I like this little place. Very laid back, no frillsI couldn't be sure if they were the owners, but if so, they are the most adorable couple ever. Friendly and chatty, even though I was clearly an outsider, they made me feel at home. The food was decent. It's exactly what you'd expect at a diner. In the interest of keeping things simple, the food is served on paper/styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. The toast is wrapped to keep it warm. As I sat in my chair, waiting for the food, straight ahead was an open door looking out behind the building at the small yard. Shortly thereafter, the door was closed and that's when I noticed the "rest rooms" sign. While I'm certain there were probably outdoor entrances in the back to the restrooms, it just struck me as funny. I can't imagine the reaction of someone opening the restroom door and seeing the outside. In any event, Corner Grill has daily specials that obviously bring in the crowds. The parking lot was filled with cars the first few times I drove past, and as I was there, quite a few people stopped in for to-go orders. That's probably a good sign/

After all the hype and signs around the area as the "best kept secret" in Angier, we decided to visit. Maybe it was my choices for lunch, but didn't feel it was, or it had, anything out if the ordinary. Burger, fries okra. Hot, fresh, but meh. Offered soft drinks in can or fountain. Unsweetened tea was great, may try them again for breakfast.

This was a cute little place to get a good hot dog and fries for cheap ! I'm new to the Angier area and was happy to hear about this place. Will definitely be going back.

We went for the first time about a week ago. There was a lot of positive talk about the place, and since my daughter was visiting from out of state, I thought I would bring her and her friends for lunch. There were a total of six of us.We all ordered either cheeseburgers or grilled cheese sandwiches. The waitress had a very difficult time keeping our order straight, even while each one of us were ordering. When it came to refilling our drinks, she tried to give a few of us sweet tea, when we had diet sodas in front of us. It honestly all became a little frustrating. They were not busy, or in a rush. We purposefully arrived at 11 to avoid the lunch crowd, but to miss the breakfast crowd. It was a weekday. The only two meals that came out as ordered for the grilled cheese sandwiches. The remaining four were completely messed up, but since she had such a difficult time keeping our order straight while we were ordering, we felt it best to just eat what we've been given instead of trying to fix it all. It's a good thing the prices were so reasonable. The food was fairly good, so there's no complaints there. She was also a very nice lady. However, I don't think we'll be going again. It's just not worth the hassle when there are other places in town, and nearby, we could go to that don't mess up our orders so significantly. Highly disappointed.

Corner Grill is the hottest lunch spot in Angier. The parking lot is always full. This is where the locals go. It's a good place for a quick, cheap meal. I like the barbecue and the fried corn.

Now this... Is a hidden jewel! Small, no frills but "Truly Great Food!" We pass this little white building 3 or 4 times a week, going to get our meds at Walgreens. We've said we were going to stop more times than I can remember. We finally stopped this past week. We went in for a quick lunch. We were amazed. The welcome we got right off the bat was warm and genuine. Being our first trip, Kathy behind the counter, told us she didn't have menus to hand us (Covid) but there was one clearly in front of us on the register. We both chose the chicken filet sandwich. It was "Off the charts fresh, tender and beyond moist!" They have crinkle cut fries, canned Pepsi products and sweet-tea. The cleanliness is just the same as the food "Off the charts!" We had to return, a couple days later to get yet another refill at Walgreens. So... this time we went early in the morning. She remembered us and this time, we brought her some of Kathie's homemade honey-pumpkin bread. And even wrote her a Thank You note. I think she was shocked, that a customer did that for them. So... we had breakfast. Sausage and scrambled eggs, and an over easy egg w/bacon coffee and water. My wife told me it was "The best over easy egg w/bacon she'd had in too many years. (That says a lot!) She's always said, good bad or otherwise you should tell a restaurant what you think. She was just over the moon, and boy how I loved those big sausage links. Haven't had those since Ma's Grill closed. A long time ago. So, all we can both say, this is a small hometown family owned type restaurant. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, but please do yourself a favor, stop in! Great food, Great Prices, Great People and CLEAN! You don't see places like this too often. Give them your business. I'm sure you won't get a breakfast, or quick lunch like this near here. We'll be regulars! Love this place.
