Love coming here when I'm craving a burger, hotdog, & fries in Tarboro. The burgers are really good. The price is even better! The seasoned beef patty isn't small and very tasty. I like mine all the way but you can customize it anyway you want. The dogs are also good but I usually get the double cheese burger. The fries are also a can't miss. So if you want a great burger and a budget friendly price you must stop into this diner in beautiful downtown Tarboro. Till next time...

Classic diner fare plus at the classic diner! Possibly the best chicken fingers I've ever had! Good food, friendly service and tons of locals. Exactly what I'd expect at a place like this. And, don't order off the menu, get one of the specials written on the daily special board. And try the baked beans, they're yummy!

We went here for lunch, and mind you, the food is definitely not anything to be in awe of, but the place was clean and the staff was friendly. It is a fun little 50's theme diner with a jukebox where the songs only cost a quarter. The food is cheap and the shakes are quite fantastic! This is a good place to go if you want quick, cheap food but aren't too picky.

Bud's Classic is a great little spot in Tarboro! The staff is friendly and the food is quick, good, and cheap. If you are in the mood for a club sandwich or hot dog, Bud's is a great choice.

Based on Dori's glowing review, I thought this place might have been worth a try. In their defense I was told that I was 15 minutes early, which I did not know because there was a wreath obscuring the open times.I bought a paper outside and sat down.And waited.Eventually a woman came out to take my drink order, I had just had a coffee so I didn't want anything...This is how it went...What do you want to drink....nothingWell are you eating then? ....yesDo you know what you want or do you want a menu?...she asked as she walked away.I gave her my order, poached eggs over grits...."We don't make poached eggs".....well over medium then"We make over easy, ore medium and over hard.....I repeated over medium.Breakfast came in a nice glass bowl ...with plastic utensils!And the grits were so hot I wondered if it was melting the spoon!I burned my tongue!.....twice.When the waitress came out to ask me how it was I told her about the hotness she was defensive! "It was because it is early, they were just made and you ordered your eggs on top...that keeps the heat in."I got the check with no prices....when I asked her for the prices she exclaimed...."we'll, I have to add its up..." I wondered why that had not already happened.So my friends if you live in Tarboro maybe it's fine for you to eat here, but if you are passing through....keep on going.

OMG! The footling hot dog was great. Nothing like being able to get it with mustard, chili, onion and slaw - because you can't in other parts of the country. Looking forward to working my way through the menu!

This is a breakfast review. We were so surprised when we walked in! Just like a 50's diner. Very clean, very friendly. We had eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, and coffee. Eggs were all cooked perfectly (we had sunny side up, scrambled, over-medium). Bacon was tender, but crispy. Pancakes were thick and cake-like with a crispy edge. Good breakfast! Good atmosphere!!

Drinks were about all we could or want to get there. Certainly full of locals. Dark and Dusty and Dreary. Lemonade was good, but we opted to eat elsewhere.

Great meal, good atmosphere and the owners and staff are doing an amazing job! I will definitely visit regularly!
