kolache, and 1-blueberry donut. They gave me 2 Kolaches, bag of donut holes and my blueberry donut all for the sake of great service.Kolache was good, bread and sausage was juicy and flavorful. The meat to bread ratio was off but other than that it was good.Donuts were a solid donut, nothing unexpected in flavor but good.I have had some mind blowing donuts so I am as with all my reviews very picky but I would definitely come back here. All of this for the modest price of $3.53!!"
"Their fritters and long John's are wonderful. Their selection of breakfast sandwiches is also excellent.Always friendly staff."
"Everything was fresh & flavorful! Not so sweet at all! A must try when in Katy, Texas!"
"Best glaze donut ever! I mean, wow! So chewy, soft and with the outer layer crispy. I've eaten donuts my whole life from all over this state, Louisiana, California and New York, and right here in Richmond, Texas is the best. There's a donut shop on Shreveport, Louisiana that's as good but their small size. Richmond Donut's are full size."
"I went in about 10 AM and cleared out their selection of kolachies, sprinkled donuts, chocolate glazed and a decent amount of regular glazed. We were in town visiting family and everyone loved them so much, despite this being a local donut shop for them they had never tried them before, and are now hooked. I had my one year old son with me and would have had to make several trips to the car but the young woman serving me had her father help carry everything to the car! So sweet!! Price was pretty decent too. Total was about $30 but considering I ordered 1 dozen kolachies and 2 1/2 dozen donuts plus a couple drinks I think it was fairly priced. We will go back next time we are in town and I know that our family have now switched from Shipley's to this local little gem!!"
"Okay, I am going with four stars but if I were rating the donuts and sandwiches, they would have 5 stars. But, I had the misfortune of listening to my dad who goes here every Saturday. I told him I wanted a Breakfast Burrito. He insisted I get it from this place. So along with the donuts, I got two breakfast taco's. Two bites into the first one and into the trash they went. I thought it was going to take a brillo pad to get the flavor out of my mouth...nasty. So, do not go to an Asian owned donut place to get a breakfast burrito/taco. That is the big lesson here. You go there to get their amazing donuts."
"Definitely not a fan of pastries, donuts, anything too dough-y. Not even a sweet taste for my pallet. This place isn't too far from where I work at and one day I had some delivered to our office and everyone enjoyed it.From the donuts, kolaches, to the ham and cheese. (Surprisingly)Everything was fresh!Usually if you order ham and cheese anywhere, they're ham is very small and it's overly breaded, this actually seemed to surprise me. Just enough carbs and protein. The donuts were awesome, very fresh, the glazes and chocolate ones weren't overly sweet. Has a crispy, airiness to the dough. I didn't get to try ALL of the donuts, but for what I got to try I really like it!I think I might be onto something with these sweet breakfasts."
"Boudain kolache is a must try and I love it! and if you are into hot and spicy, get the boudain jalapeno. Make sure to have them reheat it before eating them. Sundays is a boudain day before heading to church! I love Sundays!"
"My family and I were first timers here a few days ago. The staff is nice and the selection is great. I had gotten a pumpkin empanada and it was good. I'll be coming here again"
"We've started coming to this location a month ago to get kolaches and donuts on Saturday mornings. Every weekend, the kolaches were pretty good. I've even gone during the week once this week and got some and they weren't as good as they are on the weekends but it may be because I went later towards the afternoon and not early in the morning when the kolaches are hot and fresh. This weekend, we ordered 15 kolaches and a dozen donuts. I am so disappointed with the kolaches this weekend. Who ever made them today must've we t out last night, got drunk and came in with a hangover and cooked a big batch of "fudged" (you get the point) up kolaches. ALL of the were busted open. Most of the cheese in all of them were cooked out. They were a hot mess!! I couldn't believe they would sell the kolaches like that to their customers. We paid $30 for the 15 kolaches and dozen donuts and I feel it wasn't worth that at all! I am truly unhappy with the quality of their food today. We will take our money to Donut King in the future... at least they are about customer service, they aim to please and their kolaches are always closed. This location needs to "get it together"!"
"Good selection of items, including breakfast foods. All very tasty, especially the Kolaches and the Blueberry cake donuts. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always greet me with a smile and kind words. The shop is a typical donut establishment, however it appears to be very well organized and clean. Highly recommend."
"This has been here awhile but there's New owners. They serve Thai tea as well as cafe du monde coffee. Nice owners. Kolaches and donuts are always good. Selection got better. They always give us free donut holes too."
"Got to try their mouth watering bread at a school function and OMG! it's hard to resist going for a second piece."
