Dear Mother of all that is good in Mexico!! These guys are awesome!!!! Order anything, but make sure you get their tamales. And use the green salsa. Good grief. I can't even tell you about how awesome their food is without it flashing in front of my eyes. Must. Have. Taco de lengua....PS: I was just there and got more info: They are at the Fitch Lumber's parking lot Thursday to Sunday, from 6PM to 12AM. They are called Lating something, but they do not have any signs on the cart itself. They could be called whatever they want, they are so good they don't even need a name!!!

I have died and gone to Mexican food heaven. If they can make food this delicious in a portable kitchen then every Mexican restaurant can do it. The only bad part is that I have been waiting to catch this place on a day they were open and I was in Chapel Hill. I had a chicken taco and a pork taco and it was very Delicious. I also had a tamale. The Tamale I had in Texas was crunchy and this one was soft and I prefer the crunchy. I can't wait to go back. Every thing smelled and looked very clean in case people are concerned about mobie food preparation.

If this is the Taco Truck in the Fitch Lumber parking lot across from Harris Teeter, then it's the best Truck in the area. The food is great, with a good selection of items, including vegetarian choices. My go-to choice is a vegetarian quesadilla - $3.25 for a half plate, and it's loaded with rice, tomato, lettuce, and cilantro. They usually have fresh horchata, and in winter they have a warm rice drink. I've heard great things about their steak burritos, though I've never personally had one. Overall, the prices are more than reasonable and the food is consistently good. The only things I would change: it's only open Thurs-Sun, but the hours are good (6-midnight), and they use styrofoam plates & cups.

Went to this place due to reviews & my boyfriends curious mind.It was good, but it lacked something. I found my burrito to be dry. I got the roast & my beau got steak. The cilantro was the only added flavor. They needed beans or sour cream or something to make it more juicy.I was upset with the taco. I got the chorizo & it was very dry. I cook that at home so I know how juicy it can be. Plus, the only thing on it was cilantro.. So like I said, it was dry. There sauces are super spicy! Beware.

Fresh, delicious and fast! I had the pleasure of introducing a friend to genuine street food in a Carrboro parking lot via this taco truck, and I must say it was lovely. We both stuck with the vegetarian option, but judging from the reactions of the people around us, the meat-based offerings were a big hit. The vegetables were done to my liking, being neither too done nor too crisp, the salsas were a good mix of flavour and heat, and the price was right. Top tip: don't try to eat and walk at the same time; spilling this would be a tragedy.

After reading the reviews for here I was excited to try it. I got a taco and a burrito, both were very dry. They lack a lot of condiments with only two sauces you can add that are extremely spicy. I was hoping there would be some kind of sour cream or cheeses. Thankfully I had queso cheese at home to help. The prices are very high considering what you get. No chips or drink come with it. I may visit again but it's doubtful.

This food truck used to be perfect 10 years ago, I went back and the service is ass and then the prices I looked at the dude like no way are you for real? I said whatever let's try it. I tried it and I was so pissed I was ready to go back and argue and fight because it's criminal they charge this and give you the worst food ever. I'm Mexican I have 25 years experience in the kitchen and I'm talking authentic cuisine from Italian to Asian and American but I also have worked with Mexican cuisine and mainly tacos and carnes. The Al pastor tacos aren't marinated right I threw up after one bite and immediately threw it out I realized it was not fully cooked correctly and they used cow skin bits to pass them off as Al pastor tacos which is wrong. The steak tacos are very full of nerves and chewy as heck the chicken is just dry like all the other foods and I don't think they marinate their food or refrigerate it. I seriously em debating whether to report them to health and safety for food they are bad I hope no one goes there anymore and if you do just know if you feel sick or nausea that it's more then likely from them or even food poisoning. I don't even want to give a star. It's so sad taco trucks aren't the same anymore, the Michoacán taco truck down the street next to cliffs meat market if you go just know that their restaurant in Durham failed with flying colors their inspection and dorm refrigerator their food correctly although I admit it's good and taste better and the price ain't bad I do warn you that that truck will charge your card multiple times and steal money I had that issue

This taco truck has proven itself to be my favorite in town thus far (not that I've tried them all). Prices are low and portions are generous, but that wouldn't matter if the quality wasn't high, which it is. Tortillas are freshly pressed and thrown on the grill, and they offer pupusas in addition to the traditional taco truck fare. The pollo burrito is moist and delicious, filled with delicious, mildly spiced but flavorful chicken, very tasty rice, and big hunks of avocado. The tacos al pastor are as good as I've had in the area. The salsas, both red and green, are quite good and provide a satisfying kick for those who like things spicy, which I do.But the one item that puts this truck far above the rest, and indeed into a category of their own, is the carnitas - simply out of this world. This is some of the best pork I've ever experienced, and in a state like NC, that's saying something. Perfect blend of sublimely moist and satisfyingly crispy bits, each bite is packed with a world of porky flavor. Sometimes I feel that they could use a little less salt, but that's a minor complaint for something I'm paying $2 for. Do yourself a favor and try it.
